The Weg Law Group Introduce
For individuals in Marina Del Rey and the surrounding Los Angeles communities seeking legal counsel through the "Nearby Lawyers" platform, we present an overview of The Weg Law Group, located at 475 Washington Boulevard in Marina Del Rey, California. This introduction aims to provide local users with an objective understanding of this law firm based on the available information, which includes a detailed account of a recent customer experience. While a single review may not represent the entirety of the firm's operations, it offers valuable insights into certain aspects of their initial client interactions and communication processes.
The physical environment of The Weg Law Group, situated on Washington Boulevard in Marina Del Rey, likely offers a professional setting typical of a law firm. Marina Del Rey is a well-known area with a mix of residential and commercial properties, making it a potentially convenient location for local residents seeking legal services. Clients might anticipate a standard office environment suitable for legal consultations and the handling of sensitive documents. The accessibility of 475 Washington Boulevard is generally good for those in the Marina Del Rey area.
The Weg Law Group can be contacted directly via telephone at (310) 439-3748 or through their mobile number +1 310-439-3748. These contact methods suggest a direct line of communication for potential and current clients. Local users are encouraged to reach out through these channels to inquire about the specific legal services offered by the firm and to determine if their areas of expertise align with their individual or business legal requirements.
Operating within the "Nearby Lawyers" category, The Weg Law Group is positioned as a local legal resource for the Marina Del Rey community and surrounding areas. The firm was reportedly referred by a retiring estate planning lawyer, suggesting that estate planning may be one of their areas of practice. Engaging a local law firm can offer benefits such as convenient in-person meetings and a potential familiarity with the local legal landscape.
Based on the single customer review provided, it is challenging to definitively outline the full scope of services offered by The Weg Law Group. However, the referral from an estate planning lawyer suggests that they likely handle estate planning matters, which can include:
- Drafting wills and trusts
- Estate administration and probate
- Planning for incapacity
- Asset protection
However, the review itself does not focus on the quality of their legal advice or services in these areas but rather on the initial administrative and communication aspects of their client interaction.
The features of The Weg Law Group, as perceived through the lens of the provided review, present a mixed picture. On one hand, the firm proactively reached out to a potential client with a discounted consultation offer, which could be seen as a positive feature indicating a willingness to attract new clients. However, the significant errors in the names on both letters sent to the potential client raise concerns about attention to detail and data management. The difficulty in contacting the firm by phone, with an answering service that does not take messages and a requirement to leave voicemails or use a general email address, could be seen as a potential barrier to efficient communication. The experience of the potential client with "Laura," who reportedly disconnected a call and did not follow up, further highlights potential issues with client communication and follow-through.
The initial contact through a discounted consultation offer could be considered a promotional aspect of The Weg Law Group's outreach strategy. However, the errors in the promotional material (the letters with incorrect names) significantly detract from any positive impression this might have created. The difficulties experienced in attempting to retrieve files and the subsequent poor communication encountered by the potential client do not present a positive promotional image for the firm.
The single customer review raises several concerns that local users may want to consider when evaluating The Weg Law Group for their legal needs. These concerns primarily relate to:
- Accuracy in administrative tasks, such as correctly spelling client names.
- Efficiency and clarity of phone communication and message handling.
- Reliability of follow-up and client communication.
Potential clients may wish to inquire about the firm's procedures for ensuring accuracy in client information and their protocols for phone communication and client follow-up to address the issues raised in the review.
Given the limited information and the negative experience detailed in the review, local users are strongly encouraged to conduct thorough due diligence before engaging The Weg Law Group for their legal needs. This could include seeking additional reviews or references, inquiring in detail about their client communication practices, and ensuring they feel comfortable with the firm's administrative processes. It is important for individuals entrusting a law firm with sensitive matters, such as estate planning documents, to have confidence in their attention to detail and their ability to communicate effectively and reliably.
In conclusion, The Weg Law Group, located at 475 Washington Blvd in Marina Del Rey, CA, is a local law firm that appears to handle estate planning, among other potential areas of law. A recent customer experience highlights potential concerns regarding administrative accuracy and client communication. Local users considering The Weg Law Group for their legal needs should carefully weigh this information and conduct further research to ensure the firm meets their expectations for professionalism and service.

This firm was referred to us by our retiring estate planning lawyer. First they contacted us by letter, offering a discounted consultation. Great, but they sent us not one but two letters, both getting my name wrong. One of the letters got my spouse's name wrong, too. Seriously concerning. This is the firm we're supposed to allow to handle our estate documents? After we're dead, it's too late to fix mistakes. Trying to phone them just to retrieve the file our retiring lawyer had sent them proved to be an ordeal. The answering service takes no messages and requires you to leave a voicemail or email a general email box, so you never know who you're dealing with. I left a voicemail and also sent an email as instructed. Someone named "Laura" phoned me back pretty promptly but defensively said it wasn't her that had sent the wrong letters. Then after starting to tell me she'd send our files, she disconnected the call. She didn't call me back. It was impossible to call her back since there's no Laura in the firm phone directory. Now I don't know if I'm ever going to see my original documents or not.
