I highly recommend the services of The Siemon Law Firm. No divorce is ever easy, and divorces are even much worse when physical assault is an issue. My case was far beyond physical assault. It included assault, entrapment, torture, extortion, deprivation of food, sleep, health, dental care, and more. My captor, and now ex wife was extremely well versed at manipulating men, and the Georgia Legal System. Thankfully, I was able to escape/walk out, in a very small window of opportunity, provided by GOD. After I escaped, I performed a background check on my now ex wife. I discovered that her husband that preceded me, had taken out a restraining order on her, AND, she had Five criminal arrest records, 2 criminal trespass, 2 destruction of property, and 1 Assault that she, “accidentally” forgot to mention to me. She had fits of Anger and Rage that I had never in my life seen in anyone, and she Refused to get help with them. I paid the ultimate price, lost over half of everything I owned, my 401k, stocks, cars and a house that were completely paid for, not to mention relationships with family and friends. It was a horrific nightmare to navigate through, but my attorney, Alexis, helped me through it, was very patient throughout all of the shocking garbage that came from my ex, and in my times of uncertainty and despair from going through even more torture from the ex, once mediation started. My attorney believed in me, supported me, and had my back through the entire process. She even helped pull many of the daggers from my back as well. I felt she fought as hard as she possibly could for me and helped me save as much face as I possible could under the circumstances!

Much like with any law firm, be prepared to open the wallet. I didn't really deal with any other attorneys much aside from my own, Meredith Shea, but I felt it necessary to leave a review for her outstanding work and professionalism. I was unable to continue retainment throughout the entire process (my case was exceptionally deep and after about $24,000 I just had nothing left to give) but Meredith gave me every pointer she could think of and set me up for success to the best of her ability for my future endeavors. She broke the mold of the "shady attorney" stigma and hopefully I'm never in the situation that I need to retain an attorney again but if I am, I would request her by name.

I wanted to wait a few months before posting a review of Siemon Law Firm, just to fully process my divorce journey and experience using this law firm. Overall, I had a fairly pleasant experience and my attorney, Jordan Edwards, got me everything that I asked for. However, there are a few observations that I want prospective clients to understand when not only dealing with this particular law firm, but any divorce lawyer in general. 1) These lawyers do not care about your emotions or what you are going through. They are here to represent you to the best of their ability while refreshing the retainer as much as they can. When you speak with them, skip the small talk and pleasantries because every single second is being charged. This brings me to my second point. 2) Ensure that your correspondence with your respective lawyer is structured, which will reduce the amount of times you need to have a telephonic conversation or send an email. One of the tactics I noticed that they will do is purposefully extend a conversation with gibberish just to justify billing you; or instead of sending you one detailed email, they will send you several short email messages and bill you for each. It is imperative that you set the boundaries of expectations when it comes to communication. Doing so will save you a lot of money. 3) Divorces aren’t cheap and this law firm will remind you that with the number of times the retainer is refreshed. My divorce didn’t even go to trail, but in all it costed me north of $20k. Keep in mind that when you do your “free” consultation they will give you an arbitrary retainer fee of what it cost to go to mediation and what that retainer will be should it go to trail. Expect that cost to be substantially higher when it’s all said and done. It is imperative that you scrutinize the summary of charges. You will see things like “team meetings”, document review, etc. Which brings me to my final point. 4) You must be proactive during your divorce process. My divorce was finalized in April of 2024. I would have never known that unless I reached out to the law firm for a status in which they immediately sent me a copy of my signed decree. I do find it strange at the fast turnaround of response, yet I was still being billed for “team meetings” etc. I speculate they were trying to reduce as much of my retainer as possible prior to closing my file….but that’s just a speculation. In all, these key points aren’t a knock against Siemon Law Firm, but just lessons learned from my point of view. Jordan Edwards did a remarkable job in ensuring I retained the house, 100% of my military pension, and minimum payout to my ex-wife. I would most definitely recommend this law firm. Best of luck with your journey.

Spent $7000 for child custody and support modification. They wanted at least another $3000 just to maybe get a settlement. So I was unable to continue the retainer and now I’ll be going to court myself. I would say don’t use these lawyers but now I truly believe this is just a vampire trade and every American lawyer is like this. So, won’t be hiring anymore lawyers in this lifetime.
