Reviews

  • Terrible resolution, I do not recommend them, over more than 3 years I changed the name of the firm, changed lawyers, the Paralegals every time I called for an update on the case it was a different one, they could not represent any case in court for months and at the same time In the end they were also unable to reach a favorable settlement even though the damage to the roof of the house was real. If I didn't sign and accept the $25 they would give me, I might have to pay for the expenses. That is, if they kept $250, don't believe in the eternal phrase "if we don't win, we don't get paid" it's a lie.

  • Roof Damage Claims: Specialization in claims related to roof damage, often caused by hurricanes, tropical storms, hail, or other severe weather events common in Florida.

  • Hurricane and Storm Damage Claims: Assisting clients with claims stemming from hurricane and severe storm damage, which are unfortunately frequent occurrences in Florida.

Features / Highlights

  • Focus on Property Insurance Claims: The firm’s name, “The Property Advocates,” clearly indicates a specialized focus on property-related legal issues, particularly those involving insurance claims, which is a critical area for Florida homeowners.

  • Advocacy for Homeowners: Their primary role is to advocate for individual property owners against often larger and more resource-rich insurance companies, aiming to secure fair compensation.

  • Understanding of Florida's Property Issues: Given Florida’s susceptibility to natural disasters like hurricanes, a firm named “The Property Advocates” would likely possess specific expertise in navigating state-specific insurance laws and common property damage scenarios relevant to the region.

  • No Win, No Fee (Common Practice): While the provided negative review mentions "if we don't win, we don't get paid" as a phrase they found misleading, this is a common practice in property insurance claim firms. It suggests that they typically operate on a contingency fee basis, meaning clients generally don't pay attorney fees unless the firm secures a favorable outcome. The review suggests a potential misunderstanding or specific case outcome that led to dissatisfaction despite this common model.

  • Direct Representation Against Insurers: The firm acts as a direct legal representative for the policyholder, taking on the burden of communicating and negotiating with insurance adjusters and legal teams.

  • Experience with Complex Disputes: Dealing with property damage claims, especially those that are denied or underpaid, often involves complex legal and factual disputes, suggesting the firm has experience in challenging these issues.

Promotions or Special Offers

While no specific ongoing promotions are publicly listed beyond the general industry practice for property claims, law firms specializing in property insurance claims, including The Property Advocates, typically operate on a contingency fee basis. This means that clients usually do not pay upfront legal fees. Instead, the firm’s fees are a percentage of the settlement or judgment they secure on behalf of the client. This "no win, no fee" structure is a common offering in this legal area, designed to make legal representation accessible to homeowners who might not have the immediate funds to pay hourly attorney rates, especially when dealing with unforeseen property damage. While one review expresses dissatisfaction regarding this model in their specific case, it remains a standard and generally beneficial arrangement for most homeowners seeking assistance with insurance claims. It aligns the firm's success directly with the client's recovery. Prospective clients are encouraged to directly contact The Property Advocates to discuss their specific case and understand the fee structure applicable to their situation.
