My experience with the Noble Law Firm was first class from start to finish. From the first conversation I had with Alex Kelly, the attorney who handled my case, I knew I was in good hands. He is highly intelligent, extremely well-versed in employment/labor law, and he communicates in a clear and timely manner. He has a way of explaining complex topics in layman’s terms and I felt very clear about the case and the legal activities along the journey. Even though the reason for reaching out to the Noble Law Firm was based on a series of stressful events, having effective representation and working with Attorney Kelly, who truly cared about my case, did make the journey a little better. I am pleased with the resolution of my case, and I KNOW it would not have been resolved as successfully without the support and effective counsel the Noble Law Firm provided.

I met with Victoria Keyes for a consultation on November 25th. I was informed by the intake team that they do not schedule legal consultation with everyone but only if there’s a chance if you have a case. I met with Ms. Kepes and I did majority of the talking about what led to my suspension and termination. She told me that I have a case regarding discrimination however I might spend more in attorney fees if it was a negotiated since lose wages are usually higher than emotional wages. She did not give me any vital legal information to take from the consultation. She talked about money and compensation whenever she did speak. I spoke with my sister who’s an attorney but does not practice in NC and there’s no legal advice that I gotten from her meeting to use going forward. I feel this was a money grab as to why I waited over a week to even schedule my appointment. I mentioned to the intake team with the loss of my job I have to ensure that money is being spent appropriately and it makes sense. And this did not happen. I would not recommend this firm. I am highly disappointed.

I worked with Heather on what I would consider a difficult case and she was nothing short of amazing. She communicated well, very prompt and compassionate. She is so detail oriented that she realized some nuances that I hadn't even thought of. She also took the time to explain things to me so that I could make the best decision, without making me feel stupid. Her entire team was very supportive. Above and beyond is an understatement, and I would recommend her to anyone!

My experience with the Noble Law firm did not live up to the positive reputation they seemed to have cultivated over the years. While my relationship with them started positive, it didn’t stay that way. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, the problems I had with them seemed symptomatic of too many cases for their attorneys to give each one proper attention. My problems started after they sent the initial demand letter to my former employer. To their credit, the letter seemed thorough and well researched. Then came the initial phone call with opposing counsel that was pushed back by almost a week without anyone telling me. So, I was left waiting for days for an update, only to find out when I asked about it that the call had been rescheduled. I didn’t even make a big deal over it until the poor communication continued. I rarely received updates I was promised. It was often me who had to initiate communication with them. When I brought up my concerns about this, the responses I got were defensive and uncaring - even though the contract I had with them REQUIRED that I bring up concerns like this with the firm. After their initial meeting with opposing counsel, the poor service continued. I would ask questions about specific parts of my case (which were also “encouraged” in the contract) only to have the attorney give annoyed responses. That seemed to be the running theme: I asked for reasonable information and updates and the lawyer (Heather Helmendach) would reply sounding annoyed. I never felt like my case was getting the attention they claimed it would. They made me feel like I was annoying them by asking for information, and their attitude seemed to be they didn’t like to be questioned or asked to explain anything to a paying client. I felt like even though I was paying them, they were somehow doing me a favor by representing me. Their approach seems quite different from the expectations I read in the NC State Bar’s Rules of Professional Conduct. There was very little proactive communication, they seemed uninterested in answering my questions or addressing my concerns, and I certainly didn’t get the feeling Heather was putting her best foot forward and giving the best representation she could. I wouldn’t recommend this firm. My problems with them aren’t even about winning or losing my case. Their attorney’s poor attitude and lack of concern for me as a client soured the relationship. I definitely left feeling like they were only after my money and they put me on the back burner when the case didn’t seem like it would generate as much revenue as they initially hoped. And if you do hire them, use extreme caution if you dare question anything they do. Their attitude that they are above criticism is perhaps the most repugnant thing about them.
