The provided information includes two contrasting customer reviews offering insights into the experiences of individuals who have interacted with The Lipp Law Firm, PC. One reviewer expresses profound gratitude for the firm and attorney Sarah Mugmon, detailing a two-year legal battle where Ms. Mugmon provided compassion, dedication, and unwavering support. This client, a single mother, felt that Ms. Mugmon's expertise was instrumental in achieving a successful outcome in her case and wholeheartedly recommends the firm for those seeking a caring and dedicated legal team.

In contrast, another reviewer recounts a "disappointing and questionable process" when seeking representation for a federal employment retaliation case. This individual highlights a policy of charging up to $700 for a one-hour consultation, which is non-refundable and not applicable to future services. The reviewer interpreted this as prioritizing consultation fees over genuinely evaluating cases for representation. Furthermore, this potential client reported a quick rejection of their case with a generic response, despite being told the rejection was not based on the merits of the case. This experience led the reviewer to strongly advise against using The Lipp Law Firm, expressing concern about the consultation fee policy and the perceived lack of genuine case evaluation.

  • Expertise in Specific Areas: The successful outcome reported in the positive review suggests competence and expertise in the area of law relevant to that case, although the specific nature of the case is not fully detailed.
  • Policy of Potentially High, Non-Refundable Consultation Fees: A significant point raised by the negative review is the firm's consultation fee policy, which charges up to $700 for an hour with no application to future costs. This policy may be a crucial factor for potential clients to consider.
  • Selective Case Acceptance: The negative review suggests that the firm may have a selective process for accepting cases and may reject potential clients without a thorough review of the case merits, even after a paid consultation.
  • Communication Style: The contrasting reviews highlight different communication experiences, with one praising clear support and the other noting a "vague, copy-paste response" for rejection.

I can't express enough gratitude for The Lipp Law Firm and my incredible attorney, Sarah Mugmon, who helped me navigate a two-year battle. As a single mom, it felt like an uphill struggle, but Sarah's compassion, dedication, and unwavering support kept me going. She made sure I never felt defeated, and her expertise ultimately helped me win my case. I couldn't have done it without her and the entire team. If you're looking for a firm that truly cares about you and your case, I wholeheartedly recommend The Lipp Law Firm. Thank you for everything.

I reached out to this law firm for legal representation in a federal employment retaliation case and was met with an incredibly disappointing and questionable process. After speaking with their receptionist, I learned that they charge up to $700 for a one-hour consultation, which cannot be applied to future legal services or case costs—a clear indication that this is more about profiting from consultations rather than genuinely evaluating cases for representation. When I asked about their level of interest in taking my case, I was told that was "up to the attorney." However, instead of even considering my case, they quickly rejected my request for representation with a vague, copy-paste response stating, "we are not the best law firm to handle your matter." Notably, they explicitly stated that this decision had nothing to do with the merits of my case—which raises the question: If my case has merit, why reject it without review? This type of pay-to-talk model, combined with an immediate rejection and referral to a generic lawyer directory, suggests that the firm is more interested in charging consultation fees than actually helping clients in need of legal representation. ⚠ I do NOT recommend this firm. Be aware that they may charge you a hefty consultation fee only to reject your case without genuine evaluation. If you are looking for committed legal representation, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

If you are an employer who is not following Katie Lipp on LinkedIn, you should be for her great advice on employment related issues. While I have never been a customer of Lipp Law, I have read Katie’s fantastic book – “Build Your Empire” and have followed her for several years on LinkedIn. Katie’s law firm is a breath of fresh air and she does a fantastic job of advocating for important issues in the profession like mental health and barriers that are still faced by women lawyers, even in 2025.

Excellent firm. Those that helped me, even down to making payments were awesome and professional, I highly recommend this firm. Sarah Mugmon was my attorney and she was not only professional, but very passionate about helping those in need trying to resolve an issue with an employer. Once again, I HIGHLY recommend this firm to handle your needs.

Though this firm was eager to help me at the beginning, it gave up too easy when it mattered the most. My main attorney moved to another job/assignment half way through my case and the firm was no longer interested in my case. In fact, I was assigned to another attorney who showed little, to no interest in my case. I would have liked an attorney who would have fought for me all the way. To the contrary, I had to continue fighting for my case on my own.
