This guy does not want to help you if you have a disability. We had a problem with an uninhabitable dwelling and a predatory landlord who disregarded almost all our rights as tenants who was harrassing us. I called this guy and tried to explain the problem. He cut me off, was incredibly rude, didn't even hear the whole problem and said "I can't help you" after I told him my sister is disabled. His opinion was that the landlord was totally reasonable renting a home with no potable water and harassing his tenants. According to the law a lease is invalid in an uninhabitable dwelling and the landlord is liable for relocation costs. Tenants also have the right to reasonable contact from a landlord. Repeated texts & calls & constantly re-entering a dwelling while someone is living in it is all Illegal. This guy doesn't even know that. This guy couldn't hide his disgust when I told him my sister is disabled and on Section 8. She has Down syndrome with dementia. I just sold my house to be her only caregiver. We were both on the lease. Home Forward had not given us permission to move pending an inspection, but they will. No one can force us to live in uninhabitable housing. I will keep my sister safe with or without her voucher, but thats what lawyers are supposed to be for. Right? Not if you're disabled. As a lease holder, I was looking for representation for MYSELF. He literally turned me down before I could tell him that because I told him my sister is disabled. Talk about discrimination. Apathetic, incompetent, "professionals" with no regard for the law are collectively destroying this country & contributing to full scale eugenics, which is why 80% of Portland's homeless population have disabilities and are dying in the streets. People with disabilities hit one obstacle after another trying to simply survive, so they don't. Discrimination is not the exception. Its the RULE. They get to choose between dirty water and a tent & a never ending stream of apathetic professionals that don't do their jobs and repeatedly discriminate. This "lawyer" just broke the law discriminating against my sister. Hes probably not worried because he knows civil rights don't actually exist, because of lawyers like him. This guy doesn't have a lick of empathy & either doesn't know or doesnt care about the law. You're better off representing yourself than using a boiler plate attorney who looks out for predatory landlord's interests over yours. Is he even a real lawyer? I don't know, but Im very glad it didn't work out. I will certainly take my money elsewhere. I am certain I could do a better job representing myself in small claims than hiring a "tenants rights" lawyer who doesn't know basic tenants rights and broke the law discriminating against a little old lady with Down syndrome in less than 60 seconds of talking to her representative.
Got to talk to Harry personally and ask questions about an upcoming case that I may have. Not only did he promptly answer my questions but he also gave me resources in which I could look up. That could better help me for my needs 10 out of 10 recommend!!!!!!!
Harry made our family's nightmare no cause FED right from our super shady landlord. He came highly recommended and did a fantastic job representing my family.
Mr. Ainsworth is my go to for tenant issues. He's one of the few in town that specializes in this field. Though hard to get a hold of due to being so busy, his success with me makes it worth it.
Tried calling them for help multiple times in a two week span and haven’t even gotten a call back. Left messages and all guess they didn’t want my business
