The Document People/We The People operates under the premise of providing legal document services. Based on the available information, The Document People/We The People appears to cater to individuals and businesses needing assistance with various legal documents. One positive review expresses appreciation for their services during a business transition, specifically mentioning the updating of a corporation name and handling other business needs with professionalism. This suggests that they offer support in preparing documents related to business formation and maintenance. The reviewer highly recommends their services, praising their help and professionalism in facilitating business growth.
However, another review offers a contrasting perspective, focusing on the limitations of non-lawyer services, particularly in the context of bankruptcy. This review points out that while the California Bar Association might permit non-lawyers to explain bankruptcy processes, the U.S. Trustee could require the disgorgement (refund) of fees if a non-attorney provides advice in this area. The reviewer suggests that individuals seeking legal advice should hire a lawyer, especially for complex matters like bankruptcy, estimating an average cost of $2000.00 for a lawyer in Pasadena.
This same review offers a nuanced perspective on The Document People/We The People, stating, "You want document We the People are great for the price. They are a good company." This suggests that their strength lies in providing document preparation services at a potentially more affordable price point compared to hiring a full-service attorney. The reviewer commends the staff for not providing legal advice, implying they adhere to the scope of their non-attorney services.
Therefore, when considering The Document People/We The People, it's essential for local users to understand the nature of their services. They are likely equipped to assist with the preparation of various legal documents, potentially including those related to business formation, name changes, and other routine legal filings. Their environment is likely a business office setting where staff members assist clients in completing necessary forms and paperwork based on the information provided by the client.
The "features" of their service seem to be centered around affordability and efficiency in document preparation. They may offer a streamlined process for generating common legal documents, potentially saving clients time and money compared to drafting these documents themselves or hiring an attorney for basic preparation. However, it is critical to reiterate that they do not provide legal advice, and their services should not be seen as a substitute for legal counsel, especially in complex legal situations or when strategic legal guidance is required.
Promotional information is somewhat limited in the provided reviews. However, the positive review highlights their professionalism and helpfulness in business-related document preparation. The other review implicitly suggests their affordability for document preparation compared to attorney fees. This could be seen as a key feature for individuals or businesses with straightforward document needs and a clear understanding of the legal requirements involved.
For local users browsing Nearby Lawyers, The Document People/We The People presents an option for legal document services. If your needs involve preparing specific legal forms and you do not require legal advice or representation, they may offer a cost-effective solution. However, if your situation is complex, involves legal strategy, or requires interpretation of the law, consulting with a qualified attorney is strongly recommended. The contrasting reviews underscore the importance of understanding the scope and limitations of document preparation services versus full legal representation.

I want to share appreciation for such a great service during my business transition. From updating my corporation name to handling all my business needs with professionalism. Very grateful for your help and professionalism in helping me grow my business. Highly recommend!
It is unfortunate that the public does not understand the California Bar Association will allow not non lawyer to explain bankruptcy. The US trustee will require the non attorney to disgorge ( refund the fees) if they do. What you want is a paralegal So they don't. People think they are right when the don't know the rules. This is not Norstrom you don't get what you want, just because you ask. Bravo to the staff for not explaining the process. If you want advise hire a Lawyer, pay the money $2000.00 on a average in Pasadena. You want document We the People are great for the price. They are a good company.
They were very quick to do all of the paperwork and get the job done. The only thing I had to worry about was waiting! Communication was always great when I had a question the office was just a phone call away, and of Lilith was not available, someone else was always ready to help me instead.
If there was a star below zero I would probably put a star there. I would never recommend these people they barely even speak a word of English. They’re just liars they took $470 from me and they never ended up doing what they promised, they actually didn’t even do anything. I’m gonna end up taking them to court what a waste of time. it’s better to spend a few dollars more and get good professionals instead of charlatans.
Very UNPROFESSIONAL staff, Lilly or Lilit or whatever the hell her name is gave me attitude the minute i walked in, acting like she is a lawyer or something, but in reality she is nobody, highly uneducated, she cant even spell words properly or speak basic English. Save your money and Stay Away from this place!!!!!
