Reviews

  • At this time my spouse and I do not wish to give details on why we are leaving this review. However we have recommend several friends, acquaintances and family members to the CLM law firm so we feel it’s only right to do. Especially since several of our referrals have retained Mrs Mitchelle and the firm. Just recently we referred her to friends of friends as we weren’t expecting what has transpired. In previous years it was an honor and privilege to recommend her to anyone, UNFORTUNATELY that has changed. There has been an unexpected change in Mrs Mitchell representation and demeanor which is now being reflected in her work, behavior and communication. When writing this review it was quite conflicting however we came across other recent reviews from clients and even employees, that reflected the same behavior. Although our review is vague, for several reasons we can no longer support and rate Mrs Mitchell at a high standard. On the contrary we would caution others prior to retaining her at this moment in time. We keep Mrs Mitchell in our prayers and wish her the best.
  • I had a consultation with Ms. Mitchell today, for a case that was set for trial August 7th. She explained 3 times she could not find the trial on the docket. She would not answer me directly if she had had cases with parental alienation. After explaining that my 5 children had experienced a 18 month emergency suspension of father's time share due to his mental health issues, she concluded I that she I could not help me because she could not amended my 4 year old petition. Even after being told the General magistrate had voiced this option and 2 attorneys advised me to do so and I have a hearing set for the matter. She did not see that the children traveling 61 miles for school 2 days a week as a case for best interest of the children through unforeseen change. She also did not see one of 5 children not being returned by his father for nearly 2 years as an act of contempt or duress. She did not listen as I told her many details of the story such as the dates, judges names, and decisions and outcomes, as she responded with conclusions of different results. Next she acted as though major details of the case had not been explained. Such as, she explained to me that retro acted support could only be dated back to the petition date something I had already stated to her. To make matters worse, she further acted as if she had to educate me on my children's expressed religious beliefs being likely forced by me when the father with mental health issues had forced them to break them multiple times. She explained as if I could be making something up for my own gain. Needless to say, I feel I paid her 350$ to be explained what I had already told her. Then was told while I had a child support case she would not take it as we did not communicate well after she defended the sabotage of the father and assumed my children had been oppressed by me. UPDATE: I was able to continue my case today, self represented, and secure my motion for leave to amend my petition. The judge granted it, which Ms. Mitchell said she was not going to be able to achieve. Needless to say it seems she likes to take 350$ to belittle people in consultations. Ms. Mitchell I would request you make things right and return the fee.
  • Great attorney. She worked with me anyway she could. Got my case handle and I really thank Her for that.
  • I previously hired Christie for a custody battle (which she LOST) and have dished out THOUSANDS of dollars only to receive very unprofessional service. My mediation agreement was very poorly written with many ambiguities and rookie typos which has caused EXTREME issues and stolen time from me and my child. She also lied about the percentage of time I was getting with my child - a nearly 10% loss of time! I now only have 35% of time with my daughter when I was told I had 43%. She now refuses to even speak to me about it due to a $30 bill I supposedly owe her? I must fork over another few hundred of dollars just to get her on the telephone at all to ask her to fix her mistakes? This is the most disappointing situation and quite honestly- VERY SAD for my family. Shame on you.
  • Professional, Efficient, and Knowledgeable! Excellent experience overall having Christy Mitchell represent us as our attorney. She is Board Certified in Marital and Family Law, an expert in her field, working tirelessly advocating for us and always provided viable solutions. Remarkably compassionate during our difficult times, we’re extremely grateful! Very friendly office staff and provided clear communication.
