Steven D. Cohn Introduce

Welcome to Nearby Lawyers, your platform for accessing information about legal professionals in your local area. Today, we present information regarding Steven D. Cohn, an attorney with an office located at 16 Court St, Suite 2304, Brooklyn, NY 11241, USA. You can contact this office at (718) 875-2400 or via the mobile phone number +1 718-875-2400.

While specific details about the environment of Steven D. Cohn's office on the 23rd floor of a building on Court Street are not available online, it is typical for law offices in downtown Brooklyn locations like Court Street to offer a professional setting. However, in the interest of providing a comprehensive and objective introduction, it is crucial to also consider feedback shared by previous clients regarding their experiences with this legal practice.

It is important to note that the available online reviews for Steven D. Cohn raise significant concerns regarding his professional conduct, billing practices, and client representation. Potential clients are strongly advised to carefully consider this feedback before making a decision about engaging his services.

One review expresses strong dissatisfaction, labeling Mr. Cohn as "the Worst lawyer in the area and very expensive." The client alleges being overcharged and states that Mr. Cohn "still won't give me an itemized bill," even claiming to have been charged for basic administrative tasks such as faxing papers. This raises serious questions about transparency in billing and the value of services rendered.

Furthermore, this same client details several instances of what they perceive as unprofessional and inadequate representation. These allegations include a failure to consult with the client before a hearing, conducting cross-examination "without reviewing the case" (even when the judge offered additional time for review), and demanding a specific amount of alimony without prior client consultation, which ultimately resulted in a lower amount than the client was previously receiving. The reviewer concludes by stating, "Just a few of a long list of ignorant proceedings! Oh and this attorney is always LATE." This paints a picture of a lawyer who may be unprepared, unresponsive to client needs, and disrespectful of court proceedings and client time.

Another review echoes severe dissatisfaction, advising potential clients to "don't even think of hiring." This client recounts a deeply troubling experience where Mr. Cohn allegedly "took the retainer, stated that he will represent me in the court, and then on the court said that he will not be representing me, and never returned the retainer." If accurate, this constitutes a significant breach of professional conduct and raises serious ethical concerns about the handling of client funds and the commitment to representation.

Given these overwhelmingly negative reviews, providing a standard description of services and features based solely on the lawyer's presence in the "Nearby Lawyers" category becomes problematic. The feedback suggests significant issues that overshadow any potential areas of practice. While it is not possible to definitively state the specific legal services offered by Steven D. Cohn without further information, the reviews strongly caution against engaging his services in any area of law.

Features that clients typically seek in a lawyer, such as professionalism, competence, communication, and ethical billing practices, are directly contradicted by the experiences shared in these reviews. The feedback suggests a lack of these essential qualities in Mr. Cohn's practice.

There is no positive information or any indication of promotional offers available online for Steven D. Cohn. The existing reviews serve as a stark warning to potential clients in the Brooklyn area.

In conclusion, while Steven D. Cohn operates a law office in a potentially accessible location in downtown Brooklyn, the overwhelmingly negative feedback from multiple clients raises serious concerns about his billing practices, professional conduct, communication, and commitment to representation. Potential clients in Brooklyn seeking legal services are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution and carefully consider these experiences before deciding to hire Steven D. Cohn. It would be prudent to seek alternative legal counsel with a more positive and reliable track record in the local area. The information presented here is based solely on the available online reviews and should be a significant factor in any potential client's decision-making process.

Beware!! This is the Worst lawyer in the area and very expensive. I know I was over charged and he still won't give me an itemized bill!! I was even even charged for faxing papers. He never consulted with me before a hearing, cross examined without reviewing the case (even after the judge offered extra time) demanded a specific amount of alimony (again without consulting with me) and it ended up being less than what I was getting. Just a few of a long list of ignorant proceedings! Oh and this attorney is always LATE 5
