I had a traffic citation case open with this law firm. Before my consultation appointment I emailed them the ticket to review. The attorney was busy so he was 20 minutes late to return my call during our scheduled appointment. He was not helpful or knowledgeable at all. Because if he looked carefully at my ticket, there is already a court date listed to show up in person. He kept telling me to send in a ‘not guilty’ slip myself and get a court date then call him back… He also spoke down to me in a very rude tone like he couldn’t care for my business. Well, I found a new attorney who sounded much more knowledgeable within the next hour. If you don’t want my business, you won’t have it!

I highly recommend this firm. Mr. Bilkis and every member of the staff is knowledgeable and professional. Most importantly, I could not have had a better result with a ticket i got in Queens that could have resulted in points and my insurance going up. Thanks to the capable members if this firm my ticket was dismissed. All other attorneys that I spoke to said it was hopeless. I'm so happy I found Mr. Bilkis. I couldn't be happier with this result and have and will continue to recommend the firm to everyone I know.

STAY AWAY from this guy. I called his office to hire him to go to court for a speeding ticket last minute after my attorney told me he couldn't make it. His assistant told me that he would be available on the date of court and set up a phone meeting for a few days before the court date. When I spoke to Stephen Bilkis he told me that he couldn't do it and inferred that I hadn't been told the he could. I WAS told that he could. I went to court and got a postponement with another attorney. I decided to call him again to hire him for the new court date even though he seemed like an a-hole. A-holes can be great in court. This time the same. The assistant said he would, and when I spoke to him he "passed" because I had another attorney in court even though I had mentioned I would use an attorney in my first conversation with him. This guy is a terrible lawyer. His office staff are completely disorganized. You should not trust ANY legal matter of any importance to him.

I was issued a very minor charge of simple trespassing from the officer and wasn’t quite too sure what the procedure should be. Unlike other attorneys who were more focused on how much money they can take from me, this law office was kind enough to be truthful with me and explained to me in precise detail what I needed to say and do. Though it doesn’t seem like much work for them to give out free consultation, I was genuinely touched that they were willing to help me out and protect me even without taking me as a client. Thank you guys, I very much appreciate your help and will recommend my future referrals to this office!

If you have Metlife Legal, don't even bother calling. I called for 1 matter and the person on the phone put me hold and came back and said they no longer have an attorney for that matter. I asked about 2 other service they could help me with and nope magically can't assist. Wouldnt tell me what they COULD help me with. I felt like I had a Groupon or something lol. Ridiculous! Just say you don't want to participate into metlife's plan and go!
