Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor Introduce

In the dynamic legal landscape of Atlanta, Georgia, individuals grappling with family-related legal issues often seek out dedicated and experienced representation. Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor is a notable law firm operating within the "Nearby Lawyers" category, providing services specifically tailored to address the complexities of family law. This introduction will objectively detail the firm's presence, services, and features, incorporating insights from client feedback to provide a comprehensive overview for local users.

Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor is situated at 3005 Lookout Pl NE, Atlanta, GA 30305, USA. This location places the firm in a well-established area of Atlanta, likely within a professional office environment that is typical of legal practices. While specific details about the interior ambiance of this particular office are not publicly available, reputable law firms generally cultivate a professional and private setting. This environment is designed to facilitate confidential discussions, provide a sense of calm for clients often facing stressful situations, and support the intricate work of legal case management. The address suggests accessibility for clients in the Atlanta metropolitan area, offering a central point for consultations and legal proceedings.

The primary services offered by Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor revolve around family law, a broad and often emotionally charged area of legal practice. Based on available information, the firm handles cases related to divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and other marital and parental rights issues. These services are crucial for individuals navigating life-altering decisions concerning their families and futures. In divorce cases, the firm likely assists with all aspects, including property division, spousal support, and the dissolution of marriage. For child-related matters, they would provide guidance and representation for establishing or modifying custody arrangements, visitation schedules, and child support orders. Family law often requires a delicate balance of legal strategy and empathetic client handling, as outcomes directly impact personal lives and relationships. The firm’s stated focus on family law suggests a depth of experience in these specialized areas, aiming to guide clients through what can be highly complex and sensitive legal processes.

The features of Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor, as gleaned from public information and client experiences, present a mixed picture. The firm has multiple offices across metro Atlanta and the Greater Savannah areas, indicating a significant presence and reach within Georgia's legal community. They emphasize their commitment to providing divorce and family law services to a variety of communities. Attorneys associated with the firm, such as Ryan Proctor, are sometimes highlighted in positive reviews for their knowledge, dedication, and client care, with some clients praising them for going "above and beyond" and treating cases "as if I was a part of his family." This suggests a potential for personalized and attentive service, which is a key feature for clients seeking support during challenging times. Another attorney, Ashley, is also mentioned positively in a recent review for being "knowledgeable" and providing "hope" in a case, indicating strong individual legal talent within the firm.

However, client testimonials also reveal certain areas that some clients have found challenging. One review expresses significant dissatisfaction, specifically regarding communication and billing practices. This client reported that after an initial conversation with attorney Anne Thompson, their case was primarily handled by a paralegal, Nathalie Mendez. Concerns were raised about requests for child support despite the client's stated desire not to pursue it, and what was perceived as excessive billing for calls, emails, and "simple details," leading to the rapid depletion of retainer money. This highlights a critical aspect of legal service: the importance of consistent attorney-client communication, clear understanding of client objectives, and transparent billing practices. While individual experiences can vary greatly, such feedback indicates that potential clients should inquire thoroughly about the firm's communication protocols and fee structures, including how paralegal work is billed and managed, to ensure alignment with their expectations.

Promotional information for Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor, implicit in its online presence and the nature of legal services, would typically emphasize its specialization in family law and its extensive network of offices. The firm's phone number, (678) 707-8000, and mobile phone number, +1 678-707-8000, serve as direct contact points for potential clients seeking assistance. Firms in the "Nearby Lawyers" category often highlight their accessibility and local expertise. The presence of attorneys like Ashley, who are described as providing hope and being knowledgeable, can be a strong draw for individuals feeling overwhelmed by their legal situation. While some reviews praise specific attorneys within the firm for their dedication and comprehensive support, others raise concerns about firm-wide practices related to communication and billing. Therefore, potential clients are encouraged to utilize initial consultations (if offered) to ask detailed questions about case management, attorney involvement, and fee transparency to ensure the firm's approach aligns with their specific needs and preferences. The firm's long-standing presence and multiple locations suggest a well-established practice with resources to handle a variety of family law cases, but a discerning approach from potential clients based on diverse feedback is advisable.

I do not recommend this firm, when explaining my divorce case I explained if it was possible to get a divorce without asking for child support, I only wanted to finalize my divorce since the father of my son has never taken responsibility and he is a violent and dangerous person I only wanted to finalize the divorce without asking for anything else. My attorney Anne Thompson was the one I spoke to only once to explain my case after that I did not speak to her again and my case began to be handled by the paralegal Nathalie Mendez and she told me that I would see my attorney again until I was in court all the work was done by the paralegal whom I asked many times not to request child support and I explained the reason and my case many times she continued handling the case as she wanted charging for every call, email, template document to which only the client's name is changed, incredibly all the retainer money was spent on 2 invoices charges for calls, emails and charges for simple details. In the end, I asked her to stop working on my case, and she continued working, and then I received another bill... I do not recommend this firm. The interest is in continuing to collect, and there is no interest in the client as a person.

I just did a consultation with Ashley last night and she gave me such hope in my case when I felt like I was lost. She is such a good attorney. I am praying that she is able to help me out with my case going forward. She is so knowledgeable I wish I would’ve went with her on my first case maybe I wouldn’t be in the situation now. But if you’re looking for a reason to hire this attorney, she is a great option!!!!

To everyone, I am currently going through my third divorce, and I can confidently say that my review is backed by my previous experiences, unlike others you may read. Judge and Attorney (yes, she holds both positions, and believe me, it's incredibly helpful!) Ashley Baker Osby has been representing me in my third and most challenging divorce, which involves the custody of my first and only son. As a father, this was my greatest anxiety. Let's be real, society still holds biases. With that in mind, I feared losing my son when searching for an attorney. Ashley was able to secure 60% custody for me, as well as retaining my house, car, and essentially giving me my new life back. This was achieved despite facing a very contentious ex-wife who resorted to lies and underhanded tactics in an attempt to win our case. I could write a five-page review with all the details, but unfortunately, no one in today's age would read it. The bottom line is that Ashley Baker Osby is a phenomenal attorney who expertly navigated me through a tumultuous period in my life. She is highly skilled, dedicated, and unyielding in her pursuit of justice for her clients. I highly recommend Ashley Baker Osby to anyone in need of legal representation, especially in complex and challenging divorce proceedings. She has proven herself to be an invaluable ally in my fight to maintain my relationship with my son and rebuild my life.
