Spall, Rydzewski, Anderson, Lalley & Krajkovich, P.C. Introduce

Welcome to the profile of Spall, Rydzewski, Anderson, Lalley & Krajkovich, P.C., a law firm located at 2573 US-6 in Hawley, Pennsylvania. As a member of the 'Nearby Lawyers' platform, this practice aims to serve the legal needs of the local community. However, a review of recent online feedback reveals significant concerns regarding the firm's administrative processes and staff communication, which potential clients should carefully consider.

One client, in an update dated January 30, 2025, expressed extreme dissatisfaction, stating that after two years, they discovered they were still legally married due to the practice's consistent failure to file necessary documentation with the courts. This reviewer also mentioned awaiting reimbursement of filing fees and indicated that they would give the practice zero stars if possible. This paints a serious picture of potential administrative oversights leading to significant legal consequences for clients.

Another detailed review from a client who initially reached out on January 13, 2023, through their employer's legal plan to file for divorce, presents a mixed experience. The client noted that the initial document preparation by the lawyer was quick and professional. However, the subsequent administrative handling of the case appears to have been problematic. After submitting signed documents and payment for filing fees, a year passed without any contact from the firm. Upon following up, the client learned that the staff member who initially handled their case had retired, and the new contact person, Samantha, claimed no record of the payment. Despite the client offering to resend payment or provide payment details, Samantha allegedly became unresponsive to follow-up emails.

This client expressed frustration over the lack of proactive communication from the firm regarding the alleged non-receipt of payment and the subsequent unprofessionalism of the staff member in ignoring their attempts to resolve the issue. The client, still legally married a year later despite both parties agreeing to the divorce, highlighted the stark contrast between the positive initial interaction with the lawyer and the severely lacking administrative support. They also mentioned the need to amend previously prepared documents due to the passage of time and the inability to get a response from the staff regarding the status of their case.

A third reviewer reported waiting for the return of a "couple thousand dollar retainer." After limited successful attempts to contact the firm and receive an explanation, they stated that the firm had stopped answering calls or returning them, leading the reviewer to consider contacting the bar association to resolve the issue. This further underscores significant concerns regarding financial transparency and client communication within the practice.

Based on these reviews, the environment and features of Spall, Rydzewski, Anderson, Lalley & Krajkovich, P.C. can be characterized as follows:

  • Potentially Professional Legal Counsel: One reviewer specifically noted that the "lawyer was wonderful and professional" during their initial interactions. This suggests that the attorneys within the practice may possess the necessary legal expertise and demeanor. However, this positive aspect is overshadowed by the reported administrative issues.
  • Significant Administrative and Communication Deficiencies: Multiple reviews highlight severe problems with the firm's administrative processes, including failure to file court documents, lack of follow-up on payments, and unresponsiveness to client inquiries. The alleged unprofessional behavior of at least one staff member is also a major concern.
  • Issues with Financial Transparency and Accountability: The report of a missing retainer refund and the lack of explanation for its status raise serious questions about the firm's financial management and communication with clients regarding billing matters.
  • Risk of Prolonged Legal Processes: The experience of one client remaining legally married after two years due to unfiled paperwork indicates a significant risk of delays and complications arising from administrative failures within the practice.
  • Inconsistent Client Experience: While initial legal consultation might be positive, the subsequent administrative handling appears to be inconsistent and potentially detrimental to the client's legal outcomes and overall experience.

The specific legal services offered by Spall, Rydzewski, Anderson, Lalley & Krajkovich, P.C. are not fully detailed in the reviews. However, one client specifically sought assistance with filing a "petition for divorce," indicating that the firm handles matters related to:

  • Family Law (specifically Divorce)

Given the administrative issues reported, potential clients seeking services in this or other areas of law should be particularly diligent in their inquiries about the firm's processes for document filing, communication protocols, and billing practices.

Due to the serious and negative nature of the recent online feedback, it would be imprudent to highlight any promotional features of Spall, Rydzewski, Anderson, Lalley & Krajkovich, P.C. based solely on this information. The prevailing sentiment in the reviews suggests significant risks associated with engaging this practice, primarily related to administrative competence and client communication.

For local users in Hawley, PA, while Spall, Rydzewski, Anderson, Lalley & Krajkovich, P.C. is a nearby option located at 2573 US-6, the publicly available reviews strongly suggest exercising extreme caution. The reported failures in fundamental administrative tasks, coupled with poor staff communication and unresolved financial matters, should be carefully considered before entrusting this firm with your legal needs.

Potential clients who still wish to consider this firm are strongly advised to conduct thorough due diligence. This should include directly and explicitly inquiring about their processes for document handling, communication guarantees, billing transparency, and staff accountability. It may also be beneficial to seek more recent testimonials or consider alternative legal counsel in the Hawley area with more consistently positive feedback regarding both legal expertise and administrative reliability.

To contact Spall, Rydzewski, Anderson, Lalley & Krajkovich, P.C., you can use the phone number (570) 226-6229 or the mobile phone number +1 570-226-6229. However, given the serious concerns raised in the online reviews, it is recommended to approach any initial consultation with a detailed list of questions regarding their administrative procedures and client communication practices.

In conclusion, while Spall, Rydzewski, Anderson, Lalley & Krajkovich, P.C. is a local law firm in Hawley, PA, recent online reviews present significant concerns regarding their administrative capabilities, staff professionalism, and financial transparency. Potential clients seeking legal services in any area, including family law, should carefully consider this feedback and conduct thorough due diligence before engaging this practice. The negative experiences reported by multiple clients suggest a potential risk of administrative errors, poor communication, and unresolved financial issues.

Update: 1/30/25 It’s been two years and I’m learning that I’m still legally married. This practice consistently failed to file documentation to courts. I am currently waiting on reimbursement of filing fees. If I could, I would give this practice zero stars. —— I reached out to this particular law office on 1/13/23 as they came preferred through my legal plan offered by my employer. I reached out to file a petition for divorce. Documents were prepared quickly and sent to me via email. After my review, I signed and returned them via email. I was then asked to send in monies for filing fees. A year had gone by with no contact from them, I reached out to follow up because how long could a divorce take (both parties agree)? Candy has since retired and someone named Samantha has taken her place. Samantha said payment doesn’t show as received and has refused to respond to any follow up email. Firstly, what? You claim to have not received payment from a client but don’t reach out to them in any way? But ok, I will take responsibility for that one..I should’ve followed up and sooner. BUT, Samantha..why be SO unprofessional and not respond to my email inquiry to resolve the matter? Does your employer know you are treating their clients this way and potentially causing them to lose clients? Shame on you! Here was my first reply to Samantha, dated 4/1/24, “Yes, it was sent in after Candy sent the documents. You show no record of having received it? I can resend or call to process payment if you prefer. How does this affect the divorce proceeding? Does it delay it even further? What should I now expect as an end date should things go as planned moving forward? It’s tax season so I’m wondering if I should again just file married but separate rather than joint. Perhaps it would be better to put in for an extension, no idea. I can’t say I was expecting your response.. Let me know how I should proceed.” And still..crickets. I sent another this morning advising that prior documents will need amendments since the contact info is no longer valid being it’s a year later. I asked if I should just reach out to my lawyer directly. But honestly, what a shitshow..lawyer was wonderful and professional when I spoke with him. But Samantha leaves much to be desired. Had I been aware they never received payment, I would’ve gone down an hand delivered, if necessary..it’s a year later and I’m still legally married and can’t get a reply from staff. Unprofessional.

I have been waiting for a couple thousand dollar retainer to be sent back to me. After the few times I got ahold of someone, I never got an answer as to what is going on. Now they don't even answer or call back. I can only assume I have to call the bar association at this point.

Very unprofessional! The firm was hired to handle my closing. They neglected to inform us about entering the final reading of the propane tank into the contract, which costs us about $600. We contacted them to help us in recovering the funds and their unwillingness to help added to the terrible experience. Customer service and professionalism is not their strong suit. There are many other real estate law firms around, choose one of them.

Contacted their office via email twice after emailing all initially requested information. Called the office and spoke to the legal assistant/secretary three times, in a span of the week (I gave them my name and phone number again). Was promised to hear back from them on three occasions, to no avail. First time experiencing such poor customer service.

We have used the firm's expert lawyers for all of our real estate transactions. They are prompt, courteous, and very knowledgeable. Their fees are reasonable too.
