Snyder Hancock & Ashworth Introduce

For individuals and families in and around South Pasadena, California, navigating legal matters often necessitates the expertise of a qualified attorney. Within the "Nearby Lawyers" platform category, local users can find a range of legal professionals and firms. This introduction focuses on Snyder Hancock & Ashworth, located at 1112 Fair Oaks Ave, South Pasadena, CA 91030, USA, providing a detailed overview based on the available online client reviews, which present contrasting experiences.

Snyder Hancock & Ashworth can be contacted by phone at (323) 682-2106 or via mobile phone at +1 323-682-2106. This direct contact information allows potential clients to reach out to the firm to inquire about their legal services or to schedule an initial consultation. While specific details about the firm's office environment are not provided online, it is typical for law offices to maintain a professional and confidential setting for client meetings and legal work. Clients can generally expect a space where they can discuss their legal matters with the attorneys and staff in a private and secure environment.

The limited client reviews available for Snyder Hancock & Ashworth offer significantly different perspectives on the firm's services and professionalism. One review presents a highly negative experience, describing the lawyer as "very unprofessional" and "not being Ernest." The reviewer alleges a lack of communication, stating that the lawyer "doesn’t return calls," and claims overcharging in a probate case, asserting that the firm charged 40% of the total amount when California law allegedly allows only 9%. The reviewer further states that the lawyer did not fulfill their expected duties as a probate lawyer and intends to report the firm to the state bar. This review raises serious concerns about the firm's professionalism, communication practices, billing, and competence in probate matters.

In stark contrast, the second review offers a positive long-term perspective, focusing specifically on Scott Hancock. This client states that Scott Hancock has been their lawyer for nearly twenty years. While acknowledging that his services are "expensive," the client believes that Mr. Hancock "will save you money in the long run" by avoiding unnecessary services. This suggests a lawyer who prioritizes efficiency and cost-effectiveness for the client over potentially inflating billable hours. This review highlights qualities such as trustworthiness and a focus on providing only necessary legal assistance.

Given these conflicting reviews, it is challenging to definitively characterize the services and features of Snyder Hancock & Ashworth. The negative review raises red flags regarding professionalism, communication, and billing practices, particularly in probate cases. Potential clients involved in probate matters should be particularly cautious and thoroughly investigate these allegations. On the other hand, the positive review of Scott Hancock suggests a lawyer with a long-standing positive client relationship who is perceived as honest and efficient, at least in the context of the legal services provided to that particular client over two decades.

From a promotional standpoint, the available reviews offer a mixed message. The positive review of Scott Hancock could serve as a positive endorsement for his individual practice within the firm, suggesting reliability and a long-term commitment to client needs. However, the serious allegations in the negative review could significantly deter potential clients, particularly those seeking probate services. Without further information or more balanced feedback, it is difficult to ascertain a clear promotional message for the entire firm of Snyder Hancock & Ashworth.

Given the significant disparity in the available client feedback, it is crucial for local users in South Pasadena considering Snyder Hancock & Ashworth to conduct thorough due diligence. Contacting the firm directly to inquire about their areas of specialization, the experience of their attorneys (specifically regarding probate if that is the area of need), their billing practices, and their client communication protocols is essential. Potential clients should also feel empowered to ask for references and to seek clarification on any aspects of their legal matter and the associated costs.

For those specifically seeking probate services, the negative review alleging overcharging and inadequate service should be carefully considered. It would be prudent to inquire specifically about the firm's experience with probate cases, their fee structure for such cases, and their understanding of California's regulations regarding probate fees. Cross-referencing this information with independent sources or seeking second opinions from other probate lawyers in the area might be a wise course of action.

Conversely, the positive long-term relationship described in the review of Scott Hancock suggests a level of trust and satisfaction in other areas of law. Potential clients whose legal needs align with the services Scott Hancock typically provides might find this review reassuring. However, it is still advisable to have a direct consultation to discuss their specific needs and determine if Mr. Hancock's expertise and approach are a good fit.

In conclusion, for local users in South Pasadena exploring the "Nearby Lawyers" category, Snyder Hancock & Ashworth presents a complex picture based on the limited and conflicting online reviews. While one review of Scott Hancock highlights a long-term positive experience with efficiency and cost-consciousness, another review raises serious allegations of unprofessionalism, poor communication, and potential overcharging in a probate case. Therefore, potential clients are strongly advised to exercise caution and conduct thorough independent research and direct communication with the firm to address these contrasting perspectives and determine if Snyder Hancock & Ashworth can meet their specific legal needs and expectations. It would be particularly prudent for those seeking probate services to investigate the allegations raised in the negative review and potentially seek alternative legal counsel.

Scott Hancock has been my lawyer for nearly twenty years. He is expensive, but will save you money in the long run, by not trying to provide services you did not need.
