After calling the CVPD at the request of a woman who'd been slapped, I was subpoenaed as a witness. Deputy DA Rene Ruff instructed me to wait outside the courtroom until called. I sat waiting for hours as all the parties came and left. The DA Office had been closed, and Ms Ruff completely forgot about me. I finally left a voicemail and went home. I mentioned being forgotten by Ms Ruff. I was called back the next day by the receptionist, who told me the defendant had pled guilty. When I asked why no one had dismissed me, the receptionist told me that Ms Ruff had "gotten busy with other things, and didn't have time to come and talk to me". She conveyed that my time was appreciated. Ruff didn't bother to apologize to me personally for her unprofessional lack of regard.

I was at the South bay Courthouse and I found a careless District Attorney's laptop. LOL! I did not know who it belonged too and returned it when approached by several deputies (some very rude). Now I am facing jail time. CRAZY!!!! People v. Gunn CS299116, Dept 12. In hospital now with serious life threatening heart issues. They want a conviction that bad!!! How can you be facing jail if you found something and the video supports this? (Not vandalism) Only in San Diego does the D.A's office waste taxpayers money just to convict or try too! Sad! I had to pick a star to post. Otherwise no stars!!
