The online customer reviews for Rogers & Russell, PLLC present a stark contrast in client experiences, offering perspectives on different attorneys within the firm. One review details a highly negative experience with an attorney identified as "Wylie" at R&R, in a DUI case. The reviewer recounts being pulled over for speeding and wrongfully cited for a DUI despite a breathalyzer reading of 0.008 (below the legal limit mentioned). The client alleges discriminatory assessment due to the presence of non-active THC (for which they held a valid medical card). According to this review, the attorney at R&R allegedly failed to return phone calls personally, limited case discussions to court appearances, openly expressed disbelief in the client's innocence, attempted to intimidate the client with threats of jail time and probation, and refused to negotiate a plea deal better than accepting the DUI charge. The reviewer further claims that they were asked for an additional $10,000 to take the case to trial. Feeling unsupported and believing the attorney was prioritizing court relationships over client service, the individual terminated their representation. Subsequently, with a new attorney, the DUI charge was reportedly dropped due to a lack of evidence, and the client emphasizes that a proper review of the case would have revealed this from the outset. The reviewer concludes by labeling R&R as a "scam" engaging in "unethical practice" and suggests potential profiling by the attorney.
In stark contrast, another client shares an overwhelmingly positive experience with an attorney at Rogers & Russell, PLLC named Nic Russell, regarding a long-standing issue with the IRS. This reviewer describes being "hounded" by the IRS for at least eight years despite making monthly installment payments, leading to significant stress and sleepless nights. Finding Nic Russell and attending a consultation proved to be a turning point. The client praises Nic Russell for clearly outlining options and potential outcomes without sugarcoating the situation, while expressing confidence in his ability to help. The reviewer felt a significant emotional relief after the initial meeting. Throughout the entire process, Nic Russell is described as professional, amazing to work with, and non-judgmental about the client's tax debt. Ultimately, Nic Russell reportedly helped reduce the client's tax debt by an impressive 95%, leading to a significant improvement in their quality of life. The reviewer wholeheartedly recommends Nic Russell to anyone needing help with IRS issues.
These two reviews highlight the potential for varying experiences within the same law firm, possibly depending on the specific attorney and the area of law involved. The negative review concerning a DUI case raises serious concerns about communication, client advocacy, and billing practices. The positive review regarding IRS issues, on the other hand, showcases effective representation, professionalism, and a successful outcome.
Based on this information, Rogers & Russell, PLLC appears to handle cases related to both criminal defense (specifically DUI) and tax law. The firm's ability to achieve a 95% reduction in tax debt for one client suggests a strong competency in tax-related legal matters, particularly under the guidance of Nic Russell. However, the allegations made in the DUI case review regarding the conduct of attorney "Wylie" are serious and warrant careful consideration from potential clients seeking representation in similar matters.
Promotional information for Rogers & Russell, PLLC is not explicitly provided. However, the positive testimonial regarding Nic Russell's work in resolving IRS issues could serve as a powerful endorsement for individuals facing similar challenges. The client's emphasis on feeling understood, supported, and ultimately achieving a life-changing outcome speaks volumes about the potential benefits of working with him.
Conversely, the negative review acts as a strong caution, particularly for individuals facing DUI charges. The allegations of poor communication, lack of belief in the client's innocence, pressure to accept unfavorable plea deals, and high fees for trial are significant concerns that potential clients should be aware of.
For local users in Salt Lake City seeking legal assistance, it is crucial to consider these contrasting experiences. If you are facing IRS issues, the positive review of Nic Russell suggests he may be a strong advocate. However, if you require representation in a DUI case, the negative review regarding attorney "Wylie" should prompt thorough consideration and potentially seeking alternative legal counsel.
To gain a more comprehensive understanding of Rogers & Russell, PLLC and determine if they are the right fit for your legal needs, it would be advisable to contact them directly at (801) 899-6064 or +1 801-899-6064. In conclusion, Rogers & Russell, PLLC in Salt Lake City has received both highly positive and highly negative feedback online. While Nic Russell is praised for his effective work in tax law, another attorney, "Wylie," is the subject of serious allegations in a DUI case. Local users should carefully weigh these contrasting experiences and conduct thorough due diligence, including direct communication with the firm, to determine if Rogers & Russell, PLLC can meet their specific legal needs and expectations.

These are the facts... I was pulled over for speeding and wrongfully cited for a DUI. I blew 0.008(Legal limit is 0.5) and was still arrested and put in jail(Likely a discriminatory assessment). They found "some" THC in my system, none active and I carry a valid medical card. My atterny at R&R; Never answered phone calls or returned them personally, would only discuss the case at appearances, openly admitted they did not believe in my innocence, tried to intimidate me with threats of jail time and probation and refused to argue a plea deal better than accepting the DUI charge. They told me I had to pay an additional 10k to take it to trial if I did not take the deal. After frustration and feeling beat down, I decided this atterny was not here to serve me, but to serve the court and use me to get commission for a citation. I removed them from council and within a month, my new atterny not only did NOT charge me to take it to trial, but the prosecutor immediately dropped my DUI charge due to a lack of evidence... Any atterny that actually looked at my case would see the slam dunk. R&R is a scam and uses unethical practice. My atterny was likely profiling instead of listening. Bad buisness, Wylie.
Where do I begin. If I could put 10 stars, I would. I had been hounded by the IRS for at least 8 years, and although I was making monthly installment payments, I continued to receive letters regarding default and stating that I would default if I did not pay at least $400 a month. I honestly could not afford it. I had so many sleepness nights because of the IRS. We all make mistakes, and trying to right those mistakes with the IRS on your own is almost impossible. I found Nic Russell and went in for a consultation. Nic went over my options and possible outcomes. He didn't sugarcoat it but he felt confident he could help me. I left our meeting feeling like a weight had been lifted. He was professional and amazing to work with throughout the whole process, and he didn't make me feel like an idiot for owing so much money. He helped me reduce my tax debt by 95%. Seriously, I can breath again. Without hesitation, I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing help.
These guys are amazing! Everyone that i have worked with was very helpful and knowledgeable. Maddie and Kate are always so sweet and go above and beyond to help you. Nic was our attorney and he really knows his stuff! He made us feel comfortable throughout the whole process and made sure we knew what was going on every step of the way. Would highly recommend them! Thank you!
Steve and Nick and their team are extremely professional. Never leaving you feeling alone in your situation. They believe in what they do, and from here out, will always be my attorneys!
