Mr. Ordway provided great legal advice, compassion, and understanding towards my case. From the moment I set foot in Bill’s office, I was greeted and was made to feel comfortable. Divorce is an awful experience to go through, but having someone on your side who you know has your best interest in mind is such a great feeling. The Ordway Army was behind me the whole time and even stood on the battlefield for me. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for great representation. Worst service experience I’ve had in my life. I spent about 10k to have my legitimation/custody case filed only to have it dismissed 8 months later after being assured multiple times by William Ordway that we were taking the steps to have the right jurisdiction manage the case. He stated he thought personally it would be more convenient for my ex and I to move the case to Florida but never stated there was a chance the case would get dismissed because of a “convenience forum”. My ex and son had been living in Georgia for a year prior to and during the case filing. My ex moved to Florida almost two months after the case had been opened only to start her own case in that county. I emailed Ordway asking why bother taking the steps to fight the motion to transfer and the new case opened in Florida if the case in Georgia was going to be so easily dismissed. I later terminated our contract. I never received an answer for the unnecessary actions but only a response of “we will send you your file and best of luck moving forward”. He never seemed to me to have my best interest in mind, only the thought of how can we drag this on so I can make more money. He was also condescending to me. I had looked up the law on custody case jurisdiction in Georgia and mentioned to him my findings. He had said “I see you got your law degree from Google University”. Second to last phone conversation we had, he asked if I had hired an attorney in Florida because he saw the case my ex filed had been reopened. I had to remind him it was reopened because of the pro se letter he drafted for me as response. Ordway Law would bill me for large chunks of time supposedly “reviewing my file” but I would get asked the same questions over and over on phone calls making it seem he never researched anything. When asked to prove the billings in writing I never received a response. Ordway Law wasted time and my money having me unnecessarily fill out a financial affidavit three different times with no use at all during the case. I had asked for and received my case file that Ordway Law had for me. The case file did not have any notes on his conversations with the opposing council even though I was billed for his long calls with them. I never received my remaining balance back of about $600 from Ordway Law even though I was told over the phone I would get a check back for the leftover money. I would highly recommend to stay clear from doing business with this firm.
