Very good experience with a recent Nochumson U talk. Earlier this week, Alan Nochumson spoke to my real estate team at our Fishtown office. Alan speaks in a passionate yet down-to-earth way and we appreciated his time discussing some real hot topics for us (tax abatements and zoning issues). Where I think Alan is at his strongest is speaking in detail about his own experiences with clients as well as maneuvering through the challenges working with the city. I'd look forward to another focused chat with Alan and definitely recommend it to others. -Christian Fegel, Realtor, Philly Home Girls Real Estate Team
The receptionist told me that this firm does not represent tenants because of conflict of interest. Whatever that means did not make any sense to me nor did she explain further.
Completely professional and highly knowledgeable. If my client needs a real estate atty I always send them to Alan with full confidence.
My girlfriend and I worked with Alan on our first home purchase and he was worth every penny. It was hard enough to find a house that we both loved so having a trusted partner that we knew was on our side was a huge relief. He was very reachable and got back to use quickly. During the closing he sat with us and went through all 100+ pages and made everything very simple. I recommend Alan on real estate transactions without hesitation
My wife and I used Alan's service as an attorney when we sold our house (FSBO). This is a flat fee service. We were not impressed by Alan's communications. I'm not going to go into details, but on a few occasions there were misunderstandings that brought a good amount of stress and confusion. Alan is great at communicating over the phone, but not so much over text or email. I have no doubt that you want him on your side if troubles arise. Seems knowledgeable. But when things go smoothly (ours was a pretty straightforward sale), hiring an attorney was probably an overkill. And I certainly wish Alan had specified more clearly from the beginning what we could expect from him, and how things would work out. Overall I think I would hire Alan for complex legal issues but I would not recommend him for the kind of service we hired him for. I'm an organized person and like to be on top of things. I understand that the kind of low-key flat fee services we paid for is not his priority, but the problem is that it showed. I like to post 5-stars reviews, but I just can't on that one.
