Completely unprofessional and at points malicious in his actions. I hired Carl Nicolas as my attorney for a DUI case and It has been the worst decision i made this year. If you hire carl these are some of the things you could possibly be looking forward to. Poor communication skills: failed promises of returning phone calls 30 minutes after court appreances, only to have to follow up with him days later. To a response like (i thought we had already had that call). Not sending information of court appreance until minutes before the appreance. Unanswer txt. Possibly dishonest payment practices: When I initially hired him my first payment was a direct payment via zelle. He responded back to me that he did not recieve a payment. I check my account and told him the payment was delivered. He said, he doesn't see it and sent me a screenshot of his recent account payment. After a quick review of the screenshot i was able to find that he did indeed recieved my payment and told him where to look. This is what you will be hiring. I whole heartedly believe if i would have sent a second payment he would not have refunded me. Another moment was when the first Auto payment was due to be receive from my account. i receive a notification from my bank that a payment was due but no funds were removed I sent a txt to carl if i needed to pay directly again or was it automatic no response, of course, so i sent another direct deposit. After receiving the payment directly he still continue to take out the automatic payments and never refunded or credited me for the additional payment. Cowardice and Unprofessionalism: At around mid Feb, i truly understood that carl was not some one i could work with and i fired him. I asked him to removed himself from the trial and notifiy the judge. His response was I DO still work for you and will step down as your attorney at your next court apperance. I told him it was unnecessary and to notified the judge as needed prior to our court date, he refused. He also did not take off the automatic payment from my account and i had to tell my bank not to transfer funds to him. The date of my court appreance instead of appearing via zoom. This "Adult Male" decided to have an associate of his to step down for him. Of course the judge would not allowed a random attorney to do something like this. So, i had to ask if he could be removed. Final note: When i received my public defender one of first thing he did was laughed after saying, "So, Carl Nicolas". It has never been my goal in life to tear down another black man, but we have to have standards.
I highly recommend using Carl Nicholas law firm! He goes above and beyond for your case and makes sure to keep you informed along the way. He did everything and more for my case than I ever expected! I’m fighting a dui case and he got my license back so fast and has helped me tremendously . He was able to get me my life back by getting rid of this case for me. If in need for law services, this is definitely the way to go! Personably , knowledgeable and honest, 5 star attorney!
