Nathan was very professional and all-around great to work with during my first-time homebuying process! He responds to emails/phone calls quickly and consistently follows up with the involved parties to ensure everything moves along in a timely manner. During the closing meeting, he was professional, thorough and answered all my questions, strongly advocating for me when there was a small hitch in the process. Update from first review, which asked me to give him! Beware of this joke of an attorney. Nate is kind of shady and ended up costing us more than $3,000 in what he admitted to as his mistake. When we agreed he didn't need to be part of our buying process (new construction, pretty straightforward), and btw he said he didn't want to be either (all in writing via email), he had the audacity to call the lender up just as we we're walking out the door from our closing to ask for his fee -- so crazy! That was the first indication of his shadiness. From the selling side, he was unorganized and did not listen or even pause for one second when I raised concerns over the amount we were pre-paying in taxes as part of our closing costs. Three or four different times, I said the estimation seemed way too high and was essentially told that I just didn't understand. That said, I made sure to look up what the taxes ended up being and wouldn't you know, we ended up paying more than $3,000 over what was needed; when I brought this to his attention, he said he miscalculated. In an act of good faith, he did say he would personally repay because it was his mistake. Well, that was about 8 months ago -- only received about half and it's been a complete nightmare trying to get responses or updates from him. Since November, it's been crickets because he's waiting for an 'excess of funds' to come his way apparently -- aren't we all! So listen, do yourself a favor and find yourself a competent lawyer for any of your buying or selling needs -- you'll save time, headaches, and money.
