However, it is essential to present a balanced perspective, and the available information also includes negative feedback from another client. This review details significant dissatisfaction with the services received. The client alleges a mistake on a court order that resulted in additional costs and inconvenience. Furthermore, the review raises concerns about the firm's billing practices, claiming a rapid depletion of the initial retainer, followed by subsequent demands for substantial additional payments without adequate written justification. The client also describes a dispute over a "paid in full" note written on a check, which the new attorney allegedly deemed inappropriate after the check was cashed.
This negative feedback highlights potential issues with attention to detail, billing transparency, and client communication. While it is only one perspective, it is crucial for prospective clients to be aware of this reported experience. As with any legal service, it is advisable for prospective clients to conduct their own due diligence. This may include scheduling an initial consultation to discuss their specific legal needs, clarify the firm's fee structure, and understand their approach to handling cases. Asking for a clear written agreement outlining the scope of services and billing practices can help ensure transparency and avoid potential misunderstandings. Jennie Larossa was my attorney for my divorce she covered every detail to ensure the best result for me. Jennie and her team including the firm’s attorneys and assistants were supportive and stuck with me when I felt like I couldn’t emotionally handle the stress. Jennie is supportive, patient and felt like a true friend during one of the most difficult times of my life. I look forward to her handling my next trust. I highly recommend Jennie Larossa.
Rusty made a mistake on a court order that cost me extra hassle and money to correct. They burned through my retainer incredibly quickly. After that, I paid them what they said I owed them. A few weeks later they demanded $4,000 more and refused to provide a written statement. After I switched lawyers, they chased me for another $5,000. After some discussion, I just wrote them a check to be rid of them. They cashed the check, but they scratched out the "paid in full" note I had written on the check. I was told by my new attorney that this was illegal.
Poorly handled case, evidence was not submitted, I was passed off to different lawyers in the firm and Ms. LaRossa backed out of a written agreement we made and charged me for a hearing that never occurred because she was trying to recoup the loss of hours she spent trying to rectify the issues of the first hearing after her team dropped the ball on my case. Avoid this place at all costs.
Jennie La Rossa is unreliable, untrustworthy, unprofessional and not responsive. My mother retained this legal team around 5 ears ago and she’s gotten nothing but heartache since. After 5 years and well over $50,000 paid to them, my mom’s divorce still isn’t final. It should’ve been a simple divorce. My mother retained Jennie but when litigation started she pushed Martha off onto my mom. My mom being in such a weakened state, she didn’t do anything. Jenney literally said that Martha was a “pitbull” but little did we know that pitbull would turn on US!!! . My mom went in because she had some concerns and Martha in turn screamed and yelled In my moms face because she had concerns that she wanted to tell Jennie without Martha in the office. She wanted to tell Jennie that Martha wasn’t doing her job and literally everything my mom had been promised was not done. Martha continually said that she would talk to my mom after each court date and my mom never heard from her. However, the bills kept coming in. Martha told my stepbrother to get the “F” away from her in court one time because he was asking her a question. He has since passed away from a terrible disease. I was told by one of the office staff that this attorney’s office had most l of their websites redone so that they would have a 5 star rating because they have A LOT of bad reviews out there somewhere! (look for them) . I will keep an eye on this review and make sure it doesn’t get erased. Another person in the office told us that if we wrote a good review for them they were sure they could get some money off of our bill. That’s not me, I wouldn’t do it. I didn’t write any review until it was from the heart. Please do yourself a favor and hire another firm.
Morrison, LaRossa, Price & Iturrioz is a terrific law firm! They helped me out tremendously. They have always been very professional, courteous, and always demonstrated specific attention to detail. They provided excellent service and have always been available, even in short notice situations. I highly recommend them to handle your legal needs.
