I had an error in my 2022 Utah Tax return that stemmed from an incorrect W2 from my employer. long story short, I owed Utah thousands more than they collected in withholdings and they wanted it now with penalties and interest. When they filed the "NOTICE OF LIEN AND INTENT TO OFFSET" (very intimidating) it somehow sparked dozens of these fly-by-night "tax resolution agencies" to flood my mailbox with dire warnings about how I must hire them immediately if I am to survive Utah's tax man. Fortunately I found a real lawyer, in Utah, that was able to cut through the problem without trying to take advantage of me like these vultures that started circling no less than 48 hours after the lien became public record. Michael R. Lofgran of Huntsman, Lofgran, and Walton could have joined the feeding frenzy, I was that vulnerable. But within minutes he was able to see that I could solve this myself with the Utah Tax Commission. In less time than it takes to get a free consultation, it was over. Not everybody will be as lucky as me and may need to retain somebody like Michael for a hard fight. I've decided he is worth that trust. He'll be my first call should something like this ever pop up again. Thank you sir.
