I have a dream home in Portland I have owned since I was 29yrs old. I had to come back east to be close to my parents. I rented my beloved home and have had issues w non payment w the tenant. I interviewed 2 attorneys to assist and it was a nightmare conversation. Afterwards I had a headache and was filled w fear. I spoke w Pete and it was like a whole other world. Clear concise proactive and sooo reasonable. Whew so glad attorneys like him exist.
It's been a couple of years now, but we were selling my mothers' home & had a tenant that threatened not to move out. I contacted Pete and he was very helpful in explaining exactly the process I needed to do in Portland, which has tricky landlord/tenant laws. He was confident he could help me through the process and has a professional yet friendly attitude. It went very smoothly so I did not have to go court and he charged a very reasonable fee. I would highly recommend Pete Meyers.
I was referred to Mr. Meyers by another attorney on a commercial property eviction post pandemic. Mr Meyers led me through the complicated, time-consuming eviction of a commercial business tenant that, as it turned out, had fled the county. They had walked out of the business space, left all of their possesions, even after I had not charged them their rent from close to a year, as COVID restrictions, and the troubles in downtown Portland had completely crippled their business. Very sad, they were good folks, but it left me with a physical and legal mess, that needed to painfully be resolved in court proceeding, and a formal eviction with the removal of personal, business, employee documents, equipment, and customer possessions they had left behind. Mr Meyers was an expert who patiently guided me through the lengthy process, filing court papers, notifications, and checking for potential liens on equipment before I could dispose of it. I had no idea what that formal process entailed. He knows exactly what needed to be done at a fair price and was just the advocate I needed on this legal issue. I could not have resolved this alone with all the potential pitfalls or worse, without his help and guidance. I would highly recommend Mr. Meyers and will use his services again if or when needed. I am a professional in my field of medical care and can appreciate a fellow professional in a field I know little about. I know a whole lot more now after going through this painful, unfortunate experience, on a tenant we were unable to correspond with as they had sadly disappeared.
To give a little background, this was a landlord tenant eviction process I (the landlord) was pursuing and dealing with a very difficult tenant. I did not by any means give him an easy task. When handling my eviction process he was extremely understanding, thorough, detailed and very nerve calming. He effortlessly handled my case with ease and turned a very difficult and stressful scenario into a defused, resolved court order from a judge. He communicated every step of the process and answered all of my questions quickly. He is a Veteran just as I am, and even on Veterans Day he still responded to my much needed questions. If i ever need any legal assistance in the future and dealing with a difficult tenant I will be without a doubt come to Pete. Again Pete, I can't thank you enough for everything you have done. I hope and pray you have a continued successful rest of your year, and beyond. Best of luck to you and stay safe.

I'm a tenant and this is the lawyer they have used twice to try and evict me from a space I have been renting for 18 years. I had some financial issues and had to send them multiple payments. It's a very long story, but they cashed checks they claimed they didn't receive. This was after I paid the entire rent, late fess and attorney fees. Therefore, I had made up the entire month along with fees. The ",missing checks" were cashed. The response from this attorney was patronizing and not professional at all. When I questioned the cashing of checks that "they didn't receive" his response was not only less than professional, but poorly worded and grammatically incorrect. If you spend all of that time going to law school....wouldn't you at least make an effort to check grammar?
