• Peter Messersmith and his paralegal Jen were a delight to work with! As stressful as working on a green card is, they made the entire process as smooth as possible and I really appreciated all their excellent work. I've contacted other lawyers before Peter about my specific NIW case and all of them felt that I would not be successful due to my lack of publications and citations. But Peter and his firm felt I had a chance, and finally after nearly 2 years, my green card will be arriving in the mail very soon. • My wife and I were both on F1 status but since her OPT was coming to an end and since she wanted to keep working, we had decided to start looking for an immigration attorney to apply for the NIW EB2 green card. After reading as much reviews as we could, we had realized that Peter seemed to be the suitable attorney for us mostly based on his high ranking and success rate. We contacted him and scheduled an appointment to have a face-to-face conversation. Our first impression after the 90 minutes appointment was very positive. He was very patient and knowledgeable and we hired him the day after the appointment. His attorney fee was not the lowest, but he was the only one processing all our documents before submission and, as other reviewers already mentioned, there are no additional fees to be charged besides the one mentioned in the contract. Despite the fact that I was still in the last months of my PhD and I had only 5 publications at that time, Peter was very confident that I had a very strong case and he was absolutely right. The I140 was approved in about 9 months after submission and we received our green cards 3 months later. This process went extremely smooth and painless for us and we are really grateful. The only downside in our experience was the total price which was high. Since we wanted to keep working, we both had to apply for the EAD card, which require signing a separate contract with its own fees. People should keep in mind that those prices do add up and it can make a significant difference if you don’t budget for it in advance. Besides that, we had a great experience with this law firm. He filed our green card petition on both EB1A and EB2 category in 2015. He suggested me not to go for premium processing but to file as a concurrent application for EB1A category. Processing of our case got delayed in USCIS for some unknown reason and It took almost 1.5 years to get the green card in hand. Filling concurrent application did not save any time rather we had to do medical exams twice as it was more than a year old. Finally Peter got our cases approved in both categories which we made us very very happy with the outcome. We definitely recommend Messersmith Law firm for green card application. I think Messersmith Law firm handles the cases very professionally. During this entire time, I spoke with Peter only once over phone, rest of the communications was by email. He is very good at answering emails. I also appreciate the helps from Peter's assistant, Jen Ren during the entire time. The only thing I found as cons is - Peter is very expensive compared to the other highly-rated immigration Lawyers. He charges for EAD/AP applications separately which goes with I-485 application and charges for answering any RFEs you receive from USCIS. But at the end of the day, I can't complain because Peter and his law firm gave us the best outcome which we payed for.
