We are pleased to introduce McMichael & Gray PC, a law firm located at 2055 N Brown Rd #250, Lawrenceville, GA 30043, USA. McMichael & Gray PC specializes in real estate law, particularly handling property closings for buyers and sellers in the Lawrenceville area. They can be contacted at (678) 373-0521 or via mobile at +1 678-373-0521.
Information regarding the specific office environment of McMichael & Gray PC is not detailed in the provided reviews. However, as a professional law firm, it can be expected to offer a setting conducive to legal consultations and the finalization of real estate transactions. The contrasting client experiences suggest that while some interactions are perceived positively, leading to successful closings, others have encountered significant issues that impacted the overall experience.
The primary services offered by McMichael & Gray PC, based on the available reviews, center around real estate closings. This includes representing buyers and sellers in the process of transferring property ownership. One positive review from a Realtor indicates successful closings on multiple occasions, with the attorneys described as "wonderful" and taking the time to answer any questions that arise during the closing process. This suggests that the firm is equipped to handle the various complexities involved in real estate transactions and aims to provide thorough support to their clients.
However, a significantly negative review details a problematic experience involving a refinancing process where a security deed was mistakenly attached to the wrong property during a previous closing handled by McMichael & Gray PC. This error led to substantial delays in the refinancing and incurred extra costs for the client. The client recounts a frustrating experience where the firm initially acknowledged the error but was only willing to cover half of the additional fees, which the client found unacceptable, especially as a business owner who would not bill clients for their own mistakes. This negative experience highlights a potential issue with attention to detail and the firm's approach to resolving errors that cause financial harm to their clients.
The contrasting reviews reveal key features of McMichael & Gray PC. One positive feature, as noted by a Realtor with multiple successful transactions, is the knowledge and helpfulness of the attorneys during the closing process. Their willingness to answer questions thoroughly suggests a commitment to client understanding and a smooth transaction. This positive aspect indicates that when things proceed without error, the firm can provide satisfactory service.
However, a critical feature highlighted by the negative review is the potential for significant errors in handling crucial legal documents, such as security deeds. The consequences of such errors can be severe, leading to substantial financial costs and delays for the affected parties. Furthermore, the firm's handling of their acknowledged mistake, by only offering to cover a portion of the resulting fees, raises concerns about their accountability and commitment to fully rectifying their errors. This approach left a lasting negative impression on the client, who, as a Realtor, would no longer recommend their services.
Given the nature of the provided information, which consists primarily of direct client experiences, specific promotional information is absent. However, the positive review from a Realtor who has used their services successfully on multiple occasions could be seen as an indirect endorsement, suggesting that for some real estate professionals and their clients, McMichael & Gray PC has provided satisfactory closing services. This Realtor's statement implies a level of trust and competence in the firm's ability to handle real estate transactions effectively when no errors occur.
Conversely, the strong negative review serves as a cautionary note. The detailed account of a significant error and the firm's partial resolution offer a starkly different perspective on their service and client care when mistakes are made. This account underscores the importance of meticulous attention to detail in real estate law and the potential financial and emotional toll that errors can take on clients. The client's statement that they would never use or recommend the firm again is a powerful negative indicator for potential clients.
In conclusion, McMichael & Gray PC in Lawrenceville, GA, specializes in real estate law, primarily focusing on property closings. While one review from a Realtor suggests positive experiences with knowledgeable attorneys who provide thorough support during closings, another detailed account reveals a significant error in handling a security deed that led to substantial financial losses and frustration for the client. The firm's response to their acknowledged error, by only offering partial compensation, was deemed unacceptable by the affected client. For local users seeking real estate legal services, it is crucial to consider both the positive indication of smooth transactions when error-free and the potential for significant and costly mistakes, along with the firm's approach to resolving such issues, as highlighted in the available client feedback. McMichael & Gray PC can be contacted at (678) 373-0521 or +1 678-373-0521 for inquiries regarding their real estate law services.

I absolutely would NOT recommend this law firm to handle your real estate closing! Unfortunately, we used them several years ago to close on two properties at the request of the seller. We thought everything was fine until we needed to refinance one of the properties. We were informed during the title search that the security deed was mistakenly attached to the wrong property. This error had to be corrected before we could move forward. It was an absolute nightmare and caused our closing to be delayed several weeks. This delay costs us hundreds of dollars in extra closing costs/fees. They initially admitted to their error but instead of taking full responsibility, they were only willing to partially take responsibility...which meant they would only pay for half of our additional fees but not the entire amount. After weeks of back and forth I was so angry and worn out from the whole ordeal, I just wanted to be done with it. In retrospect, it was only a few hundred dollars but I am a business owner and there is no way that I would EVER make my clients pay for MY mistake! Their gross negligence costs us money and that is absolutely unacceptable. I am a Realtor, and my clients depend on me to recommend reputable law firms to handle their closings. To be honest, I would never use their services again and would not recommend them to anyone.
As a Realtor I have successfully helped my sellers and buyers close with this attorney's office on multiple occasions. In every instance the attorney's have been wonderful, they take their time while answering any questions that may arise during the closing.
I love working with McMichael & Gray! Sarah Dudley and Heather Graham made the process so easy for my clients and myself! They were always on top of things. They communicated with us every step of the way by keeping us informed, answering questions, and making sure all deadlines were met. They really went above and beyond! They always provide top notch service!
I am loan officer and have used McMichael and Gray for my closing previously. Their service and professionalism has gone down considerably. I had my own personal closing done there and was very disappointed.. will not be referring my closings to them anymore.. sad to lose a good law office. have tried to call them and no one picks up the phone either..
McMichael and Gray is a firm who truly cares about everyone and has the best customer service. They are full of knowledge and go above and beyond. Their level of service is hard to find these days. You will not be disappointed picking them to handle your closings!
