When choosing a legal representative, it is crucial to consider the experiences of past clients. The available reviews for Matthew Shahon Law Offices offer direct feedback from individuals who have utilized their services. These testimonials provide valuable insights, although it is important to note that they represent individual experiences and may not be indicative of every client's interaction with the firm.

One reviewer shared a mixed perspective, stating, "He is a warm person but when it comes to being a lawyer, there were many balls dropped on my case, to say the least. I had to switch to another lawyer after giving him benefit of the doubt a little too many times. If yours is a simple case, which divorce cases rarely are, perhaps not a good idea to pay $200 for the initial consultation fee." This feedback acknowledges a positive personal demeanor but raises significant concerns about the handling of the legal case, specifically mentioning "many balls dropped" and the need to switch to another lawyer. The reviewer also advises caution regarding the initial consultation fee, particularly for complex cases like divorce, which they note are rarely simple.

Another reviewer offers a strongly negative assessment, stating, "Mathew is the worst lawyer you can get..if your in family court and have a minors counsel set in..do not i repeat for your kids own good..refuse to get this man...he does not do his job right..he will not listen to all the evidence and will not listen to your concerns. Hes more concerned with money and his bias opininon not doing justice." This review expresses serious allegations regarding the attorney's performance in family court cases, especially those involving minors counsel. The reviewer claims a failure to adequately perform his job, a lack of attention to evidence and client concerns, and an alleged prioritization of financial gain and personal bias over justice.

Based on these two available reviews, several potential considerations arise for individuals contemplating engaging Matthew Shahon Law Offices:

  • Potential for Warm Personal Demeanor: One reviewer notes a positive personal quality, describing the attorney as a "warm person."
  • Concerns Regarding Case Management: One review explicitly mentions "many balls dropped" and the need to switch lawyers due to perceived mishandling of the case.
  • Issues in Family Court, Particularly with Minors Counsel: The second review strongly advises against hiring this attorney in family court cases involving minors counsel, alleging inadequate representation, failure to consider evidence and client concerns, and prioritizing financial interests and bias.
  • Initial Consultation Fee: One reviewer cautions against the $200 initial consultation fee, especially for complex cases like divorce.

Given the nature of the negative feedback, particularly concerning family court matters and the handling of evidence and client concerns, individuals involved in such cases should exercise significant caution and carefully consider these reviews alongside any other information they may gather.

Without specific details about the environment of the law office at 13019 Bailey St # A in Whittier, it is reasonable to expect a standard professional setting where clients can discuss legal matters privately. Law offices typically include consultation rooms and administrative areas to facilitate legal work. However, the client feedback does not provide any insights into the office environment itself.

The provided information does not specify the areas of law in which Matthew Shahon Law Offices specializes. However, one of the reviews explicitly mentions "divorce cases" and "family court," suggesting that family law is at least one area of practice. Given the strong negative feedback related to family court, particularly cases involving minors counsel, local users seeking assistance in these specific areas should be particularly discerning.

To gain a comprehensive understanding of the services offered by Matthew Shahon Law Offices, it would be prudent to contact them directly. However, potential clients should be prepared to discuss the concerns raised in the available reviews and inquire about the firm's approach to case management, client communication, and handling complex family law matters, especially those involving minors.

In terms of features, the local presence of the office in Whittier offers accessibility for residents in the area. However, based on the available reviews, potential clients may need to weigh this local convenience against the reported negative experiences of past clients.

Due to the critical nature of the available client feedback, it is difficult to identify clear promotional aspects based solely on this information. The reviews serve more as cautionary tales for potential clients, particularly those involved in family law cases.

Choosing a local attorney can offer benefits such as convenience and familiarity with the local legal landscape. However, the negative experiences shared by past clients should be carefully considered as part of the decision-making process. It is essential for individuals seeking legal representation to prioritize competence, diligence, and effective communication.

In conclusion, Matthew Shahon Law Offices is located in Whittier, California, and appears to handle family law cases, among other potential areas. However, the available client reviews raise significant concerns regarding case management, particularly in complex family court matters and those involving minors counsel. Potential clients should carefully consider this feedback and conduct thorough due diligence, including directly discussing these concerns with the firm, before making a decision about legal representation. While local presence can be an advantage, the quality of legal service and the attorney-client relationship are paramount.

Couldn't complete a sentence when trying to HIRE him. If you can't listen to a potential client how do you expect to win their case? Fired before hired.
