One of the key features of Stephen T. Maples, as highlighted by one client review, is his direct and honest communication style. The client states that Mr. Maples will "talk to you until you understand and format it in ways that you just get it." This suggests an attorney who prioritizes clear and effective communication with his clients, ensuring they comprehend the legal processes and their options. The same client also mentions Mr. Maples' accessibility, noting that he is "the only attorney that I can call that works as many hours as I do," indicating a strong dedication to his clients and their needs, potentially including availability outside of typical business hours.
Furthermore, this client expresses a high degree of trust in Mr. Maples, stating, "I literally put my life in his hands and he shined brighter then the north star." This strong endorsement speaks to the positive outcome the client experienced and their confidence in Mr. Maples' legal abilities and dedication. The client also mentions that Mr. Maples "got the results he promised," which is a critical aspect of effective legal representation. The willingness to refer him to friends and the statement that he is the only attorney the client trusts in DeKalb County further underscore the positive experience.
However, it is important to consider the second client review, which presents a contrasting perspective. This review describes Mr. Maples as "an intelligent individual" but expresses concerns about his demeanor, stating that he "looks down on clients he is paid well to represent which results in a very passive demeanor in court." This client felt that Mr. Maples did not advocate strongly for potential benefits in their case, such as conditional discharge or drug court, and perceived a belief that "once an offender, always an offender." This review highlights a potential concern about Mr. Maples' approach to representation and his views on rehabilitation and advocacy for certain outcomes.
Given these contrasting reviews, it is crucial for potential clients to consider both perspectives when evaluating Stephen T. Maples. While one client praises his directness, accessibility, and effectiveness, another raises concerns about his demeanor and advocacy style. These differing experiences may reflect individual client needs and expectations, as well as the specific circumstances of their cases.
There is no specific promotional information available for Stephen T. Maples. However, the first review, with its strong positive endorsement and emphasis on results, could be seen as an implicit recommendation. The client's statement that Mr. Maples is "not the cheapest but you can tell he loves what he does and will do his best" suggests a focus on quality of service and dedication, rather than solely on affordability.

Mr. Maples is the most direct honest attorney I've ever used. He will talk to you until you understand and format it in ways that you just get it. I have used him twice and he's the only attorney that I can call that works as many hours as I do. I literally put my life in his hands and he shined brighter then the north star. Over the years I've grown to just call him every so often and fill him in on my life because he did his job. He got the results he promised. I dont hesitate to refer him to my knucklehead friends that haven't fully grown up yet. 10 out of 10 and i wouldn't trust anyone else in Dekalb. If your still reading this... just trust me. He's not the cheapest but you can tell he loves what he does and will do his best.
Mr. Stephen Maples is an intelligent individual, but he looks down on clients he is paid well to represent which results in a very passive demeanor in court. Public offenders show more passion and compassion in their chosen profession. Mr. Maples believes that once and offender, always an offender. As a result, he never asked for things that would have benefitted my future after serving time such as a conditional discharge in one case and drug court in another. I accept resonsibility for the decisions I made, and I have learned from my mistakes to include not consulting with and considering other attorneys.

When I tell you Mr maples knows his stuff he does.. he's represented me on 2 different charges and he's made me extremely happy. If you're sitting down you will hear his name over and over.. only attorney that will answer at all hour's of the night. Definitely get what you pay for when you use him. He had me out within like 2 weeks on bond

Stephen Maples doesn’t even deserve a one-star rating! He doesn’t get the job done! He concentrates on getting large amounts of money from his clients first! Once he has your money, he only tries to plead his cases out to a lesser charge! He skills are mediocre at best as a lawyer! He likes to make his clients feel as if everyone else around him are dumb or unable to comprehend what he believes to be clear instructions! He’s disrespectful, and is No longer fit to do his job properly! He’s very judgmental and believes that he’s the only intelligent person in the room! If you maybe need help with simple matters, he’s your guy; but if your case has any difficulty about it I encourage you to run; run as far as you can from Stephen Maples! He will only encourage you to plea out your case, but will tell you upfront that though you’re paying him upfront will cover everything to include going to trial! It’s a smoke screen! He will continually ask you for more money tho you’ve already given him $30k upfront! He will say you need a Forensic Specialist, a lie detector test and a whole host of things! And when you tell him no or that you can’t afford it; he’ll make sure you know and feel that the reason why he can’t win your case is because you the client tied his hands and left him with limited ways of winning the case! He has no creativity at all of winning cases! He’s old school, with old school ideas! His Lawyer skill sets are outdated! I fully recommend that if you want to be found innocent of a crime, to use anybody else to include a court-appointed-attorney, before using this guy! Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Mr. Lynch you're funny guy cause every negative comments I read on Mr. Maples is correct. I spoke Mr. Maples on a case that was handled by the public defender before he got the case 😲 I realize we just wasted a lot of money. the public defender was 200 percent better. I 've been and still in law enforcement for over 20 years, done many trials with attorneys. if you hire this guy good luck cause that's all you're have. and lots of prayers..
