Don't bother contacting for civil rights help. I called looking for a consolation on a wrongful arrest issue and wasn't even allowed to speak to an attorney in this area of practice. First off the website is completely misleading. It states that cases they handled are "Wrongful conviction, False arrest" etc. I contacted the firm and was directed to the operator. I then informed the operator I would a consolation with the civil rights attorney. She then asked me about what exactly and I gave her a quick break down (literally 10 sec) about my issue and was then told to hold on to see if the attorney would be interested. Wait what???? OK. She then returned quickly and said he would not take the case. How can a decision be made to not take a case based off a 10 sec synopsis from a third party? I then asked are there other attorneys that practice in this area and was told again he does not want the case and good luck. Yeah thanks for no help at all. The website states call for a free consultation with an attorney about your issue and what I received was a screened call by an operator to be turned down by them without receiving all information about my case. They should be call "Pick and Choose Associates"

Services Offered
Based on public information, including what appears to be stated on their website as reflected in client feedback, Leontire & Associates, PC, indicates that they handle critical areas of law that address significant injustices. While a comprehensive list of all their services isn't directly provided in the brief information, the customer review specifically mentions and critiques the firm's handling of inquiries related to "civil rights help," "Wrongful conviction," and "False arrest." This strongly suggests these are intended areas of practice or at least areas they present as part of their expertise.
-
Civil Rights Violations: This broad category typically includes issues where individuals' constitutional or statutory rights have been violated by government entities or officials. The client's specific inquiry about a "wrongful arrest issue" falls squarely within this domain, suggesting the firm positions itself to assist with such matters. This could encompass issues like excessive force, unlawful search and seizure, and other abuses of authority.
-
Wrongful Conviction: This refers to cases where individuals have been convicted of crimes they did not commit. Attorneys in this area work to overturn convictions, often through appeals, post-conviction relief, or new evidence, seeking exoneration for the wrongly accused.
-
False Arrest / False Imprisonment: These claims arise when an individual is unlawfully detained or arrested without probable cause or proper legal authority. Lawyers in this area help victims seek damages for the violation of their rights and the resulting harm.
-
Other Potential Areas of Civil Litigation: While not explicitly stated, firms handling civil rights and false arrest cases often also engage in broader civil litigation, which could include personal injury, police misconduct, or other claims where an individual has suffered harm due to another party's unlawful actions. (Note: This is an inference based on related practice areas, not directly from provided text.)
Features / Highlights
Based on the provided information, including the customer review, the intended features and highlights of Leontire & Associates, PC, seem to revolve around addressing serious legal injustices, particularly in the realm of civil rights and wrongful arrests. However, the client feedback also critically highlights aspects of their client intake process.
-
Focus on Significant Civil Rights Issues: The firm's stated focus on "Wrongful conviction, False arrest," and generally offering "civil rights help" (as indicated on their website) suggests a commitment to addressing critical legal areas that impact fundamental individual liberties. This positions them as a firm that aims to fight for justice against state overreach or misconduct.
-
High-Stakes Legal Practice: Cases involving wrongful conviction and false arrest are inherently high-stakes, requiring deep legal expertise, rigorous investigation, and persistent advocacy. A firm that undertakes such cases would typically possess these qualities.
-
Boston-Based Legal Presence: Operating from a central Boston location (6 Beacon St #510) places them conveniently for access to Massachusetts' major courts and legal resources, which is a practical benefit for clients across the Commonwealth.
-
Website Indication of Free Consultation: The client notes that "The website states call for a free consultation with an attorney about your issue." This suggests an advertised commitment to providing accessible initial legal advice without charge.
It is important to note the critical feedback regarding the firm's intake process. The client's experience of a "screened call by an operator to be turned down by them without receiving all information about my case" is a highlight that potential clients should be aware of. While law firms often screen cases to ensure they align with their expertise and capacity, the manner in which this screening occurs, particularly when advertised as a "free consultation with an attorney," can significantly impact a prospective client's experience. This aspect suggests that while the firm may aim to handle specific, impactful cases, their initial client engagement process might not always align with expectations of a direct attorney consultation for initial inquiries.
Promotions or Special Offers
In the legal profession, particularly for specialized areas like civil rights and complex litigation, firms do not typically offer "promotions" or time-limited "special offers" in the retail sense. However, a common practice is to offer initial consultations to prospective clients. The provided client review for Leontire & Associates, PC, explicitly mentions that "The website states call for a free consultation with an attorney about your issue."
This indicates that the firm likely advertises or intends to offer free consultations to individuals seeking legal advice in their stated areas of practice, such as civil rights issues, wrongful conviction, and false arrest. The purpose of such a consultation is typically to allow potential clients to discuss the specifics of their case with an attorney, receive preliminary legal advice, and determine if the firm is the right fit for their needs, without any upfront financial commitment.
However, it is crucial for prospective clients to be aware of the feedback regarding the consultation process, where the client experienced a call being screened by an operator who then conveyed a decision from an attorney without the client speaking directly to legal counsel. While the firm's intention may be to offer free consultations, the actual process might involve an initial screening by support staff. Therefore, when contacting Leontire & Associates, PC, it would be advisable to clarify the exact nature of the "free consultation" and whether it guarantees direct access to an attorney for your initial inquiry.
We strongly recommend contacting Leontire & Associates, PC, directly via phone to inquire about their current policies regarding initial consultations and to understand the specific process for discussing your legal matter. This direct communication will help manage expectations and ensure you receive the most accurate and up-to-date information tailored to your specific inquiry.
