Law Offices of Steven J. Abelson Esq. Introduce

Welcome to the local profile of the Law Offices of Steven J. Abelson Esq., a legal practice serving the Iselin, New Jersey community and surrounding areas. Located in a professional building at 33 Wood Ave Suite 600, Iselin, NJ 08830, this law office is listed within the 'Nearby Lawyers' category, indicating its aim to provide accessible legal services to local residents and businesses. However, the sole available client review provides a critical perspective on the firm's handling of a specific case, which potential clients should carefully consider.

The single review available pertains to a case from 2022 where the client sought assistance from Steven J. Abelson Esq. regarding a company that had allegedly taken deposits from over 100 individuals before filing for bankruptcy. The client explained that the total amount of deposits misappropriated by the company was significant, totaling $960,000. The client hired Mr. Abelson, presumably to explore legal avenues for recovering their deposit. They state that Mr. Abelson indicated he would be able to help. The understanding, according to the client, was that they were supposed to receive some payments back within five years. However, the client reports that they have not received any payments. Upon reaching out to Mr. Abelson multiple times and eventually making contact, the client was informed that there were no funds available because the company had filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy – a fact the client states they were aware of at the time of hiring Mr. Abelson, which was the very reason they sought legal assistance.

The client expresses significant confusion and dissatisfaction with this outcome. They highlight the seemingly contradictory situation where the company, despite filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy after allegedly stealing a substantial amount of money, is reportedly still open and operating. The client's disappointment stems from the lack of any recovery of their funds and the implication that the legal representation did not yield a satisfactory result, especially given their understanding of the situation and their reason for seeking legal help. The review concludes with the client expressing their unhappiness with the overall outcome of their case.

Based on this single review, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive description of the typical environment of the Law Offices of Steven J. Abelson Esq. However, the client's experience suggests potential issues with managing expectations, explaining the complexities of bankruptcy law in relation to asset recovery, or pursuing alternative legal strategies beyond the bankruptcy proceedings themselves, if such options existed. The client's confusion regarding the continued operation of the allegedly bankrupt company also points to a possible lack of clarity in the legal advice or the explanation of the limitations imposed by a Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing in such a scenario.

The services offered by the Law Offices of Steven J. Abelson Esq., as indicated by the review, include handling cases related to bankruptcy and potentially business law or consumer rights, given the context of the company's alleged actions. However, the outcome reported by this client raises questions about the effectiveness of the representation in this specific instance. Potential clients involved in similar situations, such as dealing with companies that have filed for bankruptcy after engaging in questionable financial practices, should carefully consider this feedback and inquire in detail about the firm's approach to such complex cases, including the likelihood of asset recovery and potential alternative legal strategies.

The review does not provide information about any specific features of the Law Offices of Steven J. Abelson Esq., such as a particular communication style or client management process. The client's disappointment seems to stem primarily from the lack of a favorable outcome and the perceived disconnect between their understanding of the situation and the legal results achieved. This lack of positive feedback makes it difficult to identify any distinguishing features of the practice from this limited information.

There is no promotional information available for the Law Offices of Steven J. Abelson Esq. based on this single client review. In the absence of positive testimonials or specific service offerings, potential clients are advised to conduct thorough due diligence. If considering this firm for legal representation, especially in matters involving bankruptcy, business disputes, or consumer rights, it would be prudent to seek additional reviews or references, and to have a detailed consultation to discuss the firm's experience with similar cases, their proposed legal strategy, and the realistic potential outcomes.

In conclusion, the Law Offices of Steven J. Abelson Esq., located in Iselin, NJ, has received at least one review detailing a negative outcome in a bankruptcy-related case. The client expresses dissatisfaction with the lack of recovery of funds and confusion regarding the continued operation of the allegedly bankrupt entity. This feedback suggests that potential clients should exercise caution and thoroughly investigate the firm's track record and approach, particularly in complex cases involving bankruptcy and potential financial misconduct. Given the limited and negative information available, local users seeking legal representation in Iselin should consider this feedback seriously and conduct comprehensive research before engaging the services of the Law Offices of Steven J. Abelson Esq.

Not happy back in 2022 he took a case I paid him for his service. I explained that the company was filing a bankruptcy case after taking deposits from over 100 people. The company wound up stealing $960,000 in deposits. He said he would be able to help me. I was supposed to get some payments back in 5 years never received anything. I reached out to him several times and I got a hold of him and he said there is no money they filed bankruptcy chapter 7 which I knew all along and that’s why I hired him to help. Which is absolutely crazy cause the business is still open and operating after they stole these deposits from all these people. i’m just so confused about all of us. It’s crazy. Not happy with the outcome
