Reviews

  • Not even gonna post details as that would help improve their shady service. Just go with a different law firm and don’t believe their advertising schemes. Added after owner responded: Actually I stopped talking to that attorney after they did a similarly bad job as this firm, continued gathering evidence and making police reports on my own. I’m not upset, y’all haven’t had importance in my life for quite some time now, just letting people know so they don’t waste their time. Somehow you always have time to defend your firm but not your clients’ interest and even billed me for exchanging emails with you about your firms performance claiming those emails were about my case.
  • I wish I could give ZERO stars. My experience with this law firm was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment the retainer was paid, I felt like I was throwing my money into a black hole. Communication nonexistent; I'd send emails and leave messages only to be met with silence for days-or even weeks. Once ahold of his office, Angie, in particular, was supposed to be my point of contact, but she sat on my case and did nothing. Important deadlines were and my case suffered because of it. It was clear that my concerns were not taken seriously. If you're looking for an attorney who will actually advocate for you and provide the support you need, LOOK ELSEWHERE! Save your time and money- this attorney and their paralegal are all about TAKING YOUR CASH WITHOUT DELIVERING ANY REAL SERVICE. I deeply regret choosing this law firm and advise anyone considering their services to THINK TWICE. Since I cannot respond to your response… the money you took made me a client indeed. It’s impressive how you’ve managed to rack up 19 one and two-star reviews—quite the collection! Funny how you have time to critique but not to communicate with paying clients like me. Maybe if you spent less time on reviews and more on client care, we wouldn’t be having this conversation. Regardless, you’re
  • This law office took my money. I'm a single parent and I am low income and they took my money and I've been waiting over a year and a half to hear about my court case in which they claim that they filed. I know it doesn't take a year and a half to get a court date. But I hired these people in September of 2023 and it is now May 2025 and I hear nothing. Thankfully I kept all the emails.
  • Hands down the worst attorney I have ever dealt with for family law. He lied about meetings being set, lied about my case details and transferred, mislead the other attorney often and made agreements with no proof that the opposing counsel said did not exist. Pearcy made an agreement on a visitation schedule over a phone with opposing counsel and never put it in writing so now the opposing side refused to honor it. If you want to lose your kid, pay more child support, or overall have them divide your family hire Dylan Pearcy. He pocketed my entire fee and did no work to progress my case forward. It was so bad that I was forced to hire another attorney to undo all the things he did. Incompetence defines his practice. I am in the middle of filing grievances with the state bar so no one else has to go through what I did with him. Save your money, and your family, don’t use Dylan Pearce for anything. As you will see below. Pearcy will obscure himself from the facts. My case two months later is still undergoing ways to fix all the issues. Also, note how he says he won’t comment due to ethical reasons should tell you everything you need to know what kind of attorney he is. Just look at the pathetic nature of the response. Admits each case is difficult and did nothing to move it forward.
  • I am still in the middle of my custody case, but I wanted to give Mr. Pearcy a positive review now. I filed for custody last March, and my former attorney used up every penny I had without my ex and I going to court, having mediation, and we barely temporary orders set by the time I found Mr. Pearcy. My last attorney/law firm did not set an expectation for me, and as a matter of fact If I would’ve asked my attorney any specific details about the happenings of my case she would’ve had no idea. I don’t know if it was necessarily her, but definitely my former law firm. I have been with Mr. Pearcy since September and he has set the expectation and keeps me up with my case status. If you were looking for an attorney that is there for you and has great communication then Mr. Pearcy is the attorney for you. Now I can’t give him all the credit because his paralegal, Jessica it’s just as amazing. I will write a final review when my case is settled to give a final recommendation. Thank you, Mr. Pearcy and Jessica for all your doing to assist me.

About Law Offices of S. Dylan Pearcy

Navigating the legal system can be one of the most significant challenges an individual or business faces. Whether you're dealing with a personal dispute, a contractual issue, or any other legal matter, the choice of legal representation is paramount. For residents of San Antonio, Texas, understanding what constitutes effective and trustworthy legal service is crucial, as the wrong choice can lead to prolonged stress, financial loss, and unsatisfactory outcomes.

When searching for a lawyer, Texans often prioritize experience, legal knowledge, and a strong track record. However, equally important, and sometimes overlooked, are factors such as transparent communication, diligent case management, and a genuine commitment to client interests. A law firm should not only possess the legal acumen to handle your case but also the professional integrity to ensure you are informed, respected, and actively represented throughout the entire process.

The legal profession, by its very nature, relies heavily on trust. Clients confide in their attorneys with sensitive information and rely on their advice to make critical decisions. This trust is built on consistent communication, clear explanations of legal strategies, and a proactive approach to managing deadlines and case progression. Without these fundamental elements, the client-attorney relationship can falter, potentially jeopardizing the outcome of the legal matter.

For local users in San Antonio, the availability of numerous legal professionals means that individuals have options, but also the responsibility to conduct thorough due diligence. This includes researching a firm's reputation, reading client feedback, and understanding their operational practices. The goal is to find an attorney who will truly advocate for you, dedicate the necessary time and resources to your case, and communicate effectively, ensuring you feel confident and supported during what is often a stressful period.

This article aims to provide a framework for evaluating legal services, emphasizing the critical importance of communication, client care, and a firm's commitment to delivering tangible service, rather than just collecting fees. For any Texan considering legal assistance, these insights can help in making a more informed decision and finding a legal partner who genuinely prioritizes their clients' interests.

Location and Accessibility

The Law Offices of S. Dylan Pearcy are located in a central part of San Antonio, Texas, offering a potentially convenient location for clients seeking legal assistance. The address provided is 503 Avenue A Suite 1119, San Antonio, TX 78215, USA. This places the firm within the downtown area, a hub that is generally well-connected and recognizable within the city.

Avenue A is situated in the heart of San Antonio, close to major landmarks and business districts. The 78215 zip code covers areas that are typically central or near the downtown core, which implies good accessibility via various modes of transportation. For residents within San Antonio, this location could be easily reached by car, with potential access to nearby parking facilities, though parking in downtown areas can sometimes be challenging or require payment.

Public transportation options, such as VIA Metropolitan Transit bus routes, are generally robust in downtown San Antonio, providing an alternative for clients who prefer not to drive. The specific suite number, 1119, indicates that the office is part of a larger building, which often suggests a professional office environment.

While the central location aims to be convenient for many, potential clients should always consider their individual travel preferences and research specific parking or transit options before planning a visit. The geographical accessibility is one factor in choosing legal representation, contributing to the overall convenience of interacting with the firm. However, as further discussed in other sections, convenience alone is not the sole determinant of a firm's suitability.

Services Offered

The provided information, particularly the extensive customer reviews for the Law Offices of S. Dylan Pearcy, does not explicitly state the specific "Services Offered" by the firm. The reviews focus heavily on issues related to client communication, perceived lack of service delivery, and financial concerns, rather than detailing the types of cases the firm handles. Phrases such as "I thought I need legal assistance," "my case suffered," and "delivering any real service" suggest a broad expectation of legal representation without pinpointing a particular area of law.

In the absence of concrete information, typical law firms in Texas might offer services in various areas. However, based on the nature of client complaints often associated with litigation (where "important deadlines" are crucial), some potential areas of practice could include:

  • Civil Litigation: This broad category covers legal disputes between individuals or organizations, such as contract disagreements, property disputes, and other non-criminal legal actions. Firms involved in litigation require diligent case management and adherence to deadlines.
  • Family Law: Often involves emotionally charged cases like divorce, child custody, and child support, which require sensitive handling and consistent communication. The severity of the complaints regarding communication might arise in such high-stakes personal matters.
  • Personal Injury: Cases where individuals seek compensation for injuries suffered due to the negligence of others. These cases often involve ongoing communication with clients, evidence gathering, and strict adherence to statutory deadlines.
  • General Legal Consultations: Some firms offer general advice to help clients determine if they have a legal case or need specific legal assistance, a service that would necessitate strong initial communication.

Without specific information from the firm, prospective clients in San Antonio seeking legal assistance would need to directly contact the Law Offices of S. Dylan Pearcy to inquire about their specific areas of practice. Given the nature of the provided reviews, it would be prudent for individuals to also thoroughly discuss the firm's client communication protocols, case management strategies, and expected timelines during any initial inquiry, regardless of the area of law they specialize in.

Features / Highlights

The provided reviews for the Law Offices of S. Dylan Pearcy unfortunately highlight a consistent pattern of negative feedback regarding several critical aspects of legal service. Instead of typical "features" that promote a business, these reviews point to significant areas of concern that potential clients in San Antonio, Texas, should be aware of. Therefore, the "highlights" in this context are a warning to consider these points seriously when evaluating the firm:

  • Allegations of Non-existent Communication: Multiple reviews heavily emphasize a severe lack of communication. Clients report sending emails and leaving messages that were "met with silence for days - or even weeks." This directly contradicts the fundamental expectation that an attorney will keep their clients informed about their case's progress.
  • Concerns about Diligence and Case Management: There are explicit claims that the firm and its paralegal ("Angie, in particular") "sat on my case and did nothing." More critically, it's alleged that "Important deadlines were and my case suffered because of it." For any legal matter, missing deadlines can have irreversible and detrimental consequences for a client's case.
  • Issues with Service Delivery vs. Fees: Clients express strong sentiments that they were "throwing my money into a black hole" and that the firm is "all about TAKING YOUR CASH WITHOUT DELIVERING ANY REAL SERVICE." There's a direct accusation of being "billed me for exchanging emails with you about your firms performance claiming those emails were about my case," which raises significant ethical concerns about billing practices.
  • Lack of Client Advocacy: Reviewers explicitly advise others to "LOOK ELSEWHERE! Save your time and money- this attorney and their paralegal are all about TAKING YOUR CASH WITHOUT DELIVERING ANY REAL SERVICE." This suggests a perceived failure to genuinely advocate for the client's interests, leading to deep regret and a sense of abandonment.
  • Defensive Responses vs. Client Care (Owner's Perspective): The owner's responses to reviews, where a client notes, "Somehow you always have time to defend your firm but not your clients’ interest and even billed me for exchanging emails with you about your firms performance claiming those emails were about my case," highlight a perceived disconnect. The client also notes the "impressive how you’ve managed to rack up 19 one and two-star reviews," suggesting a pattern of dissatisfaction.
  • Overall Dissatisfaction and Warning to Others: The overarching sentiment is one of extreme dissatisfaction and a strong recommendation for others to "go with a different law firm" and "THINK TWICE" before engaging their services.

These "highlights" serve as critical red flags for anyone in San Antonio considering legal services from the Law Offices of S. Dylan Pearcy, emphasizing the importance of thorough vetting and prioritizing firms with a strong, consistently positive reputation for communication, diligence, and client advocacy.

Promotions or Special Offers

In the legal services industry, traditional "promotions" or "special offers" (like discounts or sales) are not common, primarily due to the ethical guidelines that regulate attorney advertising and fee structures. Law firms are generally prohibited from engaging in practices that could be seen as improperly soliciting business or undermining the professionalism of the legal field through commercial inducements.

For the Law Offices of S. Dylan Pearcy, the provided customer reviews do not mention any specific promotions, discounts, or special offers on legal services. Instead, the feedback is overwhelmingly critical, focusing on issues related to service delivery and billing practices rather than financial incentives. Phrases like "the money you took made me a client indeed" and accusations of "TAKING YOUR CASH WITHOUT DELIVERING ANY REAL SERVICE" suggest that clients perceive their financial contributions as not yielding the expected legal outcomes or services.

In a typical scenario, reputable law firms in San Antonio, Texas, often make their services accessible through other means, such as:

  • Free or Low-Cost Initial Consultations: These allow potential clients to discuss their case with an attorney and understand their options without a significant upfront financial commitment.
  • Transparent Fee Structures: Clearly outlining hourly rates, flat fees for specific services, or contingency fee arrangements (where applicable, such as in personal injury cases), ensuring clients understand the costs involved.
  • Payment Plans: Offering flexible payment arrangements to help clients manage the financial burden of legal fees over time.

Given the nature of the provided reviews, any discussion about "offers" for the Law Offices of S. Dylan Pearcy would unfortunately lean towards a cautionary note regarding the perceived value for money and the delivery of promised services. Prospective clients in San Antonio are strongly advised to prioritize a firm's reputation for ethical billing, clear communication, and diligent service, over any potential, unstated "promotions," and to carefully review retainer agreements and fee structures before committing to any legal services.

Contact Information

For individuals in San Antonio, Texas, seeking to contact the Law Offices of S. Dylan Pearcy, the following contact details have been provided:

  • Address: 503 Avenue A Suite 1119, San Antonio, TX 78215, USA
  • Phone: (210) 953-7486
  • Mobile Phone: +1 210-953-7486

These contact methods offer ways for prospective clients to reach the firm. The physical address places the office in a central location in San Antonio, specifically within a suite (1119) at 503 Avenue A. This indicates a professional office setting that could be visited for in-person consultations.

The provision of both a standard phone number and a mobile phone number suggests multiple avenues for communication. In legal practice, accessible phone lines are crucial for clients to make inquiries, schedule appointments, and receive updates on their cases. For Texans, having local contact numbers can be a convenience when seeking legal assistance.

However, given the extremely critical nature of the provided customer reviews, which heavily emphasize "nonexistent" communication and a lack of responsiveness ("I'd send emails and leave messages only to be met with silence for days-or even weeks"), potential clients are strongly advised to manage their expectations regarding the responsiveness of these contact methods. While the numbers are provided, the effectiveness of communication through these channels is a significant concern raised by past clients.

If considering contacting this firm, it would be prudent for individuals to clearly articulate their expectations regarding communication and responsiveness during any initial contact. Furthermore, it is always recommended to verify the current standing of any attorney with the State Bar of Texas to ensure they are actively licensed and in good standing.

Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals

When assessing the suitability of a legal firm for locals in San Antonio, Texas, core factors include reliability, effective communication, and genuine client advocacy. Based on the provided customer reviews, the Law Offices of S. Dylan Pearcy appear to fall significantly short in these critical areas, making its suitability for locals highly questionable.

The overwhelming and consistent negative feedback from multiple clients paints a picture of a firm where communication is "nonexistent," clients feel their money is "throwing... into a black hole," and there's a perceived lack of "delivering any real service." Allegations of "important deadlines" being missed, cases suffering, and even being "billed... for exchanging emails... about your firms performance claiming those emails were about my case," are grave concerns. These issues directly undermine the trust and diligence that clients in San Antonio expect and deserve from their legal representation.

For Texans seeking legal assistance, the purpose of hiring a lawyer is to gain an advocate who will prioritize their interests, manage their case diligently, and keep them informed. The reviews strongly suggest that these fundamental client expectations are not being met by the Law Offices of S. Dylan Pearcy. The client's advice to "LOOK ELSEWHERE! Save your time and money" and to "THINK TWICE" before engaging their services is a stark warning directly from the local user perspective.

While the firm's address at 503 Avenue A Suite 1119, San Antonio, TX 78215, and phone numbers ((210) 953-7486, +1 210-953-7486) offer physical and communicative access, these practical aspects are overshadowed by the reported deficiencies in service quality and client care. A central location is of little value if the firm fails to engage effectively with its clients or progress their cases.

In conclusion, based on the highly critical and consistent client feedback, the Law Offices of S. Dylan Pearcy does not appear suitable for locals in San Antonio seeking reliable, communicative, and diligent legal representation. Prospective clients are strongly advised to heed the warnings from past clients and prioritize firms with a demonstrably positive reputation for client service and ethical practice when choosing an attorney in Texas.
