For individuals in the Stanton area who may be searching within the 'Nearby Lawyers' category and encountering this law office in relation to debt collection, particularly concerning vehicle towing, it is important to consider the information available from online reviews. The Law Offices of Marc D. Wasserman can be reached by phone at (855) 927-7529 or via their mobile number, +1 855-927-7529.

Based on the available online reviews, the experiences of individuals dealing with the Law Offices of Marc D. Wasserman appear to be centered around debt collection related to vehicle towing, often involving AAA Credit Service Collection Agency and A&A Towing. One perspective presented in the reviews suggests that negative feedback originates from individuals who were debtors whose vehicles were towed. This viewpoint posits that these individuals may have sold or transferred their vehicles without properly completing the necessary documentation with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), specifically referencing a "5 in 5" process for transferring ownership. According to this perspective, failure to adhere to these DMV regulations could result in continued liability for the vehicle even after sale or transfer.

However, other reviews present a different perspective, alleging unethical debt collection practices involving the Law Offices of Marc Wasserman, particularly through a representative identified as Kim Williams. One reviewer recounts an experience where their right to represent their sister in communication with the law office was questioned, despite the consumer's right to choose any authorized representative under relevant laws. This individual interpreted this tactic as an attempt to intimidate and discourage the gathering of necessary information. This review suggests a concern regarding the professionalism and transparency of the office's communication.

For individuals dealing with the Law Offices of Marc Wasserman concerning debt, the reviews emphasize the importance of understanding consumer rights under both the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and California’s Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. These rights include the ability to designate a representative, regardless of whether that representative is an attorney. Consumers are advised to demand clear, written documentation for any claimed debt or associated charges. Furthermore, if misleading or deceptive practices are suspected, the reviews suggest reporting these issues to the California State Bar.

The sentiment expressed in some reviews is that the law office may be more focused on enforcing what are described as "dubious charges" rather than adhering to fair legal processes. These reviewers claim a lack of clear, written responses from the office, alleging a reliance on vague phone messages and intimidation tactics. This paints a picture of communication that some consumers have found unsatisfactory and potentially concerning.

Given these perspectives, it is crucial for local users considering engaging with the Law Offices of Marc D. Wasserman in the context of debt collection related to vehicle towing to be aware of these reported experiences. While the law office is a legal entity providing services that may be necessary in certain situations, the feedback suggests potential areas of concern regarding communication practices and the handling of consumer rights. The environment of the law office itself is not described in the reviews, so no objective assessment can be made regarding its physical premises or client interaction spaces.

In terms of services, based on the reviews, the primary service appears to be debt collection, specifically related to financial obligations arising from vehicle towing and potentially associated with AAA Credit Service Collection Agency and A&A Towing. The features highlighted by the reviewers, albeit often negatively, include a perceived aggressive approach to debt collection, a questioning of a consumer's right to representation, and a lack of clear written communication. These are presented as potential characteristics that individuals dealing with this law office may encounter.

The provided information does not contain any explicitly stated promotional information for the Law Offices of Marc D. Wasserman. Law firms typically promote their expertise, success rates, or client-focused approaches. However, in this case, the prevailing theme in the available reviews revolves around concerns regarding debt collection practices rather than positive promotional aspects. Therefore, local users will need to form their own conclusions based on the information presented and any direct interactions they may have with the office.

In conclusion, for individuals in Stanton, CA, searching for 'Nearby Lawyers' and encountering the Law Offices of Marc D. Wasserman, the available online reviews predominantly focus on experiences related to debt collection for vehicle towing. Some reviews allege questionable practices, including challenges to a consumer's right to representation and a lack of transparent communication. Consumers dealing with this law office are strongly advised to know their rights under the FDCPA and Rosenthal Act, demand written documentation of any debt, and report any suspected misleading or deceptive practices to the relevant consumer protection agencies and the California State Bar. While one perspective suggests that the issues stem from debtors not properly transferring vehicle ownership, other accounts raise concerns about the law office's debt collection methods. Local users should consider these perspectives carefully when deciding whether to engage with the Law Offices of Marc D. Wasserman.

All of these negative reviews are from disgruntled debtors who had their cars towed. They may have sold or transferred the car to someone else, but they failed to properly file with the DMV (known as 5 in 5, 5 things you must do to transfer ownership), when this isn't done properly you are still liable for the vehicle even if you sold or transferred it.

The Law Offices of Marc Wasserman, particularly through their representative Kim Williams, seems to support AAA Credit Service Collection Agency and A&A Towing in an unethical debt collection process. Instead of professionally handling requests for information, Kim Williams questioned my right to represent my sister (even though consumers can choose any authorized representative, not necessarily an attorney). This tactic appeared intended to intimidate and deter us from gathering necessary information. If you’re dealing with the Law Offices of Marc Wasserman regarding a debt: • Know your rights: Under both the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and California’s Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, consumers have the right to designate their own representative, whether or not that person is an attorney. • Demand clear, written documentation for any claimed debt or charges. • Report any issues with this office to the California State Bar if they use misleading or deceptive practices. This law office seems more interested in enforcing dubious charges than following fair legal processes. They do not provide clear, written responses and instead rely on vague phone messages and intimidation. General Advice to Consumers If you encounter any of these businesses – A&A Towing, AAA Credit Service Collection Agency, or the Law Offices of Marc Wasserman – take these steps: 1. Immediately demand written documentation of the debt, including itemized charges, the sale price of any vehicle, and proof of all notifications. 2. File complaints if they fail to comply or use aggressive or deceptive tactics. Suggested agencies for complaints: • Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB): Handles complaints related to debt collection practices. • Federal Trade Commission (FTC): For any misleading practices. • California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV): For issues with towing and lien sales. • California Attorney General’s Office: For consumer protection violations. • California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR): For complaints specific to towing companies. These entities seem to rely on consumer ignorance and intimidation, so protect yourself by being informed and persistent in requesting documentation and understanding your rights.

These guys call you and use profanity to intimidate you into paying them money. A lady named Kim was super unprofessional and unethical and does not provide any details to support what she says.

I've been getting harassed by this Marc D. Wasserman, the AAA credit services, and the towing company for the past 6 months on a car that has never been in my name. It "racked up" costs while staying at the towing company lot and wanted me to pay for this mess. I ended up calling DMV investigation and had them verify the information and there was no transaction in the system that connected my name to the vehicle. At that moment, I knew it was a scam and didn't bother with the late payment statement AND the threatening note. Then I just received this letter from Wasserman offices and it seems like I wasn't the only person they were targeting from their reviews. I hope people read my review and figure out that this is a SCAM. And I will report then to higher authorities because they are bullying the weak and manipulate people who are just trying to make an honest living.

These people are scammers beware, "representing" these corrupted collection companies who buy liens off of towing companies and try to collect payment from whoever shows is the registered owner of the vehicle at the time, they don't even do research or get their facts straight, just try to take advantage of people that will let them. That's why they don't even put their real contact information on their fake letters. Stop pretending you are a legit lawyer you lowlifes.
