Joe is a great lawyer. Reasonably priced. Always available to answer my questions. Walked me thru things step by step. Very up front with possibilities that could come up so there were no surprises. Would highly recommend.
I spoke to this lawyer for 5 minutes on the phone. Our brief interaction was enough for me to leave a one star review. Simply asking if he represents tenants. He states no just landlords, and I ask if he has anyone he can refer me to. I have called every lawyer on google at this point for help, and I was desperately in need of any assistance or direction. He then asks me to explain my situation briefly, which I did. My situation is my landlord refuses to pay for a utility which he says he is responsible for paying in my lease agreement, therefore not in compliance with my lease. The attorney then asks me if I have written the landlord by letter. I stated no, the landlord refuses to provide me with his name or an address to an office. He only gives me an email to management, which is ran by his representative. Clearly this landlord and management poorly run this apartment building, as they refuse to even give tenants a number to call directly for the management office. All I did was try to explain this to the attorney briefly and give him proper information he asked for, I did not even get ONE SENTENCE OUT and he immediately and disrespectfully states "Calm down, calm down! If you keep playing games with me, I am going to hang up." What kind of professional lawyer/law office is this? That is the way you speak to your clients/potential clients? I am "playing games with you" because I am respectfully and calmly stating the explanation to your question? I ended the phone call with disgust, as I cannot believe someone has the audacity to treat a respectful individual innocently seeking help like this. I am clearly asking for help because I am not previously educated on how to further proceed legally in this circumstance. My whole point is, if you did not have a referral, or cannot help me, that is no problem. But to speak to me with such disrespect and in such a degrading manner, is truly uncalled for. Especially after you asked me a question and to explain. I hope you treat others better, as I cannot believe this man has the audacity to treat someone this way.
