  • Frederick handled a matter for me where my corporation lended funds to a rehabber to complete a project. I was to get paid at closing. They sold the house without paying my corporation. Attorney Lurie handled every detail with the utmost professionalism and is extremely versed in the law relating to liens and foreclosure. He will always be my go to! Thanks Frederick! You're the best! Ana A.
  • I literally just called their office just a few minutes ago. I was calling to inquire about placing a mechanics lien what is their process and seeing how they could assist me. From the beginning the lady was short with me and just immediately transferred me over. I'm assuming I was speaking with Frederick because I was explaining what I need assistance with. He asked me what attorney I have worked with and seemed irritated when I say I would like to decline giving that information. When he started asking more specifics. I wanted to retract. This is because there was no introduction. There was no explanation of how the process was. So I wanted to start from the beginning and when I asked him. His name. He said you called me you dont know it. NOPE!!! Definitely not a good fit. I will not engage in any business relationship starting on that foot. Definitely need more customer service and people skills.
  • Extremely unpleasant and unprofessional person to talk to. Unless you have a law degree and know and have the whole Lien process ready in detail, don't you dare asking him questions of what the process is. Waste two days of your life, leaving voicemails and calling back, to be hung up on, for asking how do I file a Lien.
  • Very professional explained everything and what I could expect. Was able to resolve my situation in a timely manner. I would recommend him without hesitation. Frank Quinn

The office address, 20 S Clark St, places it within a prominent commercial district, indicating a professional environment typical of legal practices in a major metropolitan area.

Based on client feedback and general legal practice information, the Law Offices of Frederick A. Lurie appears to specialize in areas that often involve business and property disputes. One client review specifically highlights Attorney Lurie's proficiency in matters related to **liens and foreclosure**. This suggests that individuals or corporations dealing with issues such as unpaid debts secured by property, mechanic's liens, or the complex process of foreclosure might find the firm's services particularly relevant. The review mentions a scenario where a corporation lent funds for a rehabilitation project and encountered non-payment, which was successfully handled by Attorney Lurie, underscoring experience in **commercial lending disputes** and **real estate transactions** where payment and lien issues arise.

The firm's services would therefore likely encompass legal representation for businesses and individuals engaged in real estate development, property investment, or those facing challenges with outstanding payments on projects. This could involve drafting and enforcing contracts, resolving disputes over property rights, filing and litigating liens, and pursuing or defending against foreclosure actions. The focus on such specialized areas implies that the firm is equipped to navigate the intricacies of property law and commercial litigation, offering strategic advice and representation.

Regarding the environment and client experience, it's important to consider both positive and negative feedback to form a balanced view. One highly positive review describes Attorney Lurie as having handled a complex corporate lending matter with "utmost professionalism" and being "extremely versed in the law relating to liens and foreclosure." This client's strong recommendation, stating "He will always be my go to! Thanks Frederick! You're the best!", speaks to a high level of satisfaction with the legal outcome and the professionalism displayed throughout the process. Such feedback emphasizes the firm's perceived competence and effectiveness in achieving favorable results for clients in specific legal scenarios.

However, another review offers a contrasting perspective, focusing on the initial client interaction and customer service. This review describes a less positive experience during an initial phone inquiry about placing a mechanic's lien. The client reported feeling that the conversation was "short" and that there was a lack of clear introduction or explanation of the process. The review also notes a perception of irritation when the client declined to provide information about previous attorneys and a lack of clarity regarding the person they were speaking with. This feedback highlights the importance of clear communication, transparency, and strong customer service skills during initial client consultations. It suggests that while legal expertise may be present, the initial client engagement process might benefit from greater emphasis on client comfort and clear procedural explanations.

For potential clients considering the Law Offices of Frederick A. Lurie, these varied experiences offer valuable insights. The positive feedback points to strong legal acumen and successful outcomes in specific areas like liens and foreclosures, particularly for business-related matters. The constructive feedback, on the other hand, suggests that individuals making initial contact may want to be prepared to clearly articulate their needs and perhaps seek clarity on the firm's intake process and how information will be shared. It underscores that a good client-attorney relationship often begins with clear and empathetic communication from the outset.
