It is a privilege to make a recommendation for Alyssa Whatley, the tax consultant who quite literally changed the course of my financial life. I have practiced law for over 50 years, and in that time, I’ve worked with attorneys across a wide range of specialties—some brilliant, some forgettable. But Alyssa stands out in a league of her own. While I am a lawyer, I am not a tax lawyer! Before I found Alyssa, I had retained highly paid, supposedly well-qualified tax lawyers in two states, at $500+ per hour, to help me address a substantial, but unjust, IRS claim. Unfortunately, their advice was not only misguided but costly, leading to penalties that could—and should—have been avoided. Their errors left me discouraged and frustrated. • Amazing is nowhere near a strong enough word to describe my experience with Alyssa. Most everyone is terrified of the word “taxes” and especially when it comes from the IRS or State Departments of Revenue for small business owners, and personal income taxes. She not only helped take away my anxiety and fear but went a step further and wouldn’t get off of the phone until all efforts to assist me and my situation were resolved. I’ve never heard about an attorney that does that. She didn’t make me feel like I was a “client”. She’s extremely engaging, and I felt like we’d known each other for years. She’s very well known for her success rate with high income clients and companies. But she took the time to help a little fish like me in a big pond. Another attorney referred her to me and told me that she’s the one that will go up against the government with no fear in order to take care of her clients and people in general. She told me that integrity and kindness are paramount to her and that good people that have fallen on hard times are overlooked and penalized for lack of tax knowledge and have to pay more money they don’t have. • Alyssa is the best tax resolution attorney I have ever worked with - and I have worked with many! Alyssa is highly responsive, forthright and won’t gaslight you like many tax attorneys do (she understands it is not to her benefit to take advantage of her clients’ anxiety). Alyssa knows exactly what she is doing and does it incredibly well. She built confidence and trust with me in a very short time. I had a challenge that Alyssa resolved in record time with the IRS. • May I say that I approached half a dozen attorneys about my case including TurboTax - the other five said to pay what the IRS was asking for and settle with them. Alyssa was the only one who had the guts to verify what my case was and adviced to go to court.knowing well what historically has been the outcome. $$ well spent for me. I was lucky to find Alyssa. • I can’t recommend Alyssa and her team enough. I had a pretty complex tax situation pop up and could not get anywhere with the IRS. I called Alyssa and she immediately took my case and kept me informed the entire way. She was honest, communicative and kept my stress levels way down throughout the process. She even went out of her way to hire a CPA to get the right info in front of the IRS that we needed to. If you ever have a tax problem I would 10/10 always recommend calling Alyssa to handle it.
