Law Office of Patricia A. Rigdon Introduce
For individuals in Pasadena, California, and the surrounding areas seeking legal assistance in family law matters, the "Nearby Lawyers" platform provides a list of local attorneys. Among them is the Law Office of Patricia A. Rigdon, situated at 301 E Colorado Blvd #706, Pasadena, CA 91101, USA. The office can be contacted at (626) 405-0006 or +1 626-405-0006. To provide local users with an objective introduction to this legal practice, it is essential to consider the available online reviews, which present a starkly contrasting set of experiences.
The environment of the Law Office of Patricia A. Rigdon, located in a commercial building on East Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena, suggests a professional setting typical of legal practices. The suite number indicates a dedicated office space where client consultations and legal work are conducted. One review mentions that it is a "one person operation (one attorney)," which could imply a more direct and personal interaction with the attorney but also raises potential concerns about the capacity to handle complex cases and the availability of support staff. Potential clients might find the smaller size appealing for personalized attention or concerning regarding the resources available for their case.
The primary service offered by the Law Office of Patricia A. Rigdon, based on the context of the reviews, appears to be family law. This area of law encompasses a range of issues, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, and other domestic relations matters. One reviewer specifically identifies Ms. Rigdon as a "family law attorney." However, the contrasting experiences suggest variability in the quality and effectiveness of the services provided. One client described "extremely poor representation," alleging a lack of responsiveness, failure to handle crucial negotiations, and refusal to subpoena records, ultimately leading to the client hiring another attorney to win their case. This account raises serious concerns about the firm's ability to provide competent representation in all family law matters.
In contrast, another reviewer described Patricia Rigdon as a "god-send," praising her support and advocacy over a period of six years. This client highlighted her ability to provide calm and level-headed guidance during an emotional time, while also fighting hard for their interests in an upstanding manner. This positive testimonial emphasizes Ms. Rigdon's knowledge, supportiveness, and effectiveness in at least one complex and long-term family law case. The significant divergence between these two reviews suggests that client experiences may vary considerably.
Features of the Law Office of Patricia A. Rigdon, as perceived through the conflicting reviews, present a mixed picture. One client found her initially "aggressive enough" to be persuasive but ultimately ineffective, alleging a lack of competence. This suggests that her initial demeanor might create a certain impression that does not necessarily translate into effective legal action. The other reviewer, however, portrays her as knowledgeable, supportive, and a strong advocate who helped them achieve a successful outcome over an extended period. This indicates that Ms. Rigdon may possess the skills and dedication to effectively represent some clients in family law matters.
The promotional information derived from these reviews is contradictory and requires careful consideration. The positive review, with its strong praise and heartfelt gratitude, serves as a powerful endorsement. The client's willingness to share such a personal and positive experience speaks volumes about the impact Ms. Rigdon had on their case. However, the negative review, detailing allegations of poor representation and significant shortcomings in handling a family law case, acts as a strong cautionary note. The reviewer's experience of unanswered emails, dropped negotiations, and the need to hire another attorney to achieve a favorable outcome raises serious concerns for potential clients. Therefore, any promotional value from the positive review must be weighed against the significant red flags raised in the negative account.
In conclusion, for individuals in Pasadena seeking a "Nearby Lawyer" for family law matters, the Law Office of Patricia A. Rigdon, located on East Colorado Boulevard, presents a complex picture based on the available online reviews. While one client experienced "extremely poor representation" and detailed significant failings in the handling of their case, another client offered effusive praise for Ms. Rigdon's support, advocacy, and effectiveness over a six-year period. This stark contrast suggests that client experiences with this law office may vary considerably. Local users are strongly advised to carefully consider both perspectives and potentially seek additional information or references before making a decision about engaging the Law Office of Patricia A. Rigdon for their family law needs. The significant divergence in these two accounts underscores the importance of thorough due diligence when selecting legal representation.

I had hired Patricia in 2019. Extremely poor representation. She is a one person operation (one attorney). She took on my case and was not able to handle it. Emails went unanswered, dropped to ball on crucial negotiations, refused to subpoena records. The other party danced circles around her. And this is family law attorney??? The worst attorney I have ever hired. She appeared aggressive enough to persuade me to hand her $10,000. Little did I know. I demanded my money back and she quit. I hired a more competent and aggressive attorney and won my case.
Patricia was a god-send to me. Even writing this review I get heart palpitations thinking what I would have done the past six (yes SIX!) years without her. It has been such an emotional time and with Patricia's support and advocacy I came out on top. She kept me calm and level headed when my anger wanted me to explode, all while fighting hard for me in an upstanding fashion over and over again. I will always think back to this chapter of my life and know that I made it through successfully because of her abundance of knowledge and support. I can never thank her enough.
