The provided client reviews offer contrasting perspectives on the firm's services and client communication. It is important to consider both positive and negative feedback when evaluating a legal service provider.
One client review expresses a "terrible experience," detailing a situation where a family member contacted the firm and was offered an initial consultation for a fee, with potential payment contingent on a successful government hearing. The reviewer alleges a lack of responsiveness to multiple emails sent before the hearing and mentions difficulty in contacting Mr. Long throughout the summer of 2021, as well as a lack of response to a voicemail and subsequent email. This reviewer further claims that the firm did not adhere to California bar rules regarding prompt communication, particularly with prospective clients who had prior contact through family referrals. The reviewer states their intention to file a State bar complaint due to the perceived lack of timely communication, which they believe resulted in a delay in obtaining legal representation and a postponement of their hearing. This account raises significant concerns about the firm's communication practices and client engagement, at least in this specific instance.
Adding to these concerns, the same reviewer describes an "extremely disrespectful individual attorney long" who allegedly made the prospective client wait an extended period, leading them to believe they would never receive a response. This paints a picture of poor client interaction and a lack of professional courtesy, according to this particular experience.
Conversely, another client review offers a positive perspective, describing the attorney as "great," someone who "truly cares about his customers and very knowledgeable of the law." This starkly contrasting feedback suggests a potential inconsistency in client experiences or perhaps different interactions with different attorneys within the firm. It's possible that some clients have had positive and effective legal representation, while others have encountered significant communication and service issues.
As a user of our "Nearby Lawyers" platform, it is crucial to consider all available feedback when making a decision about legal representation. The conflicting reviews for Long & Vernon LLP (formerly the Law Office of Lee Vernon) highlight the importance of thorough communication and clear expectations from the outset. Potential clients should be prepared to discuss communication protocols, consultation fees, and the firm's approach to client engagement during their initial contact.
Given the serious allegations of poor communication and unprofessional conduct in one review, prospective clients may want to inquire specifically about the firm's current communication practices and client service standards. It would be prudent to discuss timelines for responses, the process for initial consultations, and the firm's policies regarding client updates and inquiries.
Regarding promotional information, there is no specific promotional content available for Long & Vernon LLP (formerly the Law Office of Lee Vernon) within the provided data. Terrible experience a family member had contacted them and they showed interest in doing an initial consultation for a fee and then possibly accepting a payment after a government hearing if successful- I emailed them several times before the hearing they didn't care to ever respond/appears one of the partners has gone missing during COVID-19-and many emails later I still got no response from Mr Long throughout the summer of 21-and I left him a voicemail again 10 days ago and then email this week and I never got a response by voicemail or email- This firm does not think they have to comply with California bar rules as far as prompt communications with even perspective clients especially clients that have been in contact before through their family and have been referred that way- I'm in the process of filing a State bar complaint about that because they have an obligation to be in touch with people within a reasonable amount of time so that time is not wasted I was unable to get a lawyer before my hearing because of these people and I had to postpone! All the information I had was that they had showed interest and they would do a consultation and family member had spent months trying to find somebody and had gone in contact with these people so I thought well they're just very busy just keep waiting! Very disrespectful individual attorney long/makes a person wait that long to figure out through a game of attrition that they will never hear from them!
Great attorney, he truly cares about his customers and very knowlageble of the law.
