It is very rare in life when expectations meet reality. After hearing about Larry's expertise in handling real estate transactions, I was finally given the opportunity to retain him and his firm to assist me in connection with my recent home purchase. From start to finish Larry delivered. This home sale had its share of unexpected issues - as I suppose most home purchases do - and Larry was able to handle each issue quickly and keep us moving forward to a timely closing. Larry was very easy to deal with and very responsive to every question I had (which as a fellow attorney there were many)... one final shout out goes to Gloria in Larry's office who was an amazing liaison to make sure the purchase stayed on track... If I could give ten stars, I would, but sadly, the Google max is five... 5 out of 5 stars for The Law Office of Lawrence M. Centanni, P.C.! Would highly recommend!
I selected Larry as my lawyer in an eviction case this summer, based on reviews. I was very happy with my decision. Larry gave me sound legal and common sense advice and I was able to evict the tenants for not paying rent, all in a relatively short period of time. I continue to ask questions via email and Larry has always replied back quickly without charging me for his time. I’ve used this law firm for my closing on my house & Mr. Centanni team was extremely helpful throughout the process. They were very efficient & knowledgeable with all aspects on closing a property. I had very un-professional and disappointing experience with Mr Centanni, P.C. in year 2023, When I called for assistance, the attorney immediately provided his email address in 2 mins without listening to my situation. He stated that we must provide a 90-day notice to the nonpaying tenant and mentioned that renting out a room in your house is illegal, which is not. When i pressed him are you sure? is it not 30 day notice first? and then you file in the court the eviction petition? Then he said " as far as i know, unless it has changed" , What ? He also referenced dates after 90 days you go to court, then i asked what is the process after that, he was unwilling and hiding information as what are the steps will happen before he is completely gone , then i said is 3 months after the 90 day notice, he said possibly , then he said you can go after him for nonpayment of rent and then i asked him how? for that he said you have hire another attorney and i said who would that be ? then i said can i go to small claims court? he again obfuscates and says maybe, then i ask him how do i collect the debt? he says hire a debt collector agency to give the notice letter he said $450, which why would anyone want to pay that too $450, whereas other charge $150 and plus you have to send it via certified email, he fails to inform that, then i ask him what the total cost he not clear about whether is the retainer or a flat fee of $2,100. This approach felt impersonal and dismissive and he seems have been working with ghetto people in Elizabeth and talk whatever comes to his mind.
