Based on the available customer reviews, the experience of working with the Law Office of David S. Morris appears to be varied. Some reviewers express disappointment with the level of action taken on their behalf and the thoroughness of case review. One reviewer noted a resistance to taking action and a focus primarily on offering opinions rather than active assistance. Another reviewer felt that the preparation for their consultation was inadequate, leading to missed details and inefficient use of time. This feedback suggests that potential clients may find the services geared towards providing legal analysis and advice rather than necessarily full representation in litigation or extensive negotiation.

However, it is important to consider all feedback. One customer shared a positive experience, highlighting the attorney's helpfulness and clear explanation of their situation. This review praised the advice provided, which ultimately led to a successful resolution with their landlord and a lease renewal. This contrasting experience suggests that the value derived from the consultation may depend on the specific nature of the tenant's issue and their expectations regarding the level of representation sought. The positive review emphasizes the attorney's ability to provide helpful guidance and strategic advice that can lead to positive outcomes for tenants willing and able to implement the advice themselves.

Given the mixed reviews, it is challenging to identify specific promotional information in the traditional sense. However, the Law Office of David S. Morris, Tenant Lawyer, offers the inherent benefit of specialization in landlord-tenant law within the 'Nearby Lawyers' category. Given the feedback regarding the approach to case management and representation, it may be particularly beneficial for potential clients to clearly articulate their needs and expectations during an initial consultation. For tenants seeking a preliminary analysis of their situation and strategic advice on how to proceed, the Law Office of David S. Morris may offer valuable insights. However, those requiring immediate or guaranteed litigation or extensive representational services may need to inquire specifically about the firm's capacity and approach to such matters.

In conclusion, the Law Office of David S. Morris, Tenant Lawyer, located in downtown Chicago, specializes in providing legal advice and potential assistance to tenants facing landlord-tenant issues. Understand going in David is not looking for cases and is resistant to taking action on behalf of a client. I'm giving 3 stars because he was generous with the time I paid for while being implicit in that he is not trying to help you, only give his opinion. Frankly, I was a little underwhelmed by how he came prepared. He did not perform a thorough review of evidence ahead of time and missed many important details. As others have stated he will not allow you to get a word in. David, if you would have listened to a 5-minute summary of the case we could have cut through 45 minutes of irrelevant info. Any additional evidence would have been provided in advance and your breakdown of the case would have been expedited and saved time on both our ends. In the end, I'm walking away disappointed and in the same position. If you're looking for a cursory analysis of your case to confirm the research you've already done, you'll get that. If you need representation for a case to be litigated or resolved through mediation or settlement good luck.

Oh Gosh! I don't understand all those negative reviews posted by other people. I contacted the attorney on April 26, 2024 regarding a situation with my landlord that I was worried about. I am a self employed freelancer and I work through my small consulting company. My job does not need an office as I do not meet with people but only work on my laptop and phone. This is why I decided to register my company at home in order to use the address because there was nowhere else to register it. I even didn't realize that technically this is a violation of my lease agreement because the lease agreement says that the premises should be used exclusively for residential so registering the company at this address and working from home was technically a violation of the lease. When the landlord found out about that during the lease renewal process, the typical me panicked that I will face eviction and I contacted the attorney for advise. He was super nice and helpful and he explained everything to me and gave me a great advise how to resolve the issue in advance in order not to be evicted if the landlord decides to move with eviction notice. I did exactly as the attorney advised so I am in the clear. My landlord renewed my lease for another year without any issues at all. Everything had a happy end. Hopefully I don't need a landlord-tenant attorney again but if I do I will definitely seek help from Mr. David Morris again.

This guy chose the wrong career field he has to be one of the rudest most disrespectful condescending so called Lawyers. You can’t even get a word in. And before you come and say you did not represent me no you didn’t. I would never recommend this person. If i could give 0 stars I would.

David is incredibly knowledgeable on Illinois real estate law and tenant rights. He also is very good about explaining each step of the process so there were never any surprises. While taking my side and standing up for my rights, David is also very good at working with opposing counsel to quickly resolve any issues in my case. My case was quickly resolved to my satisfaction. Hoping I don’t need David’s services again, but he would be my first call if the need ever arose.

David Morris was very friendly and easy to talk with during my consolation. I wanted some direction and clarification with my lease and how best to approach my problems with management. David was able to give me several possible solutions to my issue and he answered all my questions. After consulting with David, I feel more confident in the direction I need to take. Thanks!
