This suggests that their services are primarily focused on assisting individuals and families with legal matters related to these areas. These services can often include:

One of the provided customer reviews offers a strong positive endorsement of Mr. Eckman himself, describing him as "compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional." The reviewer specifically highlighted his expertise in estate planning for an elderly parent, noting that Mr. Eckman made the process "seamless" and instilled confidence through his decades of experience. This testimonial suggests a client-focused approach, deep understanding of the relevant legal areas, and a professional demeanor that puts clients at ease during potentially stressful times.
However, it is crucial to address the other review, which details a negative experience with an individual named Mr. Morris Selevan, who is mentioned as having his name on a business card associated with Benjamin Eckman. The reviewer recounts an interaction involving a consultation fee and quoted costs for a guardianship process and Medicaid application for their mother-in-law. The reviewer expressed concerns about the quoted fees and the overall handling of their situation, describing it as potentially "criminal and very unethical."
This negative review raises important questions about the individuals associated with the Law Firm of Benjamin Eckman and the firm's fee practices in certain types of cases. While the positive review speaks highly of Mr. Eckman, the negative review suggests a potentially different experience with another individual working under the firm's umbrella. It is important for potential clients to be aware of both perspectives when considering this law firm.
Given the contrasting reviews, it is advisable for local users considering the Law Firm of Benjamin Eckman to conduct thorough due diligence. When you contact the firm at (908) 206-1000 or +1 908-206-1000, it would be prudent to inquire about the roles of all attorneys and professionals associated with the firm who might be handling your case. Specifically, if your legal needs involve guardianship or Medicaid applications, it would be wise to discuss the fee structure and processes in detail to ensure transparency and understanding.
The positive review highlights Mr. Eckman's decades of experience, which can be a significant feature of the firm. Experience often translates to a deeper understanding of the law, established processes, and the ability to navigate complex legal situations effectively. The reviewer's comment about feeling "in good hands" suggests that Mr. Eckman's experience provides clients with a sense of security and trust.
In terms of promotional information, the positive review itself serves as a strong testimonial, recommending the Law Firm of Benjamin D. Eckman for estate planning and elder care needs. The emphasis on compassion, knowledge, and professionalism can be seen as key selling points. For local users facing the often-sensitive and complex issues related to estate planning for elderly parents or navigating elder care matters, these qualities can be particularly reassuring.
However, the negative review acts as a cautionary note. While it focuses on an interaction with Mr. Selevan, the association with the Law Firm of Benjamin Eckman warrants attention. Potential clients may want to inquire about the firm's policies regarding consultations, fee quotes, and the qualifications and oversight of all individuals representing the firm.
For local users in Union, NJ, seeking legal assistance in estate planning or elder care, the Law Firm of Benjamin Eckman is a local option. The positive feedback regarding Mr. Eckman's expertise and approach in these areas is encouraging. However, the negative experience reported with Mr. Selevan should prompt careful consideration and direct communication with the firm to clarify roles, processes, and fees. It is essential to ensure that you feel comfortable and confident with the legal representation you choose.
We recommend that you contact the Law Firm of Benjamin Eckman directly to discuss your specific legal needs. Ask about the attorneys and other professionals who might handle your case, their experience in the relevant area of law, and the firm's fee structure. A direct conversation will help you determine if their services and approach align with your expectations and provide the peace of mind you need during a potentially challenging time. Remember to consider all available information and conduct your own assessment to make an informed decision about your legal representation.

I really had an awful experience with one Mr. Morris Selevan. I don’t know his relationship to Benjamin Eckman, but he has his name on a business card. He also received $500 from myself and my husband for consultation fee in which he quoted to us that we would have to give them anywhere from six to $10,000 for him to start a guardianship process and additional $20,000 to complete the Medicaid application for my mother-in-law who has Dementia, Alzheimer’s aphasia she has chronic renal failure as she also has a pacemaker and is at Cranford rehabilitation center, I thought we were being shaken down and I thought we were being handled and taken advantage of on our most vulnerable time. I have been informed by several professional individuals in the legal fields that minimum fee is required upfront and any in all legal fees would be part of the Medicaid spend down from my mother-in-law is this state so I don’t understand why this man after we gave him $500 For 15 minutes of filling out paperwork that he needs another $10,000 to commence a guardianship procedure. This is criminal and very unethical run and go the other way if you see Morris Sullivan.
I highly recommend the law firm of Benjamin D. Eckman. I have never met a more compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional attorney. Estate planning for an elderly parent can be very stressful. Mr. Eckman made the process seamless. With decades of experience, he immediately makes you feel comfortable, and you know you are in good hands. For any estate planning, or elder care needs, you need to look no further than Mr. Eckman!
My family and I met with Benjamin earlier this year for estate planning assistance. Benjamin was thorough, took the time to explain his guidance and was responsive to our questions throughout the process. I am happy that we are working with Benjamin and know that my family is in trusted hands.
Ben was very quick to respond and always made time for our questions regarding our parents financial well being. We met in person and set up everything they needed. He explained how the laws work regarding elder care.
Benjamin is a true professional and extremely reliable. He responds quickly and doesn't hesitate to help you out with any questions or concerns. I highly recommend Mr. Beckman for Panning, Eldercare and Advice.
