The environment of a law office can often provide insights into its professional standing and client interactions. Situated on West Miner Street in West Chester, the Law Firm of Alexander Silow is located within a commercial area of the borough. The suite number suggests a professional office setting within a building that likely houses other businesses or services. While specific details about the office's ambiance or the suite itself are not provided, a location on Miner Street in West Chester likely offers accessibility for clients residing or working in the area. This accessibility can be an important factor for individuals seeking in-person legal consultations.
Based on the available customer reviews, the Law Firm of Alexander Silow appears to handle cases in at least two distinct areas of law: traffic violations and criminal defense, specifically drug-related charges. One positive review highlights the firm's success in a traffic case, where Alexander Silow was reportedly able to achieve "the best possible outcome" for the client, avoiding a significant license suspension. This suggests competence and effective advocacy in traffic law matters. The client also expressed satisfaction with the level of support and the resolution achieved relative to the cost of services, indicating a perceived value in the representation.
In contrast, another review presents a highly negative experience related to a criminal drug case. The former client describes an initially positive impression that quickly deteriorated after a substantial retainer fee was paid. Allegations include rude and arrogant behavior from the attorney, a failure to file motions, significant delays in obtaining necessary case documents, and a perception that the attorney was not advocating for the client's best interests. The reviewer strongly advises against hiring Alexander Silow for criminal matters, expressing the opinion that the attorney prioritized fees over effective representation.
The features of the Law Firm of Alexander Silow, as perceived through the limited reviews, present a mixed picture. On the one hand, the positive review in the traffic case highlights the attorney's ability to deliver favorable outcomes and provide satisfactory support at a reasonable cost. This suggests potential strengths in handling traffic-related legal issues, including negotiation and plea bargaining skills. The client's willingness to return for future legal needs and recommend the firm to others further underscores a positive experience in this specific area.
On the other hand, the negative review in the criminal drug case raises serious concerns about the attorney's professionalism, communication style, diligence, and commitment to client advocacy in that area of law. The allegations of rudeness, lack of action, and perceived disloyalty are significant red flags for potential clients facing criminal charges. The discrepancy between these two reviews suggests that client experiences may vary significantly depending on the type of case and potentially other factors not evident in the limited information.
Promotional information is somewhat implied in the positive review, which serves as a testimonial for the firm's effectiveness and value in traffic law cases. The client's satisfaction and willingness to recommend Alexander Silow can act as a positive endorsement for others facing similar traffic-related legal challenges. However, the strongly negative review serves as a significant counterpoint, cautioning potential clients, particularly those with criminal defense needs, to approach with extreme caution.
For local users in West Chester accessing the "Nearby Lawyers" platform, the feedback for the Law Firm of Alexander Silow presents a stark contrast. Those seeking assistance with traffic violations may find the positive review encouraging, suggesting a capable attorney who can achieve favorable results at a reasonable cost. The willingness of a former client to return and recommend the firm speaks to a positive experience in this specific legal area. However, individuals facing criminal charges, particularly drug-related offenses, should carefully consider the serious allegations made in the negative review. The starkly different experiences reported highlight the importance of conducting thorough due diligence, which may include seeking additional reviews or references, and having a detailed consultation to assess the firm's suitability for specific legal needs.
Given the conflicting feedback, potential clients should approach the Law Firm of Alexander Silow with careful consideration. If your legal needs involve traffic matters, the positive review suggests a potentially beneficial service. However, for criminal defense, the negative review raises significant concerns that should be thoroughly explored and weighed against any potential benefits. It is always advisable to have a direct consultation with the firm to discuss your specific situation, understand their approach, and assess whether they are the right fit for your legal needs. The limited and conflicting information available online underscores the necessity of thorough personal research and direct communication with the law office before making a decision on legal representation.

Alex was able to deliver the best possible outcome in my traffic case. Without going into details, I was facing a minimum of a six month license suspension; we were ultimately able to plea down to charges that did not result in any license suspension. I couldn’t be any happier with the level of support and ultimate resolution I received relative to the cost of Alex’s services. Should I require legal services in the future, Alex will be my first stop, and I would gladly recommend him to friends/family.
I hired Alex for my husband drug case. Seemed like a decent guy at first. Talked a good game. 5,000 in his hand from day one! He became the worst attorney. He was very rude and arrogant. yelled at me more than the DA. No motions was put in. We waited 6 months for notes of testimony from the preliminary hearing. Which my husband requested day one of him being hired. Gave him 6500 just for to make it seem like he got the best deal possible when he did no work. Would not recommend for a criminal attorney. He was selling my husband out to the DA the whole time in my opinion. He will take your money!
I have used Alexander Silow on multiple occasions and each time I receive the best possible outcome. Alex is one of the most knowledgeable and respected lawyers I have ever met. His commitment to his clients is unmatched and presence in the courtroom is second to none. Would absolutely recommend and have on multiple occasions to any person seeking representation.
Alex has been my go to professional for several matters dealing with everything from traffic violations to my parents estate to legal representation for a family member. He has always taken the time to answer any questions, and provided me with extensive legal advice so I am aware of every aspect of the matter at hand. After meeting with Alex, I am confident in the decisions made as he has taken the time to review all my options, my rights and responsibilities. The pride Alex takes in representing his clients is obvious. Alex has been a true savior during the most difficult times in my life. He remains my go to for any legal matters. I highly recommend him to anyone needing sound legal advice and/or representation. Don't waste your time or money with anyone else!
When I initially consulted Alex Silow to explain the details of my case, he seemed like a good fit as we had a similar take on both the situation and the plan of action. Unfortunately, our relationship soured quickly. I found him to be arrogant, rude, and self-serving. I learned to despise him even more than the lying cops and the low-life DA who cared nothing of my innocence, but only for the chance to bolster his record at my expense. They can all rot in hell and I hope they do. Silow interrupted me, and yelled at me repeatedly in the course of phone calls that should have been a calm back and forth discourse. There was no reason for such abhorrent behavior. I have never met anyone in any profession that talks to their clients like that. This is unacceptable in any setting. And he refused to believe me even though every word I said is true, which only complicated the case. Furthermore, it is my belief that he purposely failed to get the case dismissed in a pre-trial hearing, so that I would have to pay him another $2,500 to go to trial. If his pre-trial failure was not on purpose, then his defense was grossly incompetent. I was charged with theft. Fortunately, there was surveillance video of the entire incident, in which I picked a single piece of scrap wood out of a trash pile and put it back exactly where I found it in under 60 seconds. In order for that to be theft, by definition, there has to be "economic loss". So, after watching the video, the judge says "what's the difference between stealing a car and returning it the next day and stealing this piece of wood and returning it? Any decent attorney would have answered that taking a piece of wood from a demolished deck out of a scrap pile and putting it back within 60 seconds does not constitute "economic loss". Silow failed to do so. The judge held the charge over for trial and Silow put another $2,500 in his pocket, after which the DA, knowing he did not stand a chance at trail, promtly dropped the charges. This experience was a real eye opener about just how corrupt the criminal justice system is. Cops, judges and DAs need criminals (real or fabricated) to justify their cushy salaries from the county. And the defense lawyers are all too happy to extract every dollar they can from the defendant. It's a scam, and they're all in on it. Silow puts on a good act as if he cares, but he's about the $$$, not the client. Disclaimer. The above statements of opinion are just that, my opinion, not facts or accusations. Note: I did not just walk up radomly to a woodpile. I had worked on this property many times for the former owner, who is a building contractor, and believed that this wood belonged to him
