LacherLaw Introduce

For local users in New Rochelle, New York, seeking legal assistance, LacherLaw is a law office located at 270 North Ave, New Rochelle, NY 10801, USA. As a listed entity within the "Nearby Lawyers" category, LacherLaw provides legal services to the local community. While specific details about the office environment are not provided, its location on North Avenue suggests a professional and accessible setting for clients to meet with their attorney.

Based on the available customer reviews, LacherLaw is associated with attorney David Lacher, Esq. One client highly recommends Mr. Lacher for individuals needing an attorney to prepare a Will or Trust. This positive review highlights Mr. Lacher's friendly and respectful demeanor, as well as his high level of competence. The client specifically noted that Mr. Lacher was thorough and diligent throughout the process, indicating a commitment to comprehensive legal service in the area of estate planning.

The positive review suggests that LacherLaw, through Mr. Lacher, offers services in estate planning, particularly the preparation of Wills and Trusts. Estate planning is a crucial area of law that helps individuals manage their assets and ensure their wishes are carried out after their passing. Services in this field typically include drafting wills, creating trusts, planning for estate taxes, and addressing related matters. For local users in New Rochelle looking to secure their family's future and protect their assets, LacherLaw, with Mr. Lacher's expertise in this domain, appears to be a viable option.

However, another review presents a contrasting experience regarding a consultation for a basic review of a sale contract. This client reported being charged a $400 consultation fee to discuss a contract where the seller failed to disclose open applications for legalization work. The client felt that the basic information received during the consultation, specifically that provisions in a sale contract do not survive closing unless explicitly stated, could have been provided over the phone. The client also mentioned that Mr. Lacher indicated he would consult with other attorneys in his network and follow up, but allegedly never did. This review raises concerns about consultation fees and the value received during the initial engagement.

Considering these two reviews, it is important for potential clients to be aware of the differing experiences. The positive review suggests competence and diligence in estate planning matters, while the negative review highlights a potentially costly consultation experience with perceived lack of follow-through in a real estate contract review scenario. This discrepancy underscores the importance of clear communication regarding consultation fees, the scope of the initial meeting, and expectations for follow-up.

Features of LacherLaw, as perceived through the reviews, include Mr. Lacher's friendly and respectful approach, his competence and diligence in estate planning, and the potential for network consultation in other legal areas. However, a potential drawback, as indicated by one review, could be the cost of consultations and the perceived value derived from them, particularly in areas outside of estate planning. It is crucial for prospective clients to have a clear understanding of the consultation fees and the expected outcomes before engaging LacherLaw for any legal service.

Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. However, it is a common practice for law offices to offer initial consultations. Based on the negative review, it is evident that LacherLaw does charge for consultations, at least in some circumstances, and the fee reported was $400 for a contract review. Individuals considering LacherLaw should inquire upfront about consultation fees for their specific legal needs to avoid unexpected costs. It would be prudent to discuss the scope of the consultation and the expected deliverables to ensure transparency and value.

For local users in New Rochelle interested in estate planning services such as Wills and Trusts, the positive review suggests that Mr. David Lacher at LacherLaw is a competent and thorough attorney in this area. However, for other legal matters, particularly those involving contract reviews or areas outside of estate planning, the negative review serves as a cautionary tale regarding consultation fees and the perceived value of the initial engagement. It is recommended that potential clients contact LacherLaw at (914) 355-5900 or +1 914-355-5900 to inquire about their specific legal needs, the attorney's expertise in that area, consultation fees, and the process of engagement to make an informed decision.

In conclusion, LacherLaw, located in New Rochelle, NY, and associated with attorney David Lacher, appears to offer competent services in estate planning, specifically in the preparation of Wills and Trusts, as indicated by a positive client review. However, a separate review highlights a potentially costly and unsatisfactory consultation experience for a real estate contract review. Local users considering LacherLaw for their legal needs should be diligent in inquiring about the attorney's specific expertise in their area of concern, the fees associated with consultations and services, and the expected process and outcomes to ensure a clear understanding and a positive legal experience.

Felt taken advantage of by this business. Was told a consultation was $400 to discuss a basic review of a sale contract - in which the seller failed to disclose open applications for legalization work. Lacher could have told me over the phone that provisions in a sale contract do not survive a closing unless explicitly stated. Instead this gentleman led me to believe he needed to see my documents to really make sure. $400 later I walked out with basic information and no resolution. He claimed he would ask other attorneys in his network and get back to me. Never got back to me. Save your money and work with other reputable attorneys in New Rochelle.

I write this review not as a satisfied client, but as a professional colleague with nearly four decades of law practice under my belt who has had the pleasure to meet and work with David. It is notable when we cross paths with a professional such as David, an attorney who cares about his clients, evaluates their needs, explains their options and preferred course of action, and sees them through the process, whether it be their estate planning endeavors, the administration of a deceased relative's or friend's estate, a house or apartment purchase or sale, or a business / corporate matter. There are many lawyers to choose amongst. My advice? Choose one who is intelligent, well informed, and cares.

I hired Mr. Lacher to represent me in the sale of a co-op. I found him to be very professional, knowledgeable and patiently walked me through the process to completion. I will use him again should the need arise and refer him to anyone I find to need his services!
