Reviews

  • Horrible. It's been 2 yrs, no phone calls, no update, whenever I do reach out, same story and someone will return my call, then here we are two years later, still no current update. Usually you get a dude 3rd party receptionist or "Oh, looks like Kevin has your case and he's out of the office" By far the worst decision to come here. I was hit by another vehicle, my insurance went up due to this accident, yhe insurance company told Mr why my rate has went up. However, called company and company told me that it wasn't true. I'm very disappointed, because they were super nice upon initially meeting them.
  • STAY AWAY!!! Kevin Adams and his law office staff are unprofessional and exhibit unpleasant practices of not responding or responding rudely/aggressively towards their client. As previous reviewers stated, they are non-responsive and unpleasant to work with. They go months without communicating and neglect to return messages. I had an injury case where the insurance company offered a low ball settlement. I wanted to proceed with a trial, knowing a strong case could be presented, but my lack of confidence in his communication/professionalism made me decide to take settlement offer. After finally receiving settlement almost 2 years after injury, my payment was $1000 short of what was stated to be received - then Kevin Adams told me I had to wait 2-4 weeks for insurance company to correct mistake, which was unacceptable. After requesting my check be sent promptly, I was told my phone number would be blocked and no further communication regarding issue would be received - until he decided to pursue insurance agency regarding issue and they decided to send the payment. His services have been terrible and the staff's communication and professionalism are hard to believe - can't understand how he stays in business. I am moving forward with sending a formal complaint to the Kentucky Bar Association regarding his perceived violations, and would advise others to do so as well that have experienced his dissatisfactory representation. Kentucky Bar Association Statute SCR 3.3130 (1.4) Communication outlines obligations a lawyer has to their client regarding timely and effective communication. In my experience, Kevin Adams does not meet requirements.
  • I have used Kevin and his law group not once, but twice now. I will never go to another attorney. They are all very professional, timely, proactive and empathetic (just to name a few). Kevin Adams Legal group is the best!
  • They helped me out so much! i was in a bad car accident and went to them for the case. They kept me updated throughout the whole process! I highly recommend this team.
  • Wonderful group of people to work with, and will go above and beyond to get you what you need and deserve. Very good at responding to their clients.

Features / Highlights

Based on the provided customer reviews, potential clients considering Kevin M. Adams, Attorney at Law, should pay close attention to several recurring themes regarding client experience and firm practices. These points highlight significant areas of concern expressed by previous clients:

  • Severe Communication Issues: This is the most prominent and consistent highlight in the reviews. Clients repeatedly state a profound lack of communication, with phrases like "no phone calls, no update," "non-responsive," "go months without communicating," and "neglect to return messages." One client describes regularly getting "a dude 3rd party receptionist or 'Oh, looks like Kevin has your case and he's out of the office'." This indicates a systemic problem with client updates and responsiveness.
  • Lack of Professionalism and Unpleasant Interactions: Reviews explicitly mention that Kevin Adams and his staff are "unprofessional" and exhibit "unpleasant practices of not responding or responding rudely/aggressively towards their client." This extends to being told a phone number would be "blocked" for requesting a promptly sent check, which is a highly concerning display of client interaction.
  • Allegations of Inaction and Dissatisfactory Service: Clients claim that after initial meetings, there was "no current update" for two years and that the attorney "did nothing to help any of his cases." One client mentions being "very disappointed, because they were super nice upon initially meeting them" but found the services to be "terrible" overall.
  • Financial Discrepancies and Unacceptable Delays: A critical highlight is the report of a settlement payment being "$1000 short of what was stated to be received," followed by an "unacceptable" waiting period and initial refusal to correct the mistake promptly. This raises serious concerns about financial transparency and handling of client funds.
  • Impact on Case Strategy and Client Confidence: One client notes that due to "lack of confidence in his communication/professionalism," they decided to take a "low ball settlement offer" rather than proceeding to trial, even believing "a strong case could be presented." This demonstrates how the firm's practices negatively impacted a client's ability to pursue optimal legal outcomes.
  • Allegations of Bar Association Violations: A client explicitly states they are "moving forward with sending a formal complaint to the Kentucky Bar Association regarding his perceived violations," specifically citing "Kentucky Bar Association Statute SCR 3.3130 (1.4) Communication." This is a severe accusation that points to potential breaches of professional conduct rules.

These features, based directly on client experiences, indicate significant challenges in client relations, service delivery, and professional conduct. Prospective clients should consider these points very carefully when evaluating Kevin M. Adams, Attorney at Law.

Promotions or Special Offers

Based on the detailed customer reviews provided, there are no specific promotions or special offers explicitly mentioned or advertised by Kevin M. Adams, Attorney at Law. While many personal injury attorneys might offer free initial consultations as a standard practice (and clients mention being "super nice upon initially meeting them," which could imply such a consultation), no concrete promotional offers are highlighted.

Given the significant concerns raised by previous clients regarding communication and financial discrepancies after a settlement, prospective clients in Kentucky should exercise extreme caution and diligence when inquiring about any fees or payment structures. It would be critically important to:

  • Clearly understand whether the initial consultation is free and what it covers.
  • Obtain a transparent, written agreement detailing all fees, expenses, and the basis of payment (e.g., contingency fee percentage for personal injury cases).
  • Inquire about how settlement funds are disbursed and accounted for, including clear timelines and itemized statements.

Without explicit details from the firm itself, and in light of the past client experiences, prospective clients must prioritize gaining absolute clarity on all financial arrangements before engaging the services of Kevin M. Adams, Attorney at Law.

Conclusion: Why This Place is Suitable for Locals

For locals in Kentucky, particularly those in the Louisville area, considering Kevin M. Adams, Attorney at Law, for their legal needs, it is imperative to approach this decision with extreme caution and a thorough understanding of the comprehensive client feedback provided. While the firm's location at Title Bldg, 223 S 5th St Suite 230, Louisville, KY 40202, USA, offers a convenient downtown presence, the suitability of this legal service provider is severely impacted by the consistent and significant negative client experiences.

The overwhelming consensus from past clients points to critical deficiencies in fundamental aspects of legal representation: profound and prolonged communication failures ("no phone calls, no update," "go months without communicating"), allegations of unprofessional and rude staff interactions, claims of inaction on cases ("did nothing to help any of his cases"), and serious concerns regarding financial transparency and promptness in settlement disbursements. One client explicitly cites perceived violations of Kentucky Bar Association communication statutes (SCR 3.3130 (1.4)) and intends to file a formal complaint, which is a grave indicator of potential professional misconduct.

For any Kentuckian seeking legal assistance, particularly in personal injury cases where timely communication and diligent advocacy are paramount, these reported issues present significant risks. The inability to communicate effectively with one's attorney can undermine trust, hinder case progress, and ultimately lead to dissatisfaction with outcomes, as evidenced by a client feeling compelled to accept a "low ball settlement offer" due to a lack of confidence in the firm's professionalism. In a legal journey that is often inherently stressful, adding the burden of unresponsiveness and unprofessional conduct can be detrimental.

Therefore, based on the available public data, locals in Kentucky are strongly advised to exercise significant caution and consider exploring other legal options that can provide a more reliable, communicative, and professionally sound client experience. Prioritizing firms with a clear and consistent track record of positive client feedback regarding communication, transparency, and service delivery will be crucial to securing effective and trustworthy legal representation.
