Kerr Robichaux & Carroll Law Office Introduce
This profile provides an introduction to Kerr Robichaux & Carroll Law Office, a legal practice located at 626 SE Alder Street in Portland, Oregon. Operating within the 'Nearby Lawyers' category, this firm aims to serve the legal needs of the local community. While the physical environment of the office is not described in the provided information, its Southeast Alder Street location suggests accessibility within Portland. However, it is crucial for potential clients to carefully consider the information presented in the available online reviews before engaging their services.
The limited information available regarding the specific legal services offered by Kerr Robichaux & Carroll Law Office necessitates a reliance on the experiences shared by past clients to infer their areas of practice and client service approach. The reviews provided offer significant insights into the perceived features and operational style of this law office. One reviewer expressed a highly negative sentiment, stating, "They want to help. As long as it makes them money. Otherwise they don’t care at all. I was told I would be a waste of their time. Great way to treat a disabled person seeking help. Just like lawyers they are only about their own self interests." This review raises serious concerns about the firm's client prioritization and treatment, particularly towards vulnerable individuals seeking legal assistance. It suggests a potential focus on cases deemed financially lucrative, possibly at the expense of those with less straightforward or potentially less profitable claims. The experience described by this reviewer indicates a lack of empathy and a dismissive attitude towards a disabled person seeking help, which is a significant factor for potential clients to consider.
Another detailed review paints a concerning picture of the firm's operational practices and client communication. This reviewer states, "This office operates entirely by phone and email and does not actually provide you with the opportunity to seek advice from your lawyer." This lack of in-person interaction and reliance solely on remote communication methods could be a significant drawback for clients who prefer or require more direct engagement with their legal counsel. The review further alleges that if the firm determines a case has a low likelihood of success, they will inform the client "uncaringly" and then "effectively discard you as a client," while purportedly still attempting to pursue the case without updated information. This raises questions about the firm's diligence and commitment to clients, even in challenging situations.
The second reviewer's experience goes on to describe a problematic situation where the Social Security office allegedly advised the client to immediately remove Kerr Robichaux & Carroll Law Office as their attorney of record due to "predatory practice." Following this, the reviewer claims that the firm "refuse to remove themselves as attorney of record for months on end" until complaints were filed with the Oregon State Bar and the Better Business Bureau. These are serious allegations that suggest significant issues with the firm's ethical conduct and client management. The reviewer concludes by explicitly recommending that potential clients seek alternative firms that may provide a better experience, even in cases with a low probability of success. This strong negative recommendation should be carefully considered by anyone contemplating using the services of Kerr Robichaux & Carroll Law Office.
Given the overwhelmingly negative nature of the available reviews, it is challenging to identify positive features or promotional aspects of Kerr Robichaux & Carroll Law Office based solely on this information. The recurring themes of perceived self-interest, lack of care, poor communication, and alleged predatory practices and unethical conduct in client disengagement present significant red flags for potential clients. These reviews collectively suggest a firm that may prioritize financial gain over client well-being and may not provide the level of support and communication that individuals typically expect and require from their legal representation.
The address at 626 SE Alder Street in Portland indicates a physical presence within the local community, which might typically be seen as an advantage for accessibility. Similarly, the provision of a phone number, (503) 255-9092, and a mobile/direct line, +1 503-255-9092, suggests that the firm can be contacted. However, in light of the reported experiences with phone-and-email-only communication and difficulties in direct engagement with the lawyer, the accessibility implied by the location and phone numbers may not translate into the desired level of client interaction.
In conclusion, this introduction to Kerr Robichaux & Carroll Law Office, based on the available online reviews, presents a cautionary overview for potential clients in the Portland, Oregon area. While the firm operates within the 'Nearby Lawyers' category and has a physical address and contact numbers, the strong negative feedback regarding client care, communication practices, and alleged ethical issues warrants significant consideration. The reviews suggest potential problems with prioritizing client needs over financial interests, a lack of direct lawyer interaction, and difficulties in disengaging from the firm even when advised to do so by external authorities. Local users seeking legal representation are strongly advised to carefully weigh these reported experiences and consider alternative legal options that may offer a more client-focused and ethical approach.
Given the serious nature of the allegations made in the client reviews, potential clients should conduct thorough due diligence before considering Kerr Robichaux & Carroll Law Office. This could include seeking additional reviews from other sources, checking the firm's standing with the Oregon State Bar, and potentially consulting with other attorneys in the Portland area to get a broader perspective on legal representation options. The reported experiences highlight the importance of choosing a lawyer who not only possesses the necessary legal expertise but also demonstrates a commitment to ethical conduct, clear communication, and genuine care for their clients' well-being.
The negative feedback regarding the firm's alleged treatment of a disabled person seeking help is particularly concerning and underscores the importance of finding a legal representative who is respectful and understanding of the diverse needs of their clientele. Similarly, the reported difficulties in communication and the alleged predatory practice of retaining attorney of record status against a client's wishes are serious ethical considerations that should not be overlooked. Potential clients deserve legal counsel that is responsive, transparent, and acts in their best interests.
For local users in Portland, Oregon, navigating the 'Nearby Lawyers' platform, the information available for Kerr Robichaux & Carroll Law Office serves as a critical reminder of the importance of looking beyond basic contact information and considering the experiences of past clients. The strong negative themes present in the reviews suggest that engaging this firm may come with significant risks related to client service, communication, and ethical conduct. Therefore, it is recommended that potential clients exercise caution and explore other options within the 'Nearby Lawyers' category that have a more positive and reliable track record of client satisfaction and ethical practice.

They want to help. As long as it makes them money. Otherwise they don’t care at all. I was told I would be a waste of their time. Great way to treat a disabled person seeking help. Just like lawyers they are only about their own self interests.
This office operates entirely by phone and email and does not actually provide you with the opportunity to seek advice from your lawyer. If it turns out you have no hope of qualifying, they will explain this to you uncaringly and then effectively discard you as a client, while still attempting to try your case, without ever contacting you for updated information, until the social security office calls and tells you that you should immediately remove them as attorney of record because of that predatory practice. And then they will refuse to remove themselves as attorney of record for months on end until you file complaints with the OR state bar and better business bureau. I know for certain there are firms that will provide a better experience than this one, even if your case isn't winnable.
The worst disability law firm ever!!! The same that everyone else is saying they never get back with you I did all the paperwork I did all the footwork they didn't refile I waited a year they never called me they never return your call they lied to me told me that social security lost my paperwork and it was them they said I was going to be getting back pay for a year that they didn't refile and I didn't they lied they didn't deserve a penny I was approved but that was for me I am turning them into the Oregon State bar and I think everyone that has been served wrong by them should also and the better Business bureau for legal malpractice and unethical behavior they are crap I can't believe that they are even operating still but not for long I heard do not use this firm I'm warning you!!!
Yes I got directions to this law firm, but I was curious about them and wanted to know if they were located here in Portland, Oregon. Now the reasoning behind that is do to the fact that I began receiving calls and text messages from them shortly after I was denied my SSI benefits. I see Kerr Robichaux & Carr as ambulance chasers but I now know that they were giving my contact information by the Social Security department. Yes they hound me and harassed me, but for good reasons. You see they knew that I needed legal advice and representation plus that I had a time frame for my appeal. Well I'm glad that they did what they did or I wouldn't be where I'm at with Social Security Services and my benefits. Thank you Kerr Robichaux & Carroll.
Poor execution that took far too long to only get denied because they failed to schedule an evaluation. Ive maintained the same address for 6 years. Lawyer refused certified/registered mail services after of multiple instances of mail never arriving. And on top of failing to provide solutions, multiple times I tried to end my pursuit of a claim. They did not take my "No, I don't wish to continue my claim" at its worth and proceded to ignore my requests to end this years-long(initial filing ~2017) process that wasted my time. If I'm the only one offering solutions to the problems we faced I should have been given the option of pro-bono or sliding scale representation. They lead this vulnerable adult on so they could get a large chunk of back pay since this lasted for years. Today March 12th 2025 days before my appeal hearing I'm finally getting calls from this office, which should been done months ago. I responded for the last time to an email stating, "I'm no longer interested in pursuing a claim. I will not return any calls or emails. My time has been severely wasted." Any further contact via email will be forwarded to the judge along with the other emails. I will be showing up for my hearing. To further cement my decision to fire Bradley Hoke as my representation. Go elsewhere! Or if you have to go here, get away from Bradley Hoke.
