Reviews

  • Be cautious before working with this company. They may say whatever is necessary to sign you as a client, but once you’re on board, they seem to lose interest. I experienced a complete lack of follow-up for 40 days and was met with unprofessional and rude behavior when I called for an update. Cindy, in particular, accused me of calling too often and being angry, despite my reasonable attempts to get an update. This was one of the most unpleasant customer service experiences I’ve ever had.
  • I was a client with them a few years ago, I was trying to open up another case with them, but thanks to the case worker Emily Ruiz she was rude af and her tone was ugly and very sarcastic.. never again. Thank you.
  • The worst ever. Please don't go there.I will be back with more explanation.
  • This firm hands down are the best personal injury attorneys in Chicago. They have handled injury cases for myself and my family. Their results have been phenomenal
  • I don't see how people can comment negatively when this firm works hard for the justice deserved for the people. They help as much as they can to get the best outcome possible for the circumstance of the case. I haven't seen anyone work as hard as they do. Highly recommended :)

About Karchmar & Lambert, P.C.

For individuals seeking legal services through platforms like "Nearby Lawyers," accessibility and reliable client service are paramount. Karchmar & Lambert, P.C., located at 211 W Wacker Dr Ste 1400, Chicago, IL 60606, and reachable at (312) 977-1300, is a law firm operating within this category. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the firm, its environment, and services based on available information, including recent client feedback, which is crucial for potential users making informed decisions.

The environment of Karchmar & Lambert, P.C., situated in a prominent building on Wacker Drive in downtown Chicago, implies a professional office setting. Suite 1400 suggests a well-established presence within a commercial high-rise, which is typical for legal practices in a major city. Such locations generally offer accessibility and a professional façade. However, for a law firm, the internal environment and operational culture are equally, if not more, significant than the physical location. Client reviews, which are a vital source of information for "Nearby Lawyers" users, paint a concerning picture regarding the internal client service environment at Karchmar & Lambert, P.C. While the physical space might be standard for a legal office, the reported experiences of clients suggest a challenging internal atmosphere concerning communication and client relations. Concerns about a "complete lack of follow-up for 40 days" and instances of "unprofessional and rude behavior" from staff members like Cindy and Emily Ruiz, indicate an internal environment that may not consistently prioritize timely updates or empathetic client interactions. The sentiment of feeling like clients are "calling too often and being angry" when seeking updates, despite reasonable attempts, points to a potential disconnect in how client communication is managed within the firm.

Based on typical services offered by firms of this nature in Chicago, and implicitly from the nature of client complaints (which often arise in personal injury or workers' compensation cases where ongoing updates are critical), Karchmar & Lambert, P.C. likely offers legal services in areas that involve sustained client interaction over a period of time. While the specific legal areas are not explicitly stated in the provided reviews, the complaints regarding "case worker" interaction and the need for "updates" are common in fields such as:

  • Personal Injury: Including car accidents, slip and falls, medical malpractice, etc., where cases can be lengthy and require frequent communication about medical treatments, negotiations with insurance companies, and litigation progress.

  • Workers' Compensation: Assisting individuals injured on the job, which also involves managing medical bills, lost wages, and often prolonged negotiations with employers and insurance carriers.

  • Other Litigation-based Practices: Any area of law that involves ongoing court proceedings or negotiations where consistent client updates are expected and necessary.

The firm's operations would typically involve initial consultations, case assessment, gathering evidence, negotiating with opposing parties, and potentially representing clients in court or before administrative bodies. The core service, regardless of the specific legal area, would be to provide legal representation and guidance to clients throughout their cases.

The features that stand out regarding Karchmar & Lambert, P.C., according to the provided reviews, are largely negative and pertain to client service and communication. One key feature, or rather, a notable concern, is the reported "lack of follow-up." A client experienced a "complete lack of follow-up for 40 days," which is a significant period for any legal case, and particularly concerning for clients who are often in vulnerable situations. This suggests a potential systemic issue with proactive client communication.

Another prominent feature highlighted is the alleged "unprofessional and rude behavior" from specific staff members, namely Cindy and Emily Ruiz. Accusations of staff using "ugly and very sarcastic" tones and accusing clients of "calling too often and being angry" directly contradict the expectation of professionalism and client care that individuals seek in legal representation. This kind of interaction can severely erode trust and create an "unpleasant customer service experience." For a firm operating in the "Nearby Lawyers" category, where reputation and client experience are paramount, these reported behaviors are significant and directly impact the firm's perceived features.

While the firm's stated goal might be to secure favorable outcomes for clients, the reviews suggest that the client journey and communication during the process are significant areas of concern. The positive aspects typically associated with law firms, such as responsiveness, empathy, and clear explanations, appear to be notably absent in these specific client experiences.

From a promotional standpoint, firms typically highlight their successes, expertise, and client satisfaction. However, for Karchmar & Lambert, P.C., based solely on the provided reviews, any promotional efforts would need to address the very significant concerns raised by past clients. These reviews present a direct challenge to the firm's ability to attract and retain clients through traditional positive messaging.

  • Challenges for Promotion: The primary promotional information derived from the provided reviews is negative. Phrases such as "Be cautious before working with this company," "lose interest once you’re on board," "complete lack of follow-up," "unprofessional and rude behavior," "ugly and very sarcastic tone," and "one of the most unpleasant customer service experiences" directly undermine any positive promotional efforts. For a firm in the "Nearby Lawyers" category, word-of-mouth and online reviews are critical, and such feedback can significantly deter potential clients.

  • What Can Be Learned: For a firm to promote itself effectively in light of such feedback, it would need to demonstrate a tangible and immediate commitment to improving client communication and customer service. This might involve implementing new communication protocols, providing intensive staff training on client relations, or publicly addressing past criticisms with a clear plan for improvement. Without such corrective measures, any promotional information would be directly contradicted by existing client experiences, potentially leading to further negative sentiment.

In conclusion, while Karchmar & Lambert, P.C. occupies a central location in Chicago and likely offers standard legal services, the objective information from recent client reviews points to substantial issues in client communication, follow-up, and staff professionalism. Users of the "Nearby Lawyers" platform evaluating this firm would need to carefully consider these reported experiences alongside any other available information to make an informed decision about their legal representation. The current promotional landscape for this firm, based on the provided data, is dominated by concerns regarding client service.
