  • Family-Based Immigration: Assisting U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents in sponsoring their relatives for green cards, including spouses, children, parents, and siblings. This involves navigating complex relationship requirements, affidavit of support issues, and potential waivers.
  • Employment-Based Immigration: Helping foreign nationals obtain temporary work visas (such as H-1B for skilled workers, L-1 for intracompany transferees, O-1 for individuals with extraordinary ability) and permanent residency (green cards) through employment-based categories. This includes navigating labor certification processes and employer sponsorship requirements.
  • Deportation and Removal Defense: Representing individuals who are facing deportation or removal proceedings before the immigration courts. This involves analyzing their case, identifying potential defenses (such as asylum, cancellation of removal, waivers), and vigorously advocating on their behalf.
  • Asylum and Refugee Status: Assisting individuals who have fled their home countries due to persecution or a well-founded fear of persecution in seeking asylum or refugee status in the United States. This requires a thorough understanding of international human rights laws and the specific requirements for asylum eligibility.
  • Visa Applications: Guiding individuals through the process of applying for various non-immigrant visas for temporary stays in the U.S. for purposes such as tourism (B-2), business (B-1), and education (F-1, J-1).
  • Green Card Applications (Adjustment of Status and Consular Processing): Assisting eligible individuals in obtaining lawful permanent resident status (green card) either from within the United States (adjustment of status) or through a U.S. embassy or consulate abroad (consular processing).
  • Citizenship and Naturalization: Helping eligible lawful permanent residents apply for U.S. citizenship, including preparing the application, assisting with the interview process, and representing applicants at the naturalization ceremony.
  • Immigration Appeals: Representing clients in appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) and federal courts when an immigration application or case has been denied.
  • Waivers: Assisting individuals in applying for various immigration waivers to overcome grounds of inadmissibility that might prevent them from obtaining a visa or green card or could lead to their deportation.
  • Investor Visas (e.g., EB-5): Helping foreign investors and their families obtain green cards by investing a certain amount of capital in a U.S. business that creates jobs.

The instant we entered his office we felt at home simply because of the accommodating staff and David immediately broke the ice. Office was very interesting- what caught my attention was the display of jujitsu belts incorporated into the office design, which speaks a lot about his personality, that he's someone who knows what he's doing, and very knowledgeable regarding our concerns. As an athlete, I had many detailed questions and this was given with even more detailed answers. Was very enlightened when we left. Thank you David. Nico

David Teller and KPB are as good as it gets. I own a swim company where we sponsor professional Olympic swimmer's visas to come to the United States to train and work. We have sponsored athletes from Brazil, Canada, Israel, and New Zealand. Working with David has been a huge help in growing our business and giving us valuable insight on Immigration Law where both our employees and us would be lost otherwise. I highly suggest working with David. His understanding of Immigration law and devotion to his clients is unmatched. Call KPB!

I had David Telfer and Jean Pierre Gallelli helping with my J1 so I could start a trainee program in US and I couldn't ask for more. Two amazing and caring attorneys who advised me in every single detail and helped to move my career to the next level. I felt like I was dealing with friends of how comfortable I felt with them. Their experience and the fact that both of them speak fluent portuguese gave me way more confidence during the process. I can't thank you guys and KPB enough. I am happy to refer your company to everybody I know. Thank you so much. Obrigada! Debora
