In December 2024, the firm said they would file a motion for relief from stay. When I followed up 2 months later about the case, they said they never filed the relief and now they were too busy to take on the case. They took almost no accountability for this mistake which costs me an extra 2 months.

I originally left a review three years ago that said this firm was "Competent and caring." But that was only after my first meeting with Jeff. Please understand: Jeff was great. But he left the company before filing for my case, and the company completely forgot about me. When I asked about the status of my case, I had to start all over with Gina. She seemed nice and willing to help. But then she left the firm. And, again, they completely forgot about me. This time when I contacted them, they said they had no record of me and no record of my paying them nearly $5000 to handle my personal and business bankruptcies. I had to dig up the certified check receipts to prove to them that I was a client, and that they hadn't done anything on my case in nearly three years. They offered to settle for a "partial refund" of the nearly $5000 I had paid. After I declined and said I wanted a full refund, they blocked my email addresses (and my IP address, I'm sure, because I tried securing new email addresses to contact them, but they were blocked as well). I've been stuck in rural Michigan for some time now, and I have no landline or cell phone service, so I can't call them. So without email or phone, I have no way to contact them. I've been stuck in limbo for three years now since the failure of my business because this firm can't keep track of me after lawyers assigned to my case quit the firm. At this point, I just want a refund. At least then I could pay off a few of my creditors, who have also been strung along by this firm's foot-dragging. If you hire this firm, and your lawyer doesn't quit in the middle of your case, they might actually do a good job. But the two lawyers assigned to my case quit the firm, and both times the firm forgot I existed, and both times I had to start all over. I'm done with this. Bankruptcy is an urgent matter, and this firm has done nothing for me in three years after being paid in full in the fall of 2019. Not recommended.

We went to their Ennis office in Ellis County and hired an attorney there. The experience was a major plus +++ as we had excellent representation from an attorney to resolve an issue with someone else who refused to cooperate in doing business. The attorney who represented us, cared about us. No hassle. Their secretary called to remind us about the hearings. Hire this law firm. AAAAA+++++ 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The review by Trevor Turnbow is not from a client of our Firm. Mr. Turnbow is a disgruntled opposing party in a pending litigation matter. Please disregard his review. If you have questions or concerns, please contact our Firm.

Based on the detailed customer reviews, several features and highlights can be identified regarding Joyce W. Lindauer Attorney, though some present areas for consideration:
-
Initial Positive Impressions: One client initially described the firm as "Competent and caring" after their first meeting with attorney Jeff. This suggests that the firm aims to create a professional and supportive atmosphere for new clients, at least during initial consultations.
-
Individual Attorney Strengths: Attorneys like Jeff were initially well-regarded, with one client finding him "great." This indicates that individual lawyers within the firm may possess strong capabilities and client-facing skills.

-

-
Willingness to Consider Complex Cases: The firm engaged with a client on both personal and business bankruptcies, indicating a readiness to handle multifaceted financial situations.
It is important for potential clients to weigh these aspects carefully against the concerns raised in the "Promotions or Special Offers" section to form a complete picture of the firm's operational consistency and client management.
As a content writer, I must adhere strictly to the provided information and avoid inventing details. Law firms, particularly those dealing with sensitive matters like bankruptcy, typically do not offer "promotions" in the commercial sense. However, they generally operate under certain standard practices that could be considered "special offers" in the legal services industry:
-
Initial Consultations: It is common for law firms specializing in bankruptcy to offer initial consultations. This allows potential clients to discuss their financial situation and legal options without an upfront fee. While not explicitly stated in the provided text, this is a standard industry practice that would be beneficial for new clients to inquire about.
-
Payment Structures: For bankruptcy cases, fees are typically structured differently than in other legal areas. Clients should inquire about the firm’s fee structure, including whether payment plans are available or if a portion of the fees is required upfront. The provided review indicates that a client paid "nearly $5000" upfront, suggesting a retainer-based system or fixed fees for services.
It is crucial for any prospective client to directly contact Joyce W. Lindauer Attorney to discuss their specific case, understand the fee structure, and clarify any payment arrangements or initial consultation policies. The reviews provided do not highlight any positive promotions or special offers, and instead, focus on significant issues regarding refunds and case management after payment. Therefore, any "special offer" would be a standard industry practice rather than a unique promotion from the firm based on the given data.
For those considering legal assistance from Joyce W. Lindauer Attorney, the primary contact details are as follows:
-

It is recommended that potential clients utilize these contact methods to directly reach out to the firm. This direct communication is essential for discussing specific legal needs, clarifying any concerns, and obtaining up-to-date information regarding their services, policies, and availability. Given the feedback provided, direct and persistent communication from the client's side may be particularly important to ensure their case is properly managed.
For locals in Texas, particularly in the Dallas area, the decision of choosing legal representation for sensitive matters like bankruptcy is significant. Joyce W. Lindauer Attorney is centrally located in downtown Dallas, offering a convenient physical presence that can be easily accessed by those in the metroplex. Their stated focus on personal and business bankruptcy suggests a specialized knowledge base, which is often desirable when dealing with complex financial legal issues. The firm’s historical ability to attract and hire attorneys who can initially provide a sense of competence and care, as indicated by early positive client interactions, shows a potential for strong individual legal talent.
However, it is crucial for local Texans to carefully consider all available information, including the detailed client reviews. While the firm's downtown Dallas location and specialization in bankruptcy are beneficial, the recounted experiences regarding case management, attorney transitions, and communication breakdown are significant factors that any prospective client should address directly with the firm before engaging their services. Transparency and clear communication from the outset will be paramount to ensure that local clients feel confident and supported throughout their legal journey. For those seeking assistance with bankruptcy, verifying the firm's current operational structure and client management protocols will be key to determining if they are the most suitable partner for their urgent financial needs.
