However, it is crucial for potential clients to carefully consider all available feedback regarding the firm's services to make an informed decision about their legal representation.
The physical environment of Jon D. Williams, P.C.'s office at 9 Exchange Place, Suite #600, likely offers a standard professional setting expected of a law firm in a metropolitan area. Located in a commercial building, the 6th-floor suite would typically include private offices for attorneys, meeting rooms for client consultations, and administrative support areas. While specific details about the office decor or client amenities are not provided, the expectation is a space conducive to confidential legal discussions and the efficient management of legal cases. The downtown location provides convenient access for clients working or residing in Salt Lake City and the surrounding areas.
The specific legal services offered by Jon D. Williams, P.C., are not explicitly detailed in the provided information. However, based on the nature of legal practices, it can be inferred that the firm handles various legal matters to serve its clientele. These areas could potentially include criminal defense, personal injury, business law, family law, or other fields of litigation and legal counsel. The contrasting customer reviews provided do offer some insight into the firm's handling of at least one criminal defense case. To obtain a comprehensive understanding of all the legal services offered by Jon D. Williams, P.C., direct contact with the firm via phone at (801) 746-1460 or +1 801-746-1460 is recommended.
The customer reviews for Jon D. Williams, P.C., present a stark dichotomy in client experiences. One reviewer offers high praise, stating that Jon has "turned my life around for the better" and enthusiastically recommends him to close friends and family, asserting that "If you need a job done right, Jon’s your man." This positive testimonial suggests a client who experienced a favorable outcome and was highly satisfied with the services provided.
In stark contrast, the second review details a profoundly negative experience. This reviewer describes Jon D. Williams as "Absolutely worthless" and recounts a situation where they paid a significant retainer of $20,000 based on a promise to take the matter to trial. Despite this agreement and the payment, the reviewer alleges that Mr. Williams promptly advised taking a plea deal upon cashing the check and stated that proceeding to trial would double the cost. The reviewer reluctantly took the plea deal and was then informed that no portion of the $20,000 retainer would be returned. Subsequently, the client had to hire a third lawyer to address issues allegedly created by Mr. Williams and their first attorney. This reviewer accuses Jon D. Williams of being "only interested in taking your money" and describes unprofessional behavior, including boasting when questioned. They strongly advise potential clients to "Buyer beware stay away!" and even encourage those who feel "screwed over" to file a complaint with the bar association, noting their own unsuccessful attempt to do so.
The features of Jon D. Williams, P.C., as perceived through these conflicting reviews, are contradictory. The positive review suggests effectiveness and a positive impact on the client's life. However, the negative review raises serious concerns about billing practices, fulfillment of promises (regarding trial versus plea deal), communication (implied through the swift shift in strategy after payment), and overall professionalism. The allegation of increasing fees significantly after the retainer was paid and the refusal to refund any portion after a plea deal was taken are particularly troubling aspects highlighted in the negative feedback.
From a promotional standpoint, the single positive review could be used to attract clients seeking impactful legal representation. The strong endorsement and assertion of getting the "job done right" could be appealing. However, the detailed and highly critical negative review presents a significant challenge to any positive promotion. The allegations of deceptive practices regarding fees and trial promises, coupled with the strong warning to avoid the firm, would likely outweigh any benefits from the positive feedback. Transparency and addressing the serious concerns raised in the negative review would be crucial for any effective promotional strategy.
Potential clients considering Jon D. Williams, P.C., should carefully weigh these contrasting experiences. The positive review indicates the possibility of satisfactory service, but the negative review raises red flags regarding financial practices, communication, and the firm's commitment to the initially agreed-upon legal strategy. It would be prudent for prospective clients to conduct thorough due diligence, ask detailed questions about fees and case handling procedures during any initial consultation, and potentially seek references or additional reviews to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the firm's practices.
For local users in Salt Lake City seeking legal representation within the "Nearby Lawyers" category, Jon D. Williams, P.C., located downtown, is an available option. However, the significant discrepancies in customer experiences, particularly the serious allegations of unethical billing and unprofessional conduct in the negative review, necessitate extreme caution. Potential clients are strongly advised to thoroughly investigate these concerns and consider alternative legal counsel to ensure their interests are protected and their legal matters are handled with integrity and professionalism.
In conclusion, Jon D. Williams, P.C., situated at 9 Exchange Pl #600 in Salt Lake City, presents a complex picture for potential clients. While one review praises the life-changing positive impact of his services, another details serious allegations of deceptive fee practices, broken promises regarding trial, and unprofessional behavior. This stark contrast in feedback underscores the critical importance of thorough research and due diligence when selecting legal representation. Local users in Salt Lake City should carefully consider these reviews and ask pointed questions about fees, communication, and case strategy during any initial consultation to make an informed decision about whether Jon D. Williams, P.C., is the right legal fit for their needs.

Jon has turned my life around for the better! Highly recommend to my closest friends and family. If you need a job done right, Jon’s your man.
Absolutely worthless. He agreed to take my case if I gave him 20,000.00 dollars. He promised for that amount he would take the matter to trial. I gave it to him and he promised we were going to trial. While I will admit my case wasn't easy by any means. He was the second lawyer I hired. The second he cashed my check he said I should take a plea deal that was offered. He also said if I wanted to go to trial it would double the cost. Once I very reloctantly took the plea deal I asked how much of the 20k I would be receiving back. He said none. I then had to hire a third lawyer to clean up the mess that he and my first lawyer made. Jon is only interested in taking your money. He also will show his over inflated who and tell you how great he is if you question him. Buyer beware stay away! Also if you got screwed over by him I encourage you to go to the bar association. They probably won't do anything like when I reported him. But if enough people complain it might force their hand on the matter.
Not sure why people would ever complain about Jon. He has been my attorney since 2000. He kept every promise he ever made to me. When others said I had no chance, Jon always came through.
I’ve know and have been represented by Jon for many years now. He has helped my mom have her case dismissed and helped me with various other legal issues. One of the best out there.

This guy took a asset from our family in exchange for attorney fees and once he got the vehicle, we never heard from him again. He has never shown up to court for purposes containing our family member. Do not trust this company. They will take your money and disappear.
