Jason Cruz was an excellent choice as my divorce lawyer. He is extremely knowledgeable, experienced and professional. During the initial person to person meeting, Jason made his recommendation on how to proceed with my divorce. He understood my goals to have a divorce that financially protected me and achieved the best possible outcome for all parties while keeping costs at a reasonable level. He helped me navigate the complexities of the incident to divorce agreement process, divorce process, and child custody. During the back and forth with the other side, I always received the best possible advice and Jason worked very hard to make sure that I was well protected. While the divorce was very emotionally driven for me, he kept my focus on the goals and the best interest of the kids. Throughout the process, he remained cognizant of the needs of my children, comprehended and respected my values. He is very meticulous in his work and extremely knowledgeable.He is sincere and straightforward about what one can expect from a case. If you want a lawyer who takes your money and is only available when he HAS to be.. jason cruz is your guy. I originally received Jason a referral through my company partnership. When I originally hired Jason, I thought he would be able to be someone to support and guide me in divorce efforts after our initial conversation.. He helped me to push out an initial court date. After receiving several threats from my former spouse, Jason was unresponsive in guiding me my rights or how to handle his demands. It wasn't until 4 days before mediation that he became available. The mediation process went fine and he was supportive during the meeting so I thought ok maybe he was just unavailable due to the holidays? Then it was time to receive the drafted final decree. I had requested status of the decree several times, again with no response from Jason. It wasn't until almost a month after completion and reaching out to the the opposing attorney that I finally received the decree for review. He claimed it was in the junk email and when I had asked if he actually tried to call the opposing attorney if he couldn't find it in his inbox.. he just responded with he did what I asked and requested it. The opposing attorney claimed she has tried to send the draft to him 3 times. The last issue was when the final court date was set. I had emailed Jason immediately (30 days out) that I would be out of town so I would like to push out by a week with no response. In the meantime my former spouse and I were considering renegotiation of terms. I called Jason with a request to push out the date the weekend before trail and explained my situation once more and he wasn't convinced that the judge would approve a move. The court hearing happened while I was not in attendance as again I was out of town. Jason called me ahead of time to see if I would just be signing the decree, I let him know I would not as there were some errors and I'd like to push out a week. I had emailed Jason as soon as a I got back to town for status, no response. Its now been two weeks post the hearing, 4 emails and 3 call later. Still not response from Jason. I found out I was divorced through a county court search. I have also received no guidance on how to close out final assets, set up child support or received a copy of the final decree.. I am not one to ever write reviews, but because of this experience during such a life altering event, I felt it was necessary.
Today is one of the best days of our family's lives. Let me start by saying, Jason was hired one week before trial for my sister's CPS case, she was facing termination of rights over her 3 year old daughter. Jason came in with a bang, He stood out the very first day of trial. He took what he had and ran with it. He is very knowledgeable and he is a genuine person. He was always so attentive to our needs, answered all calls, and even met with our family after hours to accommodate us. I put my faith in Jason and he executed in court and outside court. Because of him we won our case, my sister gets a chance and her rights were not taken, in fact, he also helped and assisted another attorney to grant full custody rights over my niece. Everything we wanted, he made sure happened. He was prepared all the time!! Very knowledgeable, and easy to work with. Because of him, our family is complete and my niece was not adopted!!! He is affordable, and loves to help others. With one week he had before TRIAL, he over exceeded my expectations. I will refer him to everyone I know. The best family attorney I have ever worked with. I put my trust in you Jason! My family is so grateful, and there is nothing I can do to show you how grateful we are for you!
I would give it 0 star if I could. It's a waste of time and money. We feel helpless and scamed! After over a year of a simple divorce case, we got nothing. We call him almost everyday and send emails, but he won't even response. And his staff can't even help because they just keep transferring calls to Att. Cruz so you can leave message that they won't get bother to listen anyway. It took us like not even 24 hours to get everything sets up and started with him, but obviously even longer than a year to not even get done with no updates and impossible to even get hold of him. It almost felt like he will take your money then leave you hanging afterwards. Because you won't even have idea what is going on. Save your self time and money. HIS NOT WORTH IT! Nothing personal, but this lawyer is the worst.
Jason Cruz sux he was never prepared and ready always writing notes in court last min thing. He never talked to me about my case but always had emails that he needed my money he was pretty fast to collect money than work on a case. I don’t recommend him as an attorney.
