He is a real attorney for the state of Nebraska. However, I would never recommend him, as he is a very shady attorney within the state of Nebraska and it seems like does not have his client’s best interests in mind when representing them. It seems like he is out to make quick easy money, and take the easy way out on his client’s, therefore do not use him even though he is stating he has over 30+ years experience in the field. When you had him as an attorney in the past and need to speak about a case he, handled for you he does not contact you back and he wants nothing to do with you. Therefore, when you see someone with five stars for a rating and there are no comments behind those ratings it rather makes you wonder. As I have stated he is a very shady attorney.

If I could give him 0 stars, I would. Takes over a year to get a divorced filed. Finally, my ex and I just did everything ourselves, because we would go so long without getting answers to calls or emails. Had to get it reinstated, because he dropped the ball. Horrible. Ridiculous. Unprofessional. Do yourself a favor, hire a competent attorney!

For local users in Omaha, Nebraska, who are searching for legal representation within the "Nearby Lawyers" category, James R. Kozel is an attorney with a listed office at 11920 Burt St #145, Omaha, NE 68154, USA. When considering any legal professional, it is important to gather information regarding their practice environment, the services they offer, their distinguishing features, and any available promotional details, alongside public feedback. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based on the information provided and found online.
The environment surrounding James R. Kozel's practice, as indicated by the address, is a professional office suite. Located at 11920 Burt St #145, this suggests an individual or small firm setting within a commercial building, typical for many legal practices. Such an environment would generally be designed to facilitate confidential client discussions and the handling of sensitive legal documentation. While no specific details about the interior decor or operational efficiency of his office are publicly available, the expectation for any legal practice is a space that supports professionalism, discretion, and a focused approach to legal work. The nature of legal services inherently requires a setting where clients can feel secure in discussing their personal or business affairs. The physical location provides accessibility for individuals seeking legal counsel in the Omaha area.
Regarding the services offered by James R. Kozel, the provided information primarily highlights his professional status as "a real attorney for the state of Nebraska" and that he "is stating he has over 30+ years experience in the field." However, specific details about his primary practice areas (e.g., family law, criminal defense, business law, personal injury, etc.) are not explicitly provided within the given text. In the absence of detailed information about his specializations, it is generally assumed that an attorney with "30+ years experience" would have handled a variety of legal cases over their career. Without direct confirmation of his active service offerings, potential clients would need to conduct further inquiry to ascertain if his expertise aligns with their specific legal needs. For the purposes of this objective introduction, the focus remains on what is explicitly stated: he is a licensed attorney in Nebraska with significant experience, though the specific types of legal services he currently provides are not detailed here.
Several features, both positive and concerning, emerge from the provided customer reviews regarding James R. Kozel. A verifiable feature is his status as a licensed attorney in the state of Nebraska, confirming his legal authorization to practice. Another stated feature is his claim of "over 30+ years experience in the field," which, if accurate, would suggest a long tenure in the legal profession and presumably a wealth of knowledge accumulated over decades. However, the client reviews raise significant concerns that act as crucial counterpoints to these potential positive attributes. The most prominent feature highlighted by clients is a consistent negative assessment of his client-focused approach and communication. Repeatedly, clients describe him as "very shady attorney within the state of Nebraska" who "does not have his client’s best interests in mind when representing them." The perception is that he "is out to make quick easy money, and take the easy way out on his client’s." Furthermore, a critical feature noted is his alleged unresponsiveness to past clients; when they "need to speak about a case he handled for you he does not contact you back and he wants nothing to do with you." This suggests a significant issue with post-representation client care and accessibility. The reviews also cast doubt on the credibility of star ratings without accompanying comments, hinting at potential artificial inflation of positive feedback. These features, particularly the strong negative criticisms, are central to understanding his public perception.
For promotional purposes, any attorney would typically leverage their experience, successful case outcomes, and positive client testimonials. In the case of James R. Kozel, the primary "promotional" point mentioned is his "over 30+ years experience in the field." A lawyer with such extensive experience would theoretically be well-versed in legal procedures and strategies. However, the provided promotional benefits are severely undermined by the explicit and repeated negative feedback from real customers. The reviews serve as a stark warning to potential clients. Statements such as "I would never recommend him," "do not use him," and "DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS MAN" are direct and forceful deterrents. Allegations of "malpractice," "disrespect," "ethical violations," and taking "the easy way out" are profoundly damaging and directly contradict the desired image of a trustworthy attorney. The accusation of being "out to make quick easy money" and neglecting clients' best interests indicates a perceived lack of professional integrity. The reported unresponsiveness to former clients seeking follow-up on past cases is also a significant concern, suggesting a disinterest in ongoing client relations. The reviews explicitly advise, "You would be better off representing yourself than hiring Bill Bianco," which, although mistakenly attributing this to "Bill Bianco" instead of James R. Kozel in the copied text, clearly reflects a deep dissatisfaction and regret among clients. While the phone numbers (402) 341-0660 and +1 402-341-0660 are provided for contact, prospective clients are strongly advised to consider the detailed and critical client feedback when evaluating James R. Kozel for legal services in Omaha. This objective introduction provides both the minimal stated positive attributes and the significant concerns raised by previous clients.
