First off, whoever decides to look up this law office I do recommend you stop what you’re doing and make a better choice… I have been in the process of my papers for the past six years and unfortunately, I have lost time and money because of this law firm … Not only I was discriminated by one of the paralegals which she is the manager of the law office ‘ heavyset woman’ Cuban to be exact… as my last court date was approaching they had to reset court because they did not send the proper fingerprints which the actual judge in that court hearing stated to the attorney that he’s been in practice for more than 20 years and he should know better. They were charging me an additional thousand dollars just to appear to the reset hearing due to their in compliance of proper documentation. As I didn’t have any more money after paying in total over $9000 and paying upfront in less than three months $5000 they didn’t take any of that into consideration, even if it was their fault I went to withdraw my case from their firm to represent myself in my court hearing and to the response of the manager she laughed in my face and asked as she was leaving the office. ‘’Did I bring the money?’’ I stated no I’m here to withdraw my case with you guys so I can represent myself on my court date. She looked at me and said hopefully you get deported…. I didn’t respond. I turned my back and walked away to avoid any chaos and it’s not worth arguing with someone that has no moral or humanity specially, coming from the same country we both came from. Cuba… Moral of the story I qualify for a Cuban adjustment and as I have been in this process for 6+ years, this lawyer stated three years ago I do not qualify for that. I have to continue fighting for my papers to remove my conditions of me coming into this country . The judge ended up telling him in court. Why do you still want to continue this case if you know, you can lose it and have this person deported just because you wanna win a case…. The judge is the one that pressured the lawyer to close this case take a loss and help me do a Cuban adjustment a process so simple that can have saved me time and money and this lawyer Robert and his firm the only thing they care about is money…. If you want a lawyer to represent you that doesn’t even know if you’re married how many kids you have and ask you questions minutes before you hearing doesn’t argue back with the prosecutor or doesn’t even try to help you for the best outcome of your benefit, be my guest. I have also reported him to the bar because it’s so unfair that I have paid so much money and yet I ended up representing me in the end and received my status by the judge and state attorney’s office ending that day in advising me never to hire that attorney again. No thanks to them. I finally have my status and papers…. Less then 1 star and hopefully karma hits this firm and they get treated the same as they treat the people.
This review has been a long time coming. The Law Offices of Robert Sheldon have assisted me with my DACA status for approximately six years and are now supporting me in advancing my residency status. Their team has consistently displayed the utmost professionalism throughout the entire process. Over the years, I have interacted with several team members, all of whom have been honest, helpful, and committed to my case. I will continue relying on this office for my legal needs and highly recommend them to family and friends pursuing immigration goals. Sincerely, Uriel.
