My experience with Jerome A. Hierseman, was in early April 2017. I was recommended to him by someone, (that will remain nameless), from Gruber Law Offices. The person that I talked to at Gruber, about my dealings with various medical people, mainly doctors, and one pain management place: "Advanced Pain Management", plus my first neorosugeon by the name of Dr. Lynn Bartl. Now I have to mention that I was not complaining about Dr. Bartl, but I was complaining about her office assistant/coordinator. This coordinator totally was diagnosing me over the phone, of which she had no business doing, besides not degreed in any medical ways at all. Now this started with me trying to get an appointment with Dr. Bartl, from early July 2014, until I finally over road this gal, and talked to another neurosurgeon, to finally get through and get an appointment with Dr. Bartl, finally on Dec. 30th, 2014. I had lumber fusion on April 15th, 2014, and I was getting better, until early July that year, in an area that was lower than my surgery. Keep in mind that this was my 2nd experience with lumbar, spinal fusion. The 1st one was in Jan. 2005. I had a number of points that I told this lady/person, about all of many misdiagnoses. One was with Advanced Pain Management. This doctor there totally misdiagnosed me from the time that I saw him. Which was from Jan. 2015 until Oct. 2015. He diagnosed me with "Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction". You would think that after 3 epidural shots into my sacrum area, plus a one week trial of having a neurostimulater, and that hurt me more than my original pain, that this "SO CALLED DOCTOR", would have figured out that my, sacroiliac joint, WAS NOT THE PROBLEM. After seeing a new neorosugeon in October that year, he saw right away that my problem was a "herniated disc, that was protruding out and pinching my nerves, and causing my low back/left leg groin area/ then down my shin. Fixed me right away. Now Mr. Hierseman's person that took my statement, and or him, himself said that he had a conflict of interest in Advanced Pain Management. He then pointed out in a 10 point letter to me, that there are no guarantees in back surgeries. Getting into the Dr. Bartl part. Well, I know that, since I previously had surgery on my low spinal area, and I was told that by Dr. Bartl, minutes before my surgery in April 2014. I talked to this idiot who took my statements over the phone, and either she, and/or Jerome Hierseman took, and twisted everything that I said, and it made me look like a complete idiot. I had more stuff that I said to them, that would take a number of pages to talk about them all. It was as if the lady that I talked to, wrote down every 5th to 10th word of what I said, because not one of HIS 10 POINTS, was anywhere near to what I said to this lady. She should have recorded the conversation. I know that she didn't because I was not informed that I was being recorded. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS ATTORNEY TO ANYONE. Now this is a bit over 7 months, that this happened, but it set me in a very, very depressed, and digusted mood for months, to where I haven't contacted any other attorney, because I don't wish to go through this kind of PATRONIZING OF ME, AS BEING STUPID. Of which I am not!

About Hierseman Jerome A
For local users in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, seeking legal representation, particularly in matters related to personal injury or potential medical malpractice, Jerome A. Hierseman is an attorney listed under the "Nearby Lawyers" category. His office is located at 600 N Broadway # 3, Milwaukee, WI 53202. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of his professional environment, the types of services implied by client feedback, his features, and some promotional considerations, drawing primarily from the detailed client review provided, as no other specific public information was given.
Jerome A. Hierseman's office is situated at 600 N Broadway # 3 in Milwaukee. This address places the firm in a central, downtown Milwaukee location. Broadway is a well-known street in the city, typically indicative of a professional and accessible business district. Suite #3 suggests an office within a multi-story building, which would likely offer a standard professional environment. While specific details about the interior aesthetics or the building's amenities are not publicly available, one can infer that the office would be designed to provide a discreet and functional space for legal consultations. Clients visiting a downtown law office can expect a professional setting, although considerations like parking availability and ease of access via public transport would be relevant for potential visitors. The environment would aim to be conducive to private discussions, which is essential when dealing with sensitive personal injury or medical issues.
Based on the provided client review, Jerome A. Hierseman's legal services appear to be centered around personal injury, with a specific focus on cases involving medical negligence or misdiagnosis. The client's detailed account of their medical issues, including misdiagnoses by doctors and a pain management clinic, strongly indicates that Mr. Hierseman was approached for a potential medical malpractice claim or a complex personal injury case stemming from medical treatment. While the review doesn't list other explicit services, it implies his practice areas include:
- Medical Malpractice: Investigating and potentially litigating cases where medical professionals' negligence leads to patient harm, such as misdiagnosis, improper treatment, or surgical errors. The client's complaint against "Advanced Pain Management" and a neurosurgeon's office coordinator points directly to this area.
- Personal Injury: Broadly, this would involve representing individuals who have suffered harm due to the negligence or wrongful actions of others. The client's spinal issues and subsequent problems would fall under this umbrella.
- Civil Litigation: The nature of such claims would involve pursuing compensation through civil court proceedings.
The review details a complex medical history, indicating that Mr. Hierseman's firm likely handles intricate cases that require understanding of medical terminology and processes. The client's frustration with communication suggests that the firm's intake process involves obtaining detailed accounts from potential clients regarding their injuries and medical history.
The distinguishing features of Jerome A. Hierseman, as derived from the provided client review, are unfortunately presented with a strong negative bias from that particular experience. The client explicitly states, "I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS ATTORNEY TO ANYONE." Key features and concerns raised by this client include:
- Conflict of Interest: The firm reportedly identified a "conflict of interest in Advanced Pain Management," which potentially limited their ability to pursue that specific aspect of the client's case.
- Communication and Information Gathering: The client expresses severe dissatisfaction with how their "statement" was taken. They claim that the person taking the statement (and/or Mr. Hierseman himself) "twisted everything that I said, and it made me look like a complete idiot." The client also alleges that the firm's "10 points" provided back were "nowhere near to what I said to this lady," implying a significant misrepresentation or misunderstanding of their recounted events. The lack of recording the conversation was also a point of contention.
- Perceived Lack of Empathy or Patronizing Behavior: The client felt "PATRONIZING OF ME, AS BEING STUPID," leading to long-lasting feelings of depression and disgust. This suggests a significant breakdown in the client-attorney (or intake staff) relationship and a perception of disrespect.
- Specificity and Expectations Management: The client was informed there are "no guarantees in back surgeries," a point the client already knew, indicating that perhaps the firm's response was generic or not tailored to the client's nuanced understanding of their situation.
While this is only one client's perspective, it highlights potential areas of concern regarding communication, client perception, and case evaluation processes. It's important to note that law firms often handle numerous cases, and individual client experiences can vary widely.
From a promotional standpoint, any marketing efforts for Jerome A. Hierseman would need to carefully consider and potentially address the type of feedback exemplified in the provided review. For prospective clients searching for "Nearby Lawyers" for personal injury or medical malpractice, such a detailed negative testimonial could be a significant deterrent. Typically, law firms promote their experience, successful case outcomes, compassionate client service, and thoroughness. In this instance, the promotional efforts would need to counteract the perception of poor communication, misunderstanding of client narratives, and a less-than-supportive client experience.
For individuals seeking legal help in medical malpractice, the need for an attorney who is not only knowledgeable but also meticulous in gathering facts and genuinely empathetic is paramount. The critical review suggests that these qualities were perceived as lacking in this specific interaction. While the phone numbers (414) 278-8060 and +1 414-278-8060, along with the downtown Milwaukee address, provide direct access for inquiries, the firm's public image would heavily rely on other, potentially more positive, testimonials or a demonstration of improved client intake and communication protocols. Law firms often rely on positive client experiences and referrals, and a review of this nature can significantly impact a firm's ability to attract new clients in sensitive practice areas like medical malpractice. Therefore, any objective promotion would necessitate acknowledging the potential for varied client experiences and emphasizing a commitment to addressing client concerns and delivering high-quality legal service.
